I went downstairs to drink water because I was thirsty.

"Where have you been?" I heard mama ask the person who had just entered and I knew it was Daddy, so I stopped walking.

"You don't care!" Dad said angrily.

"Oh my gosh Gabriel! Is it always like this? Are you going home drunk?" It was obvious from mama's words that she was just holding back her voice.

"How many times do I have to tell you never to interfere with me ?!" Daddy dropped his bag on the sofa and faced mama.

I just watched the two of them while fighting from the dark side of the stairs. And as time went on their voices got louder.

I saw the door of Yayeng Elda and Ate Susan's room open a little, I saw them peeking at mama and daddy who were fighting again.

I just felt that my cheek was wet, now the tears that I had been holding back came out.

I looked at Yayeng who was now worried looking at me. But I immediately turned in the direction of mama when I heard a loud slap that I knew came from papa.

So I quickly ran back to the room. In the blanket I poured tears that came out of my eyes.

Dad wasn't like that before, our family used to have a lot of fun, there was no fight going on, dad didn't drink too much.It started when our eldest sister Glydel graduated from college and immediately joined the man she just met, she has a boyfriend and is very kind, I don't know why she did that she also didn't let us know, we didn't either saw or known the man.

Why is that the effect on Dad? Well because of the three of us siblings, he is Dad's favorite. He doesn't even admit it to us,my brother and I feel that way. It's been two years since that happened but Dad is still what he is looking for and thinking about.

I stopped crying when my cellphone rang. I picked it up on the drawer near my bed.I immediately answered the call without looking at who it was.

"Hello?" I wiped my tears.

"Gabby? Are you still awake?" He replied, the older brother.

"I've been reviewing so ---"

"Are you crying?" He interrupted what I said. The concern was obvious in his voice.

I didn't speak and bit my lower lip so I wouldn't sob

"Hello? Gab? Are you still there? Gab?"

"W-why did you call?" I close my eyes tightly as I bend over at the last word.

"Because Andrei should be the one I call, your name is the one I clicked on." I heard her sigh on the other line. "Now tell me, why are you crying? Don't lie to me Gabby."

"Because, Da-dad came home drunk again he hurt Mommy again. I'm scared of Dad maybe next time ---"

"Gab can you please stop that bad mindset of yours? Just be careful always especially and I'm not there next to you and Mommy. Just wait for Dad first okay?" I nodded even though I knew he could not see. "Did you hear me?"

"Ye-yes."

"Stop crying because I also get discouraged every time you cry. All right, go to sleep, you still have work tomorrow. Sleep well."

I put down the cellphone and went to bed again. I also feel a little relieved. Thanks to him ,, mama and I are the only ones who encourage me.

I also lay in bed for a long time and I was not even called drowsy.

I thought about going down again. Good to see that no one was here and the light was off. I went straight to the kitchen and brewed coffee. After that I went back to my room and sat down directly on the study table and resumed my review. which was cut earlier.

I looked at the clock, and it's already 4:31 AM.Damn Gabby.

I woke up to the sound of the alarm sign that it was five o'clock in the morning.

My headache. I forced myself to stand up even though I felt like I was going to fall down and put away my belongings scattered on the table. I first adjusted my uniform and put it on the bed before entering the bathroom.

It's Friday! I won't be late! I quickly rinsed myself.

I look straight at the wall clock when I come out of the bathroom.5: 27 ?!

I was at the end of the stairs and looked in the kitchen I saw Mommy eating alone. It was not new to me because Daddy always left early.

"Oh Gabby! Come here! Come with me to eat sweetie, your Yayeng cooked your favorite pork sisig."

I walked to the kitchen and sat in my seat next to Mommy. I looked up at Daddy's seat with the food reduced, as it always has been.

"You Yayeng? Have you eaten yet?" He shook his head. "Eh, you can eat now."

"It's okay, you go first."

I just nodded and was about to get some rice when I heard Daddy's voice.

"Oh okay, I'll just eat first and then I'll go straight there. Okay. Bye." He put down his cellphone and sat down.

"Ahm, mom. I'm leaving, because I shouldn't be late." I got up.

"Eat first sweetie, it's bad to skip breakfast." Mommy held my hand.

"No Mom, we have P.E now so I'm leaving. Dad, I'm leaving." I kissed Mommy's cheek before walking away.

"Eat first, you might faint in your P.E."

I stopped walking and did not look back. This is the first time he invited me to eat after 2 years. Why is that? When he acted like nothing had happened before.

"Sweetie." I came back to reality when Mommy called me. "Come."

I went back to the chair and got some food. I wanted to cry, I don't know why.

This is the first time we ate breakfast together. We also did not spend time with my brother because he was in another place to study there. It was so fun to feel that we ate together again.

"Come with me, I'll take you to your school. Then just pick up your driver later. Okay?" Dad said. I nodded.

That's enough for me and at least he can take me again,I really miss the way he brought and picked me up at school.

"The attention seeker is here." Alexa said as I entered the classroom.

I just ignored her and just sat down.She was always like that to me, she bullied me,sometimes she even tweaked me.But I just let her,because I don't want trouble.

"Oh Ms.AS is here." Fred said he is also one of the most bullied in this school.

Alexa started to call me that so the others also followed. Why do they call me an attention seeker? Because I am the leader in academics, the teachers always see me when there are activities. I don't like all of that.

"Just let them Gabby they are just jealous of you." Hannah whispered. She was my only friend here. I just nodded at her and we walked straight to our seat.

Just a few minutes passed and our P.E teacher arrived.

"Okay,you can change your P.E uniform now." Ma'am said.

We all stood up to leave the room.

"Ms. Ferrer. Just bring it to the office and get dressed there, take Ms.Fuentebella with you." Hannah and I nodded and took the folders and envelopes from her table. "Everyone, after you get dressed,go straight to the gym, I'll wait there."

"Yes ma'am." Everyone said.

Ma'am came out first and the others followed. Alexa stopped in front of us and looked at me from head to toe.

"Tsk. You really are an attention seeker." She said before walking.

Hannah was about to kick her but I pulled her hand.

"You told me to just let it go?" I asked.

"She's overdoing it." I just smiled and walked over to her first. "You know what?If only you hadn't really stopped me. Her face would be useless."

"You know what?If I didn't stop you, you'll be having a record in guidance."

"Hmp."

I just laughed at her attitude. We went to the locker first to get our P.E uniform. The rest of my classmates were looking at me badly but I just ignored them and just invited Hannah to leave.

"Good morning teachers." Hannah and I greeted each other when we arrived at the teachers office.

"Good morning too." They also greeted us.

Hannah and I put on the table what ma'am had sent us. We also got dressed in the bathroom here.

"We're leaving ma'am and sir. Thank you." They just nodded.

"Wait, Ms. Ferrer and Fuentebella." We stopped walking when Sir Tolentino called us. "I might get sick later. So, after your P.E. go straight here and get the test papers here, you also have to distribute to your classmates."

"Copy sir." Hannah said.

"All right sir." I said.

We finally left the teachers office and went to the gym. We warmed up first before starting the archery activity. We were divided into 4 groups. And I was in group 3 together with Alexa. Hannah was in group 1.

She hurriedly walked towards her group. The rest of my group was happy because I became their ally. Actually, they are just happy to be with me if they just need something or should I say that they only know me if they just need me.

Our activity is over and my group is the winner. We are here now in the canteen, we are all hungry.

"Group 3 is really expected to win." I heard a classmate say that.

"Thanks to Gabby, because of her we won." A man in my group said.

"Just say, she just wants everyone's attention only for her." Alexa said.

"Hey you! "Hannah took the fork she was using and pointed it at Alexandra." Why don't you just accept the fact that Gabby is really better than you ---- that no matter what you do you can't beat her! "She shouted and angrily dropped the fork on the table.

I just swallowed my saliva when I saw the veins in her hand. It was a sign that she was angry. What I was afraid was that she might really beat Alexa.If I'm training in taekwondo, Hannah is karate.

"I can beat her if she's not really an attention seeker!" This time Alexa also stood up.

Hannah approached her with burning eyes.

"Why are you going to fight with me?" Alexa said with a raised eyebrow.

"And why not? You'll go to the hospital when I slap you." Hannah said softly but obviously shivering.

"You do not yet know who you are fighting at Alexandra Montenegro, you do not yet know if who's Gabby Lavish Ferrer and Hannah Fuentebella are." She forcibly let go of Alexa and pulled me out of the canteen.

"I'll report you to the guidance!" Alexa shouted.

"I'm not scared because my mouth is useful!" Hannah also shouted without looking back.

I let out a deep sigh when we got out of the canteen. I looked at Hannah badly and she was also looking at me.

"Are you really crazy, do you want to have a guidance record?"

"Why are you scared?" He asked with a laugh. He even got to really laugh. "Don't worry, I won't take you."

"I know but that grasshopper I'm sure ---"

"And do you think I will let her? She will be the one to have a record on guidance when I say all the sins she committed."

"It's up to you." I said and walked ahead of her.

The class is over today and Hannah and I are laughing now while walking down the hallway here at school. What funny things she's telling.

We stopped laughing when we heard what other students were talking about. Graduation.

"So, where are you going to study in college?" She broke the silence.

"I don't know Hannah, a lot of things are bothering my mind. You?"

"Maybe, I will accept Dad's offer to study in Japan. He said I will start my career there as well."

I was silent after what she said. Not just because she will be leaving but because his father supported her in whatever he wanted.

Because Dad wants me to be a Doctor, just like my older brother because we will manage the Hospitals he owns. Yes, my father is a Doctor. He is a famous Doctor. But I don't want what he wants for me, not because I am afraid in the blood.

Because a person's life depends on you when you become a Doctor, I don't want that.

"Hey! Gabby are you okay?" Hannah woke me up. "I've been talking here here, then you're not listening.What's the problem?"

"It's only 3 weeks before graduation, right?" She nodded.

"Why?"

"I doubt if I will follow Dad's wishes or my wishes." We both looked at each other.

"It's simple Gab. Just choose where you are happy and what do you want."

I just nodded. She was right.
