"Ahhh...It's morning again and I don't want to go to office". Anna got up from her bed with messy hair struggling to stand still. Before she could realize where she is heading to, heard a loud voice coming from the kitchen. "Anna Xi, you better be ready before I step in your room". These words were from her best friend and roommate Susan, who have lived with her from five years after their graduation.

Susan and Anna met each other five years ago in a blood donation camp and have lived together since. Anna takes her as elder sister. Susan is the only family she has after losing her parents in an accident.

Anna realized that she is late again and rushed to the bathroom. With no surprise, Susan was standing in the middle of the room holding a pair of office dress and matching accessories for her. Anna took the things from her and gave a thankful kiss to her bestie.

"You better have your breakfast before leaving". Susan screamed again.

I am running late today, can I please miss the breakfast. Anna replied in low voice.

Don't worry, I will leave you to the office. But promise me you will get up early from tomorrow. Listening to this Anna nodded making sure not to make Susan angry again. There was a laugh coming on Anna face after thinking that it's weekend tomorrow but held it back to avoid conflict with Susan.

"How much time is left"? Susan asked Anna while starting the car.

I am never gonna be late until you are next to me darling. Anna replied while putting her seat belt.

"Anna you can't get late today as we need to go shopping for my birthday." Susan reminded Anna while she gets out of her car.

Anna hurriedly walks inside the large building. She was searching for her ID card inside her purse and walking without watching her steps.

"Anna you again left your ID in the car." Susan screamed running towards Anna and holds her before she could bang the wall.

"You are my life saver." Anna hugged Susan and walks inside the lift.

Anna walks on the floor and settles on her seat. Was still trying to catch a breathe when heard a knock on her desk.

"Good Morning Director", Anna stood up hurriedly and bowed to the Director of the company Mr. Xi Chen.

"Anna meet me in my cabin, I have to discuss something very urgent with you". She walks behind Mr. Xi till the cabin and close the door.

Anna make herself comfortable on the seat and raises her head to see what Mr. Xi have to say.

Her heart was beating fast. So many thoughts were running on her mind. Was the last assignment not completed properly? Mrs. Xi was not satisfied with the parlour I booked yesterday? Has someone in my team missed the timeline?

"Oh no"...Anna shouted loudly in front of Director.

"Are you ok Anna" Director asked. I have called you here to tell you that you have to travel to Japan for the new assignment. We need one of our best resource to handle it and no one is as capable as you.

Anna gets shocked with Director's words. This was the first time she could crack on overseas contract. She couldn't believe that after so much of hard work she is getting paid finally.

"Thank you so much Sir. I will not let you down." Anna replied exciting.

Director handed over a file to Anna while speaking to her "He is the person you need to work with. Make sure you don't make him angry. He maintains a very low profile and is very strict"

Anna nodded her head while going through the file. Mr. Xian Xu, CEO of Xian Group company. Educated from Oxford University. Youngest CEO award winner.

"Quite Interesting", Anna mumbles while going through the profile. She gets pulled back to the reality by Director's words.

"Anna, you need to travel in another two days. We have made all the arrangements, make sure you carry your relevant stuff.

She nods and thanks her Director for the opportunity once again. She walks out of his cabin with Xian profile in hand to study it further in her free time. Although she was quite disappointed to not to find any photo in the file of Mr. Xian.

To end her curiosity she immediately starts searching for Mr. Xian profile on net, hoping to find any glance of him, but settles with disappointment again. "No photo, not a single one as well. How can one be so secretive?" Anna speaks to herself while arranging the other documents.

Five O'clock.

Anna was still stuck with her work, sitting in a corner with earphones plugged from her laptop. Her fingers were continuously typing the new assignment agenda and details which she had to send before leaving for Japan. She was so involved in her work that forgot about the promise which she made with Susan in the morning.

Suddenly she felt vibration from her desk and realized few seconds later that it's her phone.

"But where is my phone", Anna started searching for her phone in her bag and then in the drawer. Her complete desk was a mess. All the files and papers gets shattered all over the desk. She hurriedly started looking up for her phone by piling up all the files and papers at a side. It took her whole five minutes to get a glimpse of her phone back. "Ahh...here you are..." Anna smiled grabbing her phone.

Before she could even check the miss calls, the phone rang again.

Anna picks it up without checking the caller details.

"Annaaa...do you have a death wish, you were suppose to meeting me at five o'clock. I am already at your building entrance and you are not yet here. You are not receiving your phone." Susan kept screaming at Anna without a break.

"I am sorry Su, will be down in a minute", Anna hangs up the call without giving Susan another second to speak.

Anna could make out with her voice that she will be fuming hot now and have to go down in another minute to avoid getting her office burnt down by Susan anger. She gathers all the relevant documents in her bag, grabs her laptop and rush to the elevator.

Anna could see Susan standing outside her car and checking her watch to count the minutes Anna was late. Anna slowly walks from the other side of the exit and settle herself inside the car without making sound.

"Lady, are you going to stand there for a longer time or gonna drive", Anna mocks Susan while adjusting her seat belt.

Susan gets into the car and knocks on Anna's head with her finger for been late.

"I am going to spare you today as we are going for my birthday shopping. You dare to repeat it again." Susan starts the car while still talking with Anna.

"Su, I have news for you, but promise me you will not scream at me", Anna places her words while adjusting her makeup.

Susan nods yes after listening to Anna's words. "Cool woman you have my words I will not scream." Shoot!

"Susan...you know what...I...I will not be able to make it for your birthday party this time as..."

Before Anna could complete her sentence, felt a huge jerk in her body making her bang her head on the dashboard. "Ouch....you gone insane"....Anna screams out rubbing her forehead hastily to avoid a bump on her forehead.

Susan was in complete shock with Anna's words. "Are you kidding me woman, what on earth could cause you to avoid my birthday. From the time we have met, we make sure both of our birthdays are being spend together. How dare you skip it this time. Lady I swear to God will kill you with my bare hands if the reason is not right. Start speaking NOW..." Susan was fuming in anger and was looking at Anna for her explanation like a hungry wolf waiting to attack its prey.

Anna avoided her words completely, she was still busy rubbing her forehead and wiping her lipstick marks from her cheeks which was due to the sudden brakes applied by Susan.

"ANNA XI, you wanna die now. Start speaking before I take out my seat belt and kill you. Susan screams again. But this time her voice was much louder to grab Anna's attention.

Alright Su...Ahh...Well... Anna takes a deep breath and starts explaining to Su about the oversea assignment which she had to take up and about the plan of travelling in another two days. She explains further how cannot avoid the visit due to all the arrangements been made by the company. After speaking for whole fifteen minutes. Anna relax and looks at Susan for her further response.

Susan gets excited for Anna as it was her dream which she has worked for a long and have come true, but gets dishearten at the same time to realize that will celebrate her birthday all alone.

There was a complete silence in the car after the talk. Anna was still waiting for Susan to speak up and was continuously looking at Susan face with thoughts wandering in her mind about how Su will react.

Susan breaks the silence and speaks after clearing her throat..."Well you know what, I can still plan my birthday with you". Susan speaks up with a smirk on her face.

Anna on other hand was quite confused after hearing those words. As she knew that Su's birthday was on next week and she will be in Japan by then. She replies to Su with complete confused face "Dear, your birthday is on next Wednesday and I am travelling on this coming Sunday. How on earth can we be together here?"

Susan laughs at Anna's confused face and replies calmly "Am I prohibited to visit Japan, I have a valid passport, still got time to book the tickets, have enough bank balance to roam around. And if

I am not wrong, my darling can share her hotel room with me?

Anna screams in excitement "Are you serious??? You Susan Ciao will be visiting me in Japan....Oh My God...It's gonna be super fun...I am so excited...."

Susan could see her little bunny jumping all around in the car seat due to excitement.

"Alright, hold on with your excitement. Let me call my Dad to arrange everything for my visit." Susan takes out her phone and starts dialing.

Ring ring...Ring ring...Ring ring....

**Other side on the phone, a man in his late 40's picks up the call and speak out in loud voice.

"You remember your Dad, little princess??? It's been a month you have called me up or meet me in person, you actually know who to frightened me. Is it because Daddy gave you enough freedom???"

Susan screams louder than the man's voice to cut him off..."Daddy your little princess is all grown up now. Can you please stop calling me that"

"You will remain my little princess until I am dead." The man on the other side replies with a laugh.

"OK, enough of teasing. I have something important for you to work for me" Susan speaks up in a serious tone scratching her head.
