[Yoojung]

The evening is a time of reward after the daylight efforts are made, when it feels good to enjoy the simple pleasures and ready oneself for the world of dreams. I was returning home peacefully. I spotted my brother ‘Yoomin’ there wearing a cute orange hoodie as always. I heard he got great marks compared with his last exam, well he worked so hard. I came running to him and I grabbed by his neck.

“I heard some great acknowledgments about you from mom.” I pulled him so tight.

“Sorry, who are you talking about?” His voice sounded so different. That’s when I realized that it wasn’t Yoonmin but another guy wearing the same hoodie. I apologized really quick and ran away.

‘Gosh that was embarrassing.’

I freaked out, I thought she was a saesang but I guess she got the wrong person. Though It’s better to be cautious.

‘Wait, what’s this?’

There was a pink diary with cute stickers all over them. I picked it up, I guess it’s probably her’s. I shouldn’t read it. Why do people bother to have a diary? Well I’m curious..but it’s her privacy, I shouldn’t touch it.

I came out of my shower, admiring my deep cleaned room with new comfy blankets gave me a smile. The cool air from the conditioner, The smell of popcorn and Taehyung busy choosing what to watch on Netflix was what life’s like...so beautiful.

“Ahh, done showering?” Taehyung’s attention turned to me, I nodded’yes’. I threw myself on the couch, nagging Tae to watch a movie in romance genre. He couldn’t get more annoyed so he chose “ To all the boys I’ve loved before.”

“There are three parts for this movie?” I asked as I saw the other parts. “It seems.” Taehyung’s concentration was all in the movie, me too. It was cute, I wish If I could have a love story too so that I can tell my children about it in the future.

“So it all started when kitty sent all the five secret letters to the respective boys? Wow she wishes for her sister’s annoyance.” I agreed with Tae. Sending the letters are a bad idea but what do you expect? It’s just a movie. Still something was really disturbing whenever I think about privacy, secret and stuff especially more when I see that diary. What’s in it?

“The movie was interesting, I’m going to bed Jimin. You should too.” Tae retires after leaving his long wide yawn. I got to my room, threw myself on the bed right after that. I closed my eyes, I couldn’t sleep.This is driving me crazy. I’m so sorry to the owner but I want to read it.

‘Am I making a mistake?’

“Those painful memories are books with chapters, deep and horrible; and so I leave them on the shelf to gather dust. I can pick them up if I need to learn something, to gain a perspective that helps me to create my own good story. I can use them to re-see situations through the lens of their needs and traumas rather than mine. I want today, tomorrow and every tomorrow after to be wonderful; I want to choose what to write on these blank pages.”
