The ruins lay unattended as the wounded cease to live.The sky was bloody and the ground was wet.As if the gods have already turned their faces away from the forlorn fate of the county of Shan.

Even the atmosphere was breaking out when thousands of woman weeped as rainfall was falling hard.Crows were sitting everywhere, giving ominous signs of the country's down fall.

Shan Xing,the empress was sitting on the ground as she held her dear husband's dead body in her bosom.She had no expression, a blank stare in the sky that she gave while the other concubines cries grew louder. She was unbelievably calm and her eyes were red.

"Empress,please let us take his majesty's body for the funeral.",an Eunuch came and requested her.

She was lost in thoughts.....her gaze was in the sky.She couldn't hear what he said.....she only asked him to repeat whatever he said. She was listening more intently than before.

"We need to prepare for his majesty's funeral.It is already daybreak and tomorrow we have to be hostages to the Nin empire.",he was expressionless whenever he said that....

"Get lost you imbecile!!!",the Empress shouted at the top of her lungs.She took the sword by her hand and slashed his throat. The other concubines were surprised and equally feared when they saw the empress.She ceased to be a human and turned into a demoness.

"We,the demon clan have never lowered our head to anyone.I am the demon clan's last survivor.My husband lays here dead in the sunset and people thinks of their own lives.I have lost my identity as the 'Ashura',but I haven't cease to death!!...I will rage war against the Nin county alone.Our pride shall not die in the mud.We will not hide our head in the burrows.The sunset ,red and angry will depict our anguish.Support me if you can.Avenge our husband.Come forward.....regain your pride as a clan member!!",she huffed,her eyes bursting into tears.

Her husband's dead body lay cold when she throws away her crown.Her eyes have turned red due to anguish....She no longer knew compassion. She became a demoness

The other concubines looked at her.Some looked at her with empathy while others looked at her with fear.

But someone came forward to give her ,her support. It was no one other than concubine Xia.

"I will be at your side empress....I have lost a husband just like you.You are the Ashura,but still we have our own dignity and reputation. I will aid you in destroying the Nin county.I bet my life on it." she said it in one go.

Some other concubines came up as well. Many took sword in their hands and whips in their other hands.They took out the horses and raced towards the battlefield.
