"Miss? Miss is finally awake!"

I heard footsteps running towards me. I tried to move. But it felt like all my bones were broken.

I slowly tried opening my eyes.

How......how did this happen? It's not that I'm not happy about it, it just seems so unrealistic.

Just a while ago I was sitting in the corner of my room, curled into a ball, crying because of how lonely I was. My mother died of cancer and father never wanted to see me because I looked like her.

I explored my surroundings. People who I didn't know encircled me, clearly worried about me. I'm a little confused, what just happened?, the only thing I know is that I can feel the love of a family again, even if it's not my own, I feel loved, finally. A little tear formed in the corner of my eye.

"Miss is everything alright? Does anything hurt? You were unconscious for so long. *sniff* Should I call the doctor?" "Oh, it's ok I'm alright. I'm just so happy seeing you again"

The maid started crying, sniffing

"Miss I'm so fortunate, being able to serve you is the best thing that has ever happened to me"

"Ahem, ahem, ahem"

I looked in the direction where the noise came from. A man was standing at my room door. He seemed like he was about in his forties. He came over with a woman, if I'm correct about the same age, they both gave me a long hug. " Finally you're awake, we were so worried about you" Their warmth embraced me. It felt like time had stopped. I felt blessed, being able to sense the feeling of love was the only thing I ever wanted.

Then a thought came to me. This isn't me, it's not my form of existence. I don't deserve this. This belonged to the previous owner of this body.... but... I can't help but embrace them too.

"mom, dad?" I asked them carefully, trying to not let them know that this wasn't their daughter but an imposter from another world.

"yes dear?", they let go of me "...It's nothing..", "is it because of how we treated you? You know that we just want you to be safe! You can't control an element so you must understand that you can't go to the academy with the 5th prince!"

Suddenly, everything came back to me. All the memories of this body. Every single one. They streamed into my head like a river. I felt dizzy. My sight got blurry, I saw how my so-called father and mother tried to catch me as I fell back into my bed, unconscious.
