I am running down a hallway and I burst through the door to see everyone dead.

I woke up from my nightmare. I turned on my side and saw feet, I forgot I am sharing my room with 10 different clan members. I rub my eyes and go change clothes, it was pretty early in the morning so I had to sneak by everyone. I then went outside to train, I got my knifes all in one hand and threw 10 and hit all of my targets except one, the one hit didnt hit the bullseye, so I did it again this time I hit them all, I repeated this 20 times and everytime I fail I would start over.

I got my bow and started to practice shooting 1 arrow, when I hit the bullseye I did it 20 more times if I failed I would start over, I then got 2 arrows and did the same, and 3.

I then practiced my sneaking skills by sneaking up on the clan members awake already, if they didn't spot me I would sneak away again. I went out to the open area, everyone was awake by now, I went into one of the corners and started to do workouts, 5 sets of 200 jumping jacks, 200 push-ups, 140 pull ups, and 200 sit ups. When I finished I went to go get Emily. Emily was already suited up and activated her Runic Eyes, I grabbed my weapon of choice and got ready

"Ready"

I tightend my grip

"Set"

I positioned my feet in a stance I am making

"Go"

I got into my defense position because Emily is aggressive in fights. She threw 8 knifes at me and I dogged them, and caught the last on with the end of my kunai, I spun it around and threw it at Emily, she was running at me to the right, she dogged it but I was right behind the kunai so I sweeped her feet and pressed my foot on her neck and threw kunais to stop her arms from attacking

She struggled to get out then gave up

We fought for 3 hours straight, I won 128 times she won 103 times.

It was the last round, so she played differently she threw 7 knifes instead of 8, I dogged them and didn't bother taking the last one, she disappeared, it was her Runic eyes she had the ability to become invisible, I closed my eyes and activated mine, I heard a nothing, I deactivated it and jumped back, if I couldn't hear her footsteps she must've jumped. I threw two knifes and tagged her foot, she then reappeared. I charged her and she threw 20 knifes, I couldn't dodge so I had to use my Runic eyes, I activated and looked at her.

"Amenotejikara!" I yelled

My Runic eyes are very different from everyone else's, not only is the color different, but it has different properties than my clans Runic Eyes. My Amenotejikara can replace my place with what ever I am looking at

I looked at her and saw Emily get pelted with wooden knifes.

I walked over and went to go help her up, she hit my hand away

"I don't want help from a freak like you" she said

She got up and stormed off, everyone in the training yard stared at me with disgust. I ran off to my secret training spot and sat there with my knife my Father gave me.

"Become the greatest" was engraved on it

It was a black dagger, it was absolute black no sun could get it to reflect light.

I cried thinking about what did I do to deserve a curse called my eyes

I sensed someone sit next to me, I looked up and saw it was Abella. Abella is the nicest person in my clan because she accepts me for who I am, she knows I can't control what my eyes do and look like. I looked over at her, she smiled and leaned over and gave me a hug

"Its ok, you can't be sad for trying to be the best, no one should get crap for trying their best" she patted my back

I looked at her eyes, they were green just like everyone in the clan, when they activate they turn a neon green, mine are purple, and when I activate my eyes they go all black with one dot of purple in the center.

She laughed

"I can't understand why people hate your eyes they look badass if you ask me" she ruffled my hair

"Thank you I needed that" I said

"Say, want to go do some missions agaisnt monsters?" she asked

We went down to the Assassins guild to get a hunting contract. We were lucky enough to get a Demi-Wolf, we had to kill 25 of them near a farm. I got my hunting gear and got my bow and knifes.

I felt goos for some reason I felt like I could take them down alone. I got 35 arrows and dipped them in a poison only Demi-Wolfs are deadly allergic to. We got to the hunting site and got ready, I dropped the elk meat and waited for their noses to smell the meat. I shrugged my bow off my back and got ready, Abella did the same. I loaded 2 arrows and waited to draw back, we heard a howl, we jumped into the trees and waited for the bait to work. All of the Demi-Wolfs were there.

I grabbed a grenade that would let out the poison they were allergic too. I pulled the pin and dropped it, I then shot my arrows loading 2 more quickly, Abella also shot her arrows taking down 2, I activated my Runic Eyes and fired faster, I was able to shoot 4 before one of the arrows hit their mark. The grenade went off and killed the rest, I jumped down and put my bow back, and took my knife out to go loot. Their fangs are good for making knifes, and arrow heads, Abella was doing the same.

A giant roar broke the silence, we froze and Abella used her grapple hook to blast back to the trees, I still felt good so I turned and saw a minotaur. It was probably the reason why the wolfs were here. We were D ranked hunters and I was ranked C rank assassin and C herb collector. The minotaur was A rank monster, even our best clanmate struggles with minotaur and gets severely hurt.

"RUN!" Abella yelled

"Dont worry I got it" I said

"We are D ranks and this a, A rank monster, we need help" she yelled again

"I will ask for help when I need it" I said

The minotaur got ready to charge, I activated my Runic Eyes but something was different, my eyes were able to see a lot better in the dark. The monster charged, but he seemed slow? I dodged and he ran into a tree hurting himself.

I laughed

"RUN!" Abella yelled again

The minotaur got his sword ready and swung

It was so fast I couldn't dodge so I blocked.

I may have blocked it successfully but I also got flung away and the force itself broke my dagger. I then took out another one, I threw 5 knifes at him and they all hit his back but he showed no reaction. Something in my head whispered, this happened when I got my Amenotejikara

"Say Amaterasu"

"Amaterasu!" I yelled

The minotaur bursted into blue flames, he was pretty smart to roll on the ground, the fire was put out but I grabbed his fallen sword and chopped his head off cutting his roar. I felt good but my legs and arms were weak as hell. I grabbed his horn and chopped it off. Everything went dark.

I woke up at my clans Nurse room and Abella was sitting next to my bed, I sat up but Abella pushed me down

"Rest" she said

I fell asleep again

I woke up, from a good dream and I saw Abella sleeping. She looked cute

I slowly got up and walked to the Nurse on duty

"Hey so what happend?" I asked

"You should know what happened mister D to B rank in one night." The Nurse said

"You fought a minotaur and won" she said

I nodded and paid her and left

I got back to my room and changed clothes. I walked across the training field.

"Your awake early sir" It was the clan leader Quinn he is in his late 70's

"Yeah I need to train" I said not looking at him.

"Ok good luck then" he said

I went to my training spot and did my daily training session, it seemed easier than normal for some reason. I remembered that I should start practicing my Amaterasu

"Amaterasu!" I said

The targets in front of me bursted into blue flames, and kepted burning. I tried to pin point my aim and it worked better, I was getting tired from all the mana usage so I went all out

"AMATERASU!" I yelled putting more mana into it.

A Black flame appeared, I tried to put it out with water magic but it did nothing.

"Kagutsuchi" The voice whispered again

"Kagutsuchi!" I said

The flames went out.

It was so cool, I waited for my mana to come back to keep practicing, I practiced so much I didn't fight Emily today. I then tried to put the black flames on my sword, it worked! But it started to melt my blade so I put it back quickly

"What if I use Kagutsuchi to try and shape the flames?" I thought to myself

"Amaterasu!,.Kagutsuchi!"

I then said my hand over the flames and spread them out, and used the Kagutsuchi to make it not burn the blade

I then mastered it really well and I tried to cut stuff with it and it absolutely destroyed stuff, I then went to spar with Emily. She was brusied from yesterday.

We sparred and I won 110 times and she won 99 times

I then went back for training the flames Abella was there.

"Hi, Abella. Look at my new power!" I was happy

She looked at me in disbelief

"No one has gotten a level two Runic eyes at such a young age, and your eyes are more powerful too so it should be harder." she was confused

"Look" I pointed at a tree

"Amaterasu!" it bursted into black flames

"KAGUTSUCHI!" The flames went out

"WHAT HOW DID YOU DO THAT!!"She was happy I mastered the Amaterasu so early on

She gave me a hug and stayed there

"My eyes seem better too!" I said

"Let me see" Her green eyes lit up with joy

I activated my eye

"WHAT YOUR EYE!" She exclaimed

She made a mirror using her magic

I looked at myself, I had a larger dot of purple in my eye now and a faded ring around the edge

"WHAT!" I exclaimed

"Lets go monster hunting and see how good it is" she said

"Yeah!"
