Ugh first day of school after the winter break I so don't wanna go back. But I have to... to follow my dreams of becoming a teacher. So I get up and head to the bathroom to start getting ready for school. I wore a new outfit I bought quite recently. I think I look pretty good.

After I head back to my bed, I get a text message from my bestie Irene

IRENE: YOO you ready to see my fat face?

ME: more than honored. You ready for school? Can't wait to see u.

IRENE: No I haven't done my homework yet ToT

ME: As expected. Is Noah coming?

(Noah is Irene's boyfriend. They've been dating for a year now. Weird relationship if you ask me. They keep going on and off. Kinda surprised they lasted a year)

IRENE: Nah he is still Tokyo. Prolly will return in a few days. How about Mark? You've kept in contact with him after THAT day?

ME: *sighs* No I don't want to look desperate

IRENE: Cheer up hon. Plenty of fishes in the sea. Remember I'm taking you to that new bar near school. And hookin' you up with some hot guys *smirk emoji*

I threw my phone on the bed and headed downstairs for breakfast. I called out for mom and dad but soon I realized that they had been spending over time in their jobs since the past month. Probably some official works I think.

I see their office door unlocked and see the computer monitor still on. I go inside to turn it off only to discover something that made my heart drop. It was an email:

I fell to the ground unable to process what really was happening. Soon enough I passed out.

*3 hours later*

I regained consciousness only to find myself looking at my room's ceiling fan. I happened to be laying in my bed. I looked to the side of my bed and saw my parents.

They looked guilty they couldn't even look me in the eye. I felt bad seeing them like this for the first time. I held their hands as a sign of comfort. They started sobbing. Then they told me how they had failed to carry out an important mission and resulted in an information being leaked to the opposing gang. So they were being punished for that.

"It's fine I can marry into that household if it means you guys being free. It won't be that bad right? It's just an arranged marriage" I tried to put on a happy face & assured them.

They hugged me and started apologizing for everything.
