" dad I did it to help her , she don't have anyone in this world . " Asher Azim said to his father Adil Azim .

" did this to help her ? you said the same thing before Asher and we supported your decision . " Adil Azim said in anger .

" dad i don't have choice . " Asher Azim said

" don't have choice . hmph ! what a nerve to say that . you just have to make sure , she had a roof on her head and food to fill her stomach . " Adil shout in anger . his breathing become laboured .Adil was a heart patient .

" dad ... " Asher call out worriedly . he come to his father side to rub his back but Adil push his hand away .

" dad please.." Asher plead .

"Asher don't say anything you know your father is a heart patient . please . " Afaf Azim Asher's mother said to her son and rub her husband's back .

Afaf was crying she never thought her son who she was so proud at , will do something like that .

"calm down Adil ." said Atifa Azim Asher's grandmother . then she look at Asher and said " How will you tell Zara about this "

when Zara come home she saw the sitting room was a little crowded . Zara look around and saw second uncle and third uncle's family was also there . except for third uncle's two kids everyone was there . the Azim family all live together but it was really rare for them to be together .

Then Zara's eyes stop at the man who she was waiting for almost two months . Zara smile happily she have so many things to tell him . he didn't tell her on the telephone that he was coming .

" When did you come back " Zara happily called out to her husband Asher .

When Asher hear Zara's voice he stunned . he turn and look at Zara . her face was bare without any makeup it's been 8 years since they were married but time did not leave a imprint on her , she look the same like when he first saw her , innocent and pure . like worldly dirt can't touch her .

Zara was smiling happily at him her brown eyes was bright and warm , there was two dimples that adore her cheek when she smile . Zara was not very beautiful but when she smile her whole face and eyes will brighten like star which Asher like the most .

Asher didn't answer her he just stare at her bright smiling face . Zara look at Asher's side and saw a beautiful girl , she might be in her early twenties .

" Who is she ." asked Zara .

but no one answer her then Zara notice this strange silence which she failed to noticed before . she look around and saw everyone's gaze was on her that make her confuse . her mother in law Afaf's eyes were red like she was crying .on her father in law Adil's face was a look of disappointment .in her grandmother in law Atifa's eyes there was worry .

Zara was still contemplated when there was someone who laughed out .

Zara turn to look at the direction where the sound of laughter come .

Zara saw second uncle Jamshed and aunt Haniya's only daughter and child , Anam was laughing humorously , she was looking at Zara with disdain and contempt . It was not new for Zara she always looked at her like this . She never accept Zara .

Anam laughed and said ." You want to know fine I will tell you she is Asher's wife ."

" Wife ? " Zara said in disbelief . She didn't believe in her ear what she hear just now , but no one said anything Zara turn to look at her husband Asher for answer .

Asher turn his eyes away from Zara , he didn't looked in her eyes . Zara looked Asher for some time and got the answer she was looking without him saying anything . Zara turn to look at her husband's new wife who was looking down this whole time . Zara only can see her side face but Zara can tell that she was beautiful . The young woman looked fearful and anxious that make her looked more delicate and provoked a feeling to protect her .

The more Zara looked at her husband's new wife the more she felt it was hard to breath . She felt like someone steal all oxygen from her lungs . She didn't knew what to say only one thought come to her mind ' If this woman is his wife then what I am ' but she didn't say anything . She didn't knew if she can say anything , she just stood there like a statue , stunned and in disblief .

" She's the one Asher love and choose her " said Anam . She didn't want to leave this chance to mock Zara . She never liked her .

' Love ? ' thought Zara . Yes love this word pierce in her heart like a needle . Zara knew her husband didn't love her and she never expected it . He gave her too much to expect anything more from him and she didn't want to burden him more . But he never mistreat her and gave her the respect a wife deserve , it's just that she forgot this and believe everything will be like this . She forget that she was not his choice . She forget that he only marry her to save her .

" Say Asher what your answer is " Atifa asked and broke the silence .

Asher looked at Zara and said " Grandma Zara is my responsibility and I will fulfil it whole heartedly but I can't leave Gul . " Asher felt guilty towards Zara but Gul was also his wife and he don't want her to suffer more . He wanted her to give families warmth she never had before that's why he brought here .

What Asher said was the last straw to Zara , she was only his responsibility and nothing more , maybe a burden he can't get rid . She understand that there was no room for her to say anything .

" Asher , Zara is your wife and also your son's mother , how can you do this to her . When you bring this woman here didn't you think about how she will feel . And this woman how can she married a man who already have a wife and son . " Said Atifa . Atifa always like granddaughter in law of her even though she didn't choose her .

Asher felt the woman beside him tremble slightly after hearing those words . Asher knew she was afraid .

" Grandma it's my fault it was my decision and if you are saying that it's Zara who will decide then I will talk to her . " said Asher .

Atifa didn't believe in her ear what her grandson said . she said in anger " How could you ..... "

" Grandma please it's between me and my wife . If Zara agree please accept Gul . " Asher said and turn to look at Zara .

Asher look at Zara he didn't know how to start and hesitated . He look at the woman beside him who he loved and saw she was crying silently . Then he looked at Zara again who he spent 8 years with and found her looking at him he knew Zara very well and knew that she will agree . She never objected him before . Asher took a deep breath and said " Zara you are my wife and you will be always but Gul is also my wife I can't leave her alone outside . Can you please agree to Gul living here ."

Zara was stunned . How could he asked her this ? Zara looked Asher in trance .

" Brother why are asking her this . She don't even care look at her she is not even crying ." Anam sneer at Zara .

When Zara hear this she come out from her trance and thought it's not like she didn't feel anything or she didn't want to cry . It's just that she didn't know if she can cry or if anyone value her tears .

Zara looked around both uncles and aunts was looking like they are watching a drama they didn't care what will be the outcome , Anam was laughing at her , her father in law was not looking at anyone but she knew he was worried more about families raputaion than her , her mother in law's eyes were still red and was looking at Zara in her eyes was sadness and hope Zara was a mother and she understand no mother wants her son to suffer any hardship and Afaf was no different she also wants her son to be happy . Then Zara looked at her grandmother in law and saw worry in her eyes Zara knew that she was the only one that was worry about her .

Zara turned and look at Asher and Gul and felt pain in her heart when she saw how well they match together , a beautiful woman and a handsome man , like a painting , surreal .

" Zara... " Atifa began to say . Atifa wanted to say that she don't have to agree to Asher when a voice cut her words .

" I don't have a problem . " said Zara . Only she knew how hard it was to say those words .

After Zara said those words Adil stand up and left . Afaf looked at her husband's retreating back and then looked at her daughter in law Zara , she understand how Zara felt , her eyes filled with tears but she didn't know what to say to her and left with her husband .

Atifa was looking at Zara the whole time and saw the pain in her eyes which she was trying to hide by looking down . She felt heartache for Zara but Atifa knew Zara made her decision and she didn't need herq pity now but she need her support .

" I am going back to my room . It's time for Aaron to come home from school . Excuse me ." after Zara said that she also left . She didn't want to stay here anymore .

After Zara left one by one evryone began to go only four persons left in the sitting room .

Anam said to Gul " Gul come I will show you your room ."

Gul looked at Asher he smile at her gently and said " Go with Anam she will show you your room ."

Anam held Gul's hand and said " Now you get your husband's permission . Let's go ." Anam laughed and dragged Gul away .

When Gul hear the word husband her face turned red and Anam teased her .

Their voices faded as they gone far . Asher smiled at ease when he saw that but his smile froze when he hear his grandmother's words .

" You will regret this someday Asher . " after saying this Atifa also left , leaving Asher alone .
