"Class dismissed"

I heard the bell rang. I stood up and get ready to go home from school. An everyday cycle, nothing new just a normal tuesday.

But it suddenly changed. I met him he changed me he made me happy but this all changed when I asked him the question "Who are you?" I regret asking this 3 words. I wish I can turn back the time but it's too late.

I'm Layla Garoso common name right? Do you know that my surname (Goroso) means miserable and it really describes me. I'm 17 years old. I always think that I'm the loneliest person in our school but then I met Kiro Anodyne. A single word changed my life.

Episode 1

"Class dismissed"

I heard the bell rang. I stood up and get ready to go home from school. An everyday cycle, nothing new just a normal tuesday. It's 5:00 pm and here I am walking pass the long clear river, the sky is orange the river is so calm that it made me forget all my problems. Seeing the fishes swim freely made me think...

"What does it feel to be free?"

I didn't notice it's already 6:30 pm. I rushed at home well I don't feel like calling it a home because it doesn't feel like home it feels like a normal house.

When I'm in front of the door before opening it I sighed and once again I'm in this situation that I want to escape.

"B*itch where did you go? Why did you even came home?"

"Yeah I have a great day thank you for asking"

Mia, my adoptive mother. Even when I was a kid she don't like me, blame me for all the b***sh*t she's having. My real father and mother died at a car crash mg mother was pregnant of me when it happened.'why do my adoptive mother hate me?' because she's in love with my father but my father chose mother over her. I hate her but what can I do I can't leave her because I can't go anywhere else I'm just 17 but I just need 10 months to tolerate this life. When I become 18 I'll leave this little city and live my life to the fullest.

I woke up to the sound of Mia throwing her bottle of beer in my door.

"You little piece of shit if you just died I will never be like this!"

I ignored her and I get ready for school,leave the house and walk from home to the school.

Sat at my chair and waited for the teacher to come.

"You have a new classmate. Please welcome him. Come in"

Then a guy popped out of the door and started introducing.

"Hi I'm Kiro Anodyne, 18 years old. Let's be friends~"

I raised my hand and he walks towards the vacant seat next to me. I hate him I hate his smile even though I just know his name. I hate his smile because it feels like he's happy. Yes I'm jealous. I wish I'm also happy like him I wish I can also smile like that.

"Hey Ms.Garoso why are you staring at me? Love at first sight?"

I did not realize that I was just staring at him. It was embarrassing but I ignored him and focused on the class.

Kiro's POV

She's beautiful but she looks like so sad and miserable. A smile will look great in her face.

Anyways let's focus on the class. My father will really drive me away if I drop out of this school again.

"Mr. Anodyne can you answer my question?"

"Ow can you please repeat the question Mr. Choi?"

Time skipped

Shoot where is the bathroom? I don't know anyone here. Who should I ask? I will just ask Ms. Garoso.

"Hey Ms. Garoso~ Where is the bathroom?"

"You can look at the sign there"

"Yo why so cold?"

Alas she walk passed me and ignored me. What's her problem?

"Hi can I get the yogurt and hamburger is thanks"

I'm at the canteen bored when suddenly a group of girls approached me.

"Hey want to hangout?"

"No thanks"

What is their problem? Are they too friendly? Sh*t I have a class. I ran and I bumped into her.

"Aren't you looking at where you are going?"

"I'm so sorry let me help you-"

"No thanks"

"But it's my fault"

"Can you please just ignore me don't talk to me... I hate you so please just leave me alone!"

I stood there for a couple of seconds and just go to my way. Why is she mad? Why did she hate me? I didn't even do anything with her. Weird.

Layla's POV

"But it's my fault"

"Can you please just ignore me don't talk to me... I hate you so please just leave me alone!"

I sighed and picked up my things. I wondered if I was too harsh but I don't think I was so I just let it go. I go straight to my next class. And he's there at the back. It's a good thing we didn't sit side by side.

Kiro's POV

I'm staring at her thinking what did I do to make her hate me. I just let it go and listened to what my teacher is teaching. Our subject is literacy with our teacher is Ms. Blake btw.

"You need to understand the topic that you want to write. And help it to be beautiful story. Because a story is like a person you need time to help them and it's important to understand them."

I raised my hand and asked

"Then Ms. Blake how can you easily understand it?

"There's no easy way. You just need to look for the clues and get close to it. Then finally you will understand it."

Kiro's POV

It's finally end of class. But actually I didn't focus on the class because I've been trying to understand why Layla hate me. But why would I care?! I care because of?

"Hey Kiro want to hangout?"

Oh it's Kuroa the one who's always surrounded by girls. But he's not bad he's actually a very good guy.

"Oh, Hey of course"

Oh I'll just chill with him I don't want to think about that mad girl so troublesome.

Skip to the Cafe

Sh*t this guy really is talkative. But he's funny to go out with.

"Oh Kuroa I have a question"

"What is it? You can ask me anything don't be so uncomfortable around me"

"Sure. So my question is do you have a girlfriend or sister?"

"Oh you-"

"No I don't want to understand girls just-"

"What do you mean? I'm trying to say is you want to know me~"

He's slow "sighed" that's fine. We will go to another story time of his.

"I have a mother and father. We are 4 children I'm the second child the first child is my sister Miya......."

And our conversation go on and on. We talked about many things and it's so long that I always yawn.

"Kuroa it's already so dark outside what about we go home?"

"But it's just like 6:30 why is it so dark?"

"I don't know but I need to go bye~"

"Bye~ Safe trip"

I'm walking out of the cafe when I saw a familiar face. It's Layla I'm trying to approach her when I thought that she still hates me so I cancelled what I was going. I decided that I'll follow her behind because we are in the same path.

While we are walking I noticed that she has many habits while walking. Touching the bushes that we passed by, Kicking rocks, petting cats in the aisle. I wonder why we are really at the same path going home. When I'm near my house I noticed that her house is just three blocks away our house such a coincidence.

"Kiro~"

"Wait am I hallucinating I'm hearing Kuroa's voice?"

"You are not hallucinating I'm here. So we are neighbors I'm living right side of your house so from now on we can go home and go to school together~"

"Hahaha sure"

Oh shoot it's fine like I said he's not bad. He's jolly I like making him my friend. I just don't like is he's always dragging all the attention.

"Kuroa"

"Hmm?"

"From now on we are friends alright?"

"..."
