Magic was natural around the world. Everybody has some sort of magic that they were born with. New types of magic are discovered every day, the possibilities are endless, but one day a very dangerous magic was brought into the world. Corruption had the ability to slowly kill whoever it infected. In a way the ability was sort of like a disease. This became known as Corruption at small amounts the corruption could do no harm. Small amounts of corruption can cause a simple cold or another minor illness will be inflicted. This quantity of corruption is common,and it's how minor illnesses came into existence in the world.

 During the sickness of a person their magical abilities could experience a variety of different outcomes. Their abilities could be altered, causing their entire magical ability to shift; for example fire users would become ice for a little while. Their abilities can be extremely sensitive for example instead of causing a spark a fire mage could cause a massive explosion on accident. At mid sized amounts the corruption acts as a small poison, killing the user slowly. The death takes up to a year or longer depending on the person and how well they can tolerate it. Large amounts of corruption can kill someone instantly. The corruption can be cured at medium amounts; smaller amounts go away within time.

Now that the background is set, let's get to school. It was a new year at Rose academy a string of freshmen were making their way to class. A small girl looking like she belongs back in junior high was walking through the halls with her chin held high. She had orange hair, red eyes, and fairly toned skin. She wore the standard girls uniform consisting of a black blouse underneath a red dress, and a black jacket.

On the other side of the school was a boy with dark hair, pale skin and black eyes. He wore the standard boys uniform. The uniform consisted of a red button up, a black jacket, and black pants. He walked around with a smile on his face greeting the other students. Last there was a boy with red hair, fair skin, and purple eyes. He looked tired and like he didn't wanna be awake. He saw other students and wanted nothing to do with them. He avoided everyone he could.

Near the entrance there was a boy with dark hair, blue eyes, and tanned skin. He wore a gray hoodie, black ripped jeans, and a pair of high tops resting on his head were headphones. He walked to his class and rarely spoke to any of the other students only interacting when they spoke first. Most of the time it was a simple 'good morning' or a 'hi'.

Stretching while most of the boys gawked at her was a girl with dark messy hair, tanned skin, and yellow eyes. She wore a black jacket, a pink dress and a black blouse under, accompanied by black leggings, and black boots with pink soles, and laces. /

The small girl walked into the class and scanned the room. If I sit at the back then no one can really bother me...but then that would mean getting called out more the girl thought. The girl then looked at the middle. If I sit there then I can mind my own business and not get called on as often because the teacher will think I'm paying attention, the girl thought. They looked at the front row. If I sit here then I'll probably get called on a lot due to the fact that the teacher can tell when I'm not paying much attention  the girl thought. She sighed and plopped down in a chair in the middle closer to the window waiting for the other students to see who her classmates would be.

The next person to walk in was the boy with dark hair and pale skin wearing the school uniform. The girl looked at the dark haired boy and then back out the window that's one other student in the room let's see the others... thought the girl. As she finished her thought the other female student walked in taking her seat in the front row as the boy that had walked in quietly sat next to her. She's beautiful but...how do I tell her that as a compliment without being awkward  the boy thought. He was pulled from his thoughts as another student walked in, but this one was beside the teacher. This student had white hair, purple eyes, and fair skin he wore the standard boys uniform. The teacher standing beside the students spoke "Hello class, I am your Teacher Mrs. Yuki" said a woman with blonde hair. She wore what looked like a business suit with black heeled boots, and a tie to match.

Walking late into class was the boy with tanned skin and blue eyes. He spotted everyone else seeing them in their uniforms causing him to get  red with embarrassment. He rubbed the back of his head "I uh...I didn't think the uniform was required on the first day" said the boy.

What an idiot... thought the orange haired girl. Her thoughts were interrupted by the purple eyed boy.

"Why is there a middle school kid in our class?" asked the boy.

The orange haired girl's eye twitched "middle school...kid??" she repeated angrily  then sent a fireball at the purple eyed boy.

"Oh shot tempered? ya know some people find that really unattractive" asked the purple haired boy as he made a sword of darkness and sent it to counter the fireball.

"Class hasn't been going on for a minute and you two are already fighting" said Mrs. Yuki

The messy haired girl shook her head and looked at the purple eyed boy "you shouldn't judge someone based on their height" she said.

The orange haired girl and purple eyed boy ignored Mrs.  Yuki and the girl speaking to them. "I will burn you alive!" shouted the orange haired girl. In that instance she sent another fireball at the purple eyed boy.

The boy made another blade of Darkness and countered it "woah there flame princess, its against school regulations to attack another student when not in sparring class" said the boy.

"I don't give a shiiiit!" said the orange haired girl sending another fireball

"listen spaz could ya stop and learn to take a joke" said the purple eyed boy.

Mrs. Yuki cleared her throat which caught the two student's attention, now that she had their attention she looked back at the clipboard in her hand. "Ahem, now that I have your attention I will begin roll call" said the teacher. The boy with ripped jeans sat behind the girl with orange hair at a window seat. "Carmen Igarashi?" asked Mrs. Yuki

"Here!" said the orange haired girl.

"Riku Yuki?" asked Mrs. Yuki

"Yes ma'am" said the boy with purple eyes.

"Akaze?" asked Mrs. Yuki

"Present" said the boy with grayish eyes

"Raiden Murasame?" asked Mrs. Yuki

"Yo" said the boy with ripped jeans and a gray hoodie.

"Lotus Ichinose?" asked Mrs. Yuki

"Alive and well" said the girl with untamed hair.

"Karma?" asked Mrs. Yuki

"don't wanna be here," said Karma.

"good now that we have done roll call you may now take your seats....first and foremost I'd like to properly introduce myself. My name is Kira Yuki. I will be your teacher for the remainder of the year at Rose Academy. My magic is Gravity, and now that I've done that I'd like to go from the right side of the room to the left. You will stand up say your name, magic type, and one thing you like" said Mrs. Yuki

The first to go to the front of the class was the orange haired girl known as Carmen. As she walked to the front with pride in her step as she approached the front. The girl looked at the other students and cleared her throat. "My name is Carmen Igarashi, I use fire magic, and I like spicy foods," said Carmen. She then went back to her seat.

Next was the boy with the ripped jeans and gray hoodie known as Raiden, who just so happened to be the only one out of uniform. Almost like he didn't get the memo that he had to wear it on his first day of school. He reached the front and faced the other students. "My name is Raiden Murasame, I use lightning magic, and I don't really have anything that I like," said Raiden.

After him was the boy on the way back who avoided every other student and snuck his way to the class. He sighed as he stood up and looked at everyone else as he made his way to the front. "My name is Karma Surado I have shadow magic, and I like to be alone" said Karma rather monotone.

Following up behind him was the boy that sat next to the girl with messy hair. He walked down to the front of the class as Karma went back to his seat. He stood before everyone and took a deep breath. "My name is Akaze, I use wind magic, and I like quiet spaces to read," said Akaze.

Last but not least was the girl with the messy hair she walked to the front while Akaze gawked at her. She didn't pay much attention and stood before everyone her anxiety kicked in as she started fidgeting. "M-my name is L-Lotus Ichinose, I use beast magic, and I like having my hair played with" she said shyly as a Tiger tail, and ears made themselves present. Lotus then made her way back to her seat.

"We have exactly 30 minutes before the opening ceremony, so in the meantime I'd like for you all to get to know each other with this icebreaker...find someone you think is interesting and ask the provided questions" said Mrs. Yuki as she made her way to each of the students handing them a paper with questions on it.

"When is the opening ceremony!?!!" Carmen groaned.

"Right now" Mrs. Yuki turned to the other students "alrighty students start heading towards the gymnasium" she said.

"finally!" said Akaze with a smile on his face as he stood up.

Carmen stood up and flipped her hair in the process as she went to the door with the others.

Karma stood up and went to the door as everyone else had walked out of the room in a big group. The school itself was huge; there were five buildings connected by a large bridge between the four. On the first floor at the bottom there was a court yard which was closed off by the administration building. The first building was called the 'freshmen' building as all the freshmen would gather there, the second building was the sophomore building, the third building was the junior building, the fourth building was the senior building, and the last building was the dormitory section. The campus was like that of a typical university, it had its market district, a food district, and an entertainment district. The gym was on the opposite side of the dorms getting its own separate area; to the left was a sandbox like area that has a net for volleyball and on the right side of the gym was a training area for class vs class sparring matches. The center was the gym which looked more like an arena for tournament style one on one battles.

There was a podium at the very front on top of a stage, inside the gym there were several other classes. The principal was busy and attending to other matters on the campus which involved the seniors as they set up the campus tour. Every other class that was there had their eyes on Mrs. Yuki's class which were the last ones to arrive.

"Ah Class 2-C how nice of you to finally join us. Now we can finally start the opening ceremony" The vice principal then cleared his throat and looked at all the classes. "Welcome to Rose Academy I look around the room, and I see a lot of potential with the exception of the student out of his uniform" he said singling out Raiden.

"jeez a guy forgets his uniform by accident one time and he suddenly becomes a target" Raiden said.

The vice principal carried on with the rest of the opening ceremony going over the dress code, rules and violations of breaking those rules. Once the ceremony was over the classes were all sent back to their respective buildings, and rooms.

I will show you father! Carmen thought to herself

On the way out of the ceremony one of the members of class 2-C had went off on his own. Raiden was currently at a vending machine that had taken his dollar and his snack had gotten stuck. The snack of choice that had gotten stuck was a kit kat bar. While shoulder charging the entire machine to get the candy bar to drop which you shouldn't be doing anyway.

A group of upper class men had spotted Raiden alone the first among the group of students was an explosion magic user. The second of the group was an earth magic user, and the third was a metal magic user which was another type of earth element. Raiden groaned as the kit kat wouldn't budge "why the ****...!" Raiden thought out loud with a growl. "I just want the candy ... please!"  Raiden slides down the machine hanging his head down his hair slightly  covering  his face.  Raiden then stuck his hand into the machine trying to reach up and grab the candy bar. "well, well, well what do we have here?" asked the leader.

"It seems like we have stray little freshmen," said the second.

Raiden looked at the group of upper class men walking in his direction putting his hands up slightly "woah there fellas I don't want no trouble I just want to get my candy bar and head off to my class" Raiden said.

"oh really? and what exactly will happen if we give you trouble" asked the third member of the group.

"yeah, what's a freshman going to do?" asked the first.

Raiden sighed already knowing that it's not going to end in a small conversation of him politely asking them to leave him be. so much for laying low... Raiden thought.

Back with Class 2-C

Mrs. Yuki walked into the classroom with class 2-C right behind her and as all the students shuffled in she did a head count. "we're missing someone !" she  groaned "its not even my first day as a teacher and I already lost a kid" said Mrs. Yuki

"We're missing the one that was out of uniform" said Lotus.

"That dumbass didn't even show up in his uniform so it makes sense that a moron like him would get lost" said Carmen who could care less about Raiden.

"True, but that dumbass is a part of our class," said Riku.

"We never know, perhaps he didn't receive his uniform," said Akaze trying to lighten the situation.

"Let me guess you're all gonna say we should go looking for him? What if the guy just wants to be alone" said Karma.

"That could be a possibility but we do need to find him he is apart of our class" said Mrs. Yuki

Back with Raiden

Raiden slammed one into the vending machine causing the candy bar he paid for to finally drop the kit kat. Raiden was then thrown back due to the power of the explosion that the leader of the group had possessed. The second then made a wall appear up from the ground causing Raiden to hit it and lose his air. The third then covered his body in metal like armor, and as Raiden was gasping for breath struck him down. Raiden coughed slightly as he managed to get to his feet he was still out of breath and rather shaky. He took a stance as he then rushed the armored one doing a flip over him and pelting him with lightning bolts. The second member made vines come up from under Raiden. Raiden was suddenly behind the second member which he then kicked into the leader.

"Raiden  Murasame!" shouted Mrs. Yuki as she made Raiden stop moving allowing the other students to get away.

"God damn it! you let them get away!" Raiden shouted at Mrs. Yuki.

"it hasn't even been the official start and you're already picking fights" said Lotus.

"probably felt the need to prove he was strong" Carmen snickered "what a dumbass" she said.

Mrs. Yuki had let Raiden go as he fell to the ground coughing again due to the fact that he still hadn't fully recovered. "care to explain yourself?" Mrs. Yuki asked.

"I was getting a candy bar from the vending machine when those three showed up," said Raiden.

"Okay, but that doesn't tell us what happened," said Mrs. Yuki.

"I couldn't get the candy bar and they came over here looking for trouble...I told them simply that I didn't want any kind of problems and to leave me alone" said Raiden.

"Or did your neanderthal instincts take over and you had to prove your strength" said Carmen with sarcasm.

"Shut up you don't even know me" said Raiden

"I don't have to know you to understand that all people like you care about are proving your strength" said Carmen sending a fireball at Raiden's face. Raiden didn't guard, just took the hit and growled sending a lightning bolt at Carmen's feet.

"Hey you two knock it off, now lets all go back to the classroom and see what Mrs. Yuki has next before the school day ends" said Riku.

"fine" said Carmen and Raiden at the same time.

"we won't be going to the classroom, we'll be going to the training fields so we can know what each of your magic types are" said Mrs. Yuki

"what? really?" asked Lotus in disbelief.

"That's a waste of time," said Karma looking disinterested in the situation.

"I think that will be fun!" said Akaze with optimism.

Class 2-C all walked to the field so that they could begin evaluation on their magic types. The class all stood and watched as Mrs. Yuki took the stage. Mrs. Yuki took a deep breath and made rocks form from the ground. They looked like half the size of a planetary devastation rock ball, and then sent them back into the ground as if nothing happened. Yuki's magic was Gravity, she could control how strong the gravitational pull an object has. After Mrs.  Yuki had displayed her magic one of the students followed up after her, and that student just so happened to be Riku Yuki.

Riku had a symbol appear under him, half was light with a blade in his hand, and the other half was dark with blades appearing above him. The two sides disappeared, and merged  together causing Riku's hair to turn white with horns on his forehead while a tufted tail, canine like teeth, and a set of black feathery wings appeared.

"So you control both light and dark? interesting I haven't met a dual elemental before" said Mrs.  Yuki with somewhat believable acting.

Akaze grinned at Riku's magic.

"Please, it's not that impressive," said Carmen.

"Don't you know? Dual elements are the rarest types in magic...our body's core can only handle one element, if we try to master more than one it's possible we'll get corruption" said Raiden.

"It's a rare feet, that Riku has complete control over the most unstable elements on earth, Light and Dark are very untameable and highly volatile magics" said Mrs.  Yuki

"Tch whatever" Carmen flipped her hair.

Karma narrowed his eyes at Riku.

Akaze clapped.

After Riku was Akaze as he walked in front of the other students, and took a deep breath in. He put his hands together and the wind around him began to blow fiercely. It wasn't very impressive of what his magic was, but still was enough to reveal what it was.

Once Akaze had gone back to the line of students, Lotus was up next as she stood there before everybody else. Lotus activated her magic, and her eyes changed from brown to yellow. She grew sharp claws as well as canines. Atop her head she grew Tiger ears, and her tiger tail unwrapped from around her waist.

"interesting" Karma said as he examined her.

"Whoa you're like a tiger!" Carmen said.

"Oooo!" Akaze smiled.

Carmen walked up after Lotus "I know you'll all be impressed." She smirked confidently while flipping her hair. She stood before the other student, and created a large ball of fire like the size of Escanor's cruel sun. She then sent that fireball into the air, and made a finger gun with a small flame coming out. "Boom." She smirked. The fireball exploded creating a massive explosion in the sky. The explosion caused some birds to fall from the sky.

Raiden panicked as the birds fell and used his lightning to catch as many as possible and set them down safely. Riku gulped, and made a mental note to never piss Carmen off.

"Oh my god that was so cool!!!" Lotus shouted.

"Very impressive Carmen..." said Mrs.  Yuki as she wrote down Carmen's magic type. Mrs.  Yuki aslo made  a side note calling Carmen a Crowd pleaser. " you remind me of a friend of mine" said Mrs.  Yuki.

"Told ya I'm impressive" said Carmen triumphantly.

"You could have waited until the birds had left to do something that dangerous!" Raiden shouted.

"They're just birds! There are plenty of them anyway!" Carmen replied.

"Oh yeah well there are a plethora of fire mages, so yo and the birds share something in common" Said Raiden.

"Oh wow" said Akaze

Karma just shrugged.

"Karma your up!" said Mrs.  Yuki.

"I'll pass, my magic is shadow my word should be enough" Karma replied.

Mrs.  Yuki sighed then wrote down Karma's magic type.

"Raiden you're up!" Said Mrs.  Yuki

Raiden walked in front of the others and stood pretty far out. He closed his eyes as clouds began to form in the skies enveloping the now bright sky into nothing but gray. Lightning struck the ground like pillars, and a dragon made of lightning appeared. Raiden along with the dragon came crashing down and hit the ground. "Now that's how you please a crowd" Raiden said looking at Carmen.

"I don't know which was cooler, Carmen or Raiden!" Lotus shouted.

Riku nervously rubbed the back of his neck. Lotus was in awe at how Raiden out did Carmen on her performance. Carmen gritted her teeth at how Raiden was out shining her.

"Hey are you okay?" Akaze asked Carmen.

"So you're challenging me are you!?" said Carmen

"Maybe I am, maybe I'm not who knows" said Raiden with a smirk.

"Can we just go inside now?" Karma groaned.

"Dumbass," Carmen said, leading the way inside as the rest of class 2-C went back to the classroom. Mrs.  Yuki followed the class making sure she had every student, after all she is a teacher and these trainees are under her supervision.

Class 2-C walked into the classroom with Carmen leading the group of students. Everyone took their designated seats as normal while waiting for Mrs.  Yuki's instructions. Then there was a knock on the door, but before anybody answered it burst open. A tall man with a muscular build stood in the doorway. He looked very upset for some reason. "Oh, uh hello, and who are you?" Mrs.  Yuki asked.

"I thought you of all people would recognize me, Mrs.  Yuki. I am the principal, you know your boss" said the Principle.

"Oh! Forgive me sir today has been rather stressful with a recent turn of events" said Mrs.  Yuki

"It's fine. No worries" the principle looked around the room "I can already tell this class is going to be a headache...nevertheless I am here to assign dorm rooms. They're on the west wing of the school. The roommates will be: Akaze and Karma, Riku and Raiden, lastly Lotus and Carmen" said the Principle.

"Sir we'll try our best to be less of a headache" Riku said respectfully.

"Yeah we'll try our best to get along" said Lotus giving a big grin with a thumbs up.

"That goes for me as well I'll try to keep them all in live" said Mrs.  Yuki with a smile.

"I trust that you will all keep your word. Very well. That is all I have high expectations for this class" said the Principle with a light smile on his face as he headed towards the door.

"Kiss ***" Carmen said as the Principle was out of the room.

"your more annoying than a fly but even that knows when to buzz off" Riku said.

This caused Mrs. Yuki to glare daggers at Riku and Carmen which didn't really faze either of them. Instead Carmen and Riku just stared each other down, and most of the other students in the room could feel the tension in the air.

"are we going to fight or what?" asked Carmen.

"Do we even have time for sparring?" asked Akaze.

"we have one hour left before the bell rings," said Riku.

"How about we put it to a class vote" Mrs. Yuki then turned to the other students in the room "all those in favor of sparring today say I" said Mrs. Yuki.

"I" Said Akaze.

"I"  Said Carmen.

"I" said Riku.

"I" said Lotus.

"I" said Raiden

Karma stayed quiet not wanting any kind of participation with the sparring match. Once he realized he was out voted he sighed **** my life... Karma thought. Mrs. Yuki had a mischievous smirk on her face as she looked at Karma.

"Looks like we're sparring today, go on and get ready students" said Mrs. Yuki.

Lotus, Raiden, Carmen, Riku, and Akaze went to their lockers changing from their school uniforms into their combat outfits. The first of the group out was Lotus, she wore a bodysuit with tiger patterns with a hole in the back allowing her tiger tail to stick out.

Raiden wore a white hoodie with black crows on it, and on the back was a crow with its wings open sending a volley of feathery spears at whoever looked at it; his pants were standard combat pants, and black high-top shoes.

Carmen wore a black skin tight suit with a fire decal that stretched from her chest to her legs. Carmen was the first and maybe only student  to stretch, and lumber up among her classmates.

Riku came out wearing a gray long sleeve t-shirt with a white and black dragon doing a Yin-Yang symbol, he wore sweatpants, and low top shoes.

Akaze came out in a white tank top and blue shorts. Unlike the other students, Karma was the only one that didn't change clothes. Instead stayed in his school uniform with his hands in his pockets as he watched his peers.

"So, who's fighting first?" asked Akaze.

"The first fight will be Akaze against Karma, next will be Riku vs Lotus, and Raiden vs Carmen" said Mrs. Yuki looking at her clipboard.

"I forfeit," said Karma without a hint of care in his tone of voice.

"H-huh?...That's a cruddy way to win," Akaze said, disappointed.

"What's the issue, disappointed you won't get to show off for the Tiger?" asked Karma.

"W-what? pfft n-nah I just wanted to see who our class strongest would be" said Akaze with a small hue on his face from Karma's question.

"Either way I don't care about fighting I didn't come to this school to do so" Karma huffed.

"Tch..." Carmen clicked her tongue.

"Well it's important that you learn some combat, so when the time comes and a corrupted mage tries to kill you, you will at least have a fighting chance" said Mrs. Yuki

Raiden simply rolled his eyes at Carmen's attitude; it was almost as if the two couldn't possibly stand each other. Carmen didn't pay any mind to Raiden and just kept stretching.

"I'm aware. I know how to fight just fine" said Karma standing on the sideline.

Carmen, Akaze, and Raiden watched the two closely.

Riku, and Lotus stood across from each other taking a fighting stance. Riku had his hands at his sides as he got low like Naruto when he entered six paths sage mode against Sasuke. Lotus on the other hand had taken a stance similar to Grimmjow from Bleach. The two ran at each other taking off at high speeds. Lotus did a flip over Riku attempting to strike his back on the way down, but Riku expected this rolled forward as she came down.

"Oh boy..." Akaze said.

Lotus's attacks were fierce, and fast; upon landing  she immediately charged towards Riku going for a right hook. Riku predicted this attack and spun, grabbing her arm and flipping her over like Deku did to Bakugou during their training exercise. Riku then backed off and created swords made of Darkness, sending them right at Lotus. Lotus dodged the swords that were sent  at her is this how Dante feels when he fights Vergil? Iruma thought to herself. One of the swords had hit her arm cutting her but not too deep. Riku put his hands out in front of him "Flash Bang!" said Riku as a flash of blinding light appeared. Lotus quickly closed her eyes, but within that split second Riku had rushed her.

Lotus opened her eyes only to see Riku was right in front of her, and thanks to her beast magic giving her enhanced reflexes. Lotus ducked under the attack and countered by giving Riku an uppercut. Riku went with the uppercut doing a back flip to put some distance between them. He then coated his arm in Darkness and came down creating a crater where Lotus once stood. Once the dust had settled and Riku noticed she was missing from where she stood. Lotus appeared behind Riku and was about to strike, but felt something restraining her.

"What the hell?!?!" Lotus shouted.

"I took into account you would move before I could land the final blow, and creep up behind me to get the attack" said Riku.

"I'm so screwed..." said Akaze with a groan.

"I see..." Carmen said.

"Alright...well you win" said Lotus as Riku let her go. The two then went back to the others as Carmen and Raiden stood across from each other. The intensity was in the air and could be felt by everybody.

"Best of luck fire cracker" said Raiden with his hands in his pockets.

"Best of luck, Lightning bolt" said Carmen as she was a bit shocked that her opponent was wishing her luck.

Raiden took a stance while taking in a deep breath not one of nervousness, but rather one of excitement. He had to steel his nerves not let his opponent know what he was thinking or doing for each move. When it came to combat Raiden thought of it like a simple game of chess, and the one with the best strategy came out on top.

Carmen took a stance with a deadly look in her eye as if she enjoyed the thrill of the fight, or toying with her prey. Although Carmen was of a higher class than the other students there was something about her that made the high class demeanor almost questionable. Sure her attitude and character gave off that of a higher class. Her combat demeanor was more barbaric, and has the ferocity of a honey badger.

"Begin!" Said Mrs. Yuki.

Raiden was the first to make his move making a bow of lightning and firing the arrow that formed within it. He released the electrical arrow and made it split into  three smaller arrows creating a volley. Carmen countered the arrows by bursting into flames then sending out three fireballs to counter the lightning arrows. She's using offense as a defense...Raiden thought to himself and quickly began forming a plan. Carmen created a large fireball and shot it at Raiden, but Raiden was quick as the fireball had struck where he stood forming a dust cloud. Carmen rushed to Raiden's direction while still being covered in fire.

Once the dust cleared Raiden stood where Carmen had stood at the start of the beginning of the match. He didn't attack Carmen instead he just examined her while calculating his next move. I can't strike if she has her flame guard up, Raiden thought. Carmen clicked her tongue and snapped her fingers making her flame guard go out, but that wasn't the only thing she did. She snapped her fingers and sent a fire bolt at Raiden. As the fire bolt came hurling at Raiden, but instead of running from the attack instead he charged at it and jumped over the firebolt.

Carmen saw an opportunity and smirked, sending a large fireball in Raiden's direction. This caused Raiden to smile as if he were expecting her to perform that attack. Don't get so cocky so quickly Raiden thought as he like lightning disappeared then reappeared beside Carmen. Raiden made a stuff of lightning and swung at her side. All that was heard from Carmen was a gasp as she took the hit from the attack. She slid back a few feet from him but kept herself composed. "Tch...that's all you got?" Carmen asked.

"You're too tense...you need to relax yourself, let your body react on its own" said Raiden.

Carmen rolled her eyes and lit herself on fire charging at Raiden, and as Carmen did so Raiden knelt down and touched the ground. The  ground that surrounded Raiden had made an electrical field, and anyone that stepped or came around would be electrocuted. This caused Carmen to send a barrage of fire balls at Raiden to make him stop touching the ground. Raiden dodged a majority of the fireballs, but was caught off guard by the last one that hit him. This in turn caused Carmen to grind her teeth and send more towards the lightning boy. Raiden looked at the amount of fireballs coming in his general direction, but instead of running from the fire that was coming his way he decided to charge at them.

Raiden charged directly at Carmen with little to no care for his own safety. Carmen sent more fireballs at Raiden hoping to slow or at least make him back off, but instead he kept charging directly at her. Carmen exploded with fire and it began to spew from her body. This caused Raiden to stop in his tracks and analyze the current situation. While he did this Carmen ran directly at Raiden, but he quickly caught on to her plan. This caused him to make a barrier of lightning to put a bit of distance so he could form a proper plan of attack. Unfortunately that's not how that was gonna go down instead Carmen did something Raiden hadn't predicted. Carmen jumped through the barrier of lightning and struck Raiden thus sending him back a few feet away. The lightning did do some damage, but not anything to her body. Rather her clothes had small tears and a few holes in them after jumping through the barrier.

After her initial attack Carmen, followed up by sending another fireball at Raiden this one was much larger than any of the other previous fireballs she launched at him before. The fireball caused Raiden to sigh while he made a lightning bolt about the same size as the fireball that was coming directly at him. The two projectile's clashed, but emerging from that clash was Carmen, her fist was covered in fire as she tried to hit Raiden. Raiden used his lightning to heighten his reflexes, once she attempted to punch him he stepped back, grabbed her wrist and attempted to throw her on her back. Carmen swung around and swung her leg to kick Raiden in the face, however Raiden leaned back narrowly avoiding the kick. Though he could feel the heat from the fire around her foot causing him to sweat a little bit.

Carmen was free of Raiden's grasp so she jumped back and took a fighting stance.

"what's the matter? realized you used too much mana? Or are you just looking for another opening to take another strike?" Raiden questioned her.

"And you aren't using mana up either?" Carmen asked, rolling her eyes at his statement.

"Not really, see I haven't been using all magic based attacks since this fight began..." Raiden placed his hands in his pockets "However, you've sent 2 fire ball barrages, and attempted to strike me by coating your hands in fire as well as your feet for kick based attacks as well as coat yourself in fire for more attacks" Raiden smirked as he tallied up her attacks "Unless you have a rather hefty mana pool, but you already knew that...your becoming sluggish in your movements" said Raiden.

"So that's what you think?" Carmen laughed.

"You're fighting to kill, but hesitate is what I think," said Raiden as he shrugged.

"I'm not trying to kill you, dumbass. You really think I would throw all my power at you right off the bat?" asked Carmen.

"If you don't come to a fight with the intention to kill then you've already lost" said Raiden.

"The teacher literally said 'don't kill each other' are you brain dead or something?" said Carmen.

"Yeah I heard what she said, but having the intention to kill and actually killing are two separate things...if you don't fight like your life depends on it then you're already dead" said Raiden.

"You're only half right...I have knowledge but the dumbass part falls on you" said Raiden as a lightning bolt came down on Carmen's position leaving her with either take the hit or hopefully move out of its range.

Carmen let out a gasp as she tried to move but was hit by the lightning bolt.

"You're an exceptional fighter, but lack the judgement, and show off too much" said Raiden as the lightning stunned her while he walked over to her and put his hand out.

Mrs. Yuki gasped, not expecting the fight to end the way that it did. Carmen clicked her tongue and reluctantly took his head standing up.

"good fight or whatever" Carmen waved her hand and walked off.

"Alright class it's time for lunch, go get changed back into your uniforms and head to the cafeteria' said Mrs. Yuki.
