It was Freda’s first year in high school. Her grades were so outstanding that she was studying human biology in school. Her dream was to become a surgeon.

She could spend the whole day just studying. Relationships was a no go area for her.

She has beautiful blue eyes, dark curly hair and a flawless skin. She‘s the definition of every man’s perfect girl 😉.

She‘s well reserved and her room mates wondered if she could even speak. All she ever did was study or sketch. Amazingly, she’s a naturally born artist. Or sometimes, they see her wearing headphones 🎧

It appeared she was a music lover and she could sing too.

Her phone chimed noisily ; it was Tony. She buried the phone under her pillow and slept.

The phone rang again and it was still him, she reluctantly picked it up 😶.

“Why haven’t you been answering my calls?”,he blurted out.

Hey dude, I’ve been busy .

Busy doing what?

Nothing !!

O really ???

Yeah

( He hang up the phone, annoyed 😠)

Freda had a one hour lecture in the early hours of the day. She was already late.....

She bumped into one Tammy who was also heading back from a lecture.

Quickly, she finished everything in less than an hour. It was just too easy a test.

Whilst others sat still struggling with the test, she started thinking about Tony.

She had missed him .

All they do is fight.

Her phone beeped; it was Gerald.

Meet me at the library after your class.

Gerald was a lanky looking dude, extremely handsome.

They both shared similar interests.....learning, to be precise.

The bell rang, the test was over.

She rashed to the library right away.

“Thank you”,Gerald smiled.

You looking ravishing as well.

After a very soothing hug, they brought out their text books to study.

“Hey! Can you help me out with this?”, Freda asked .

“I’m ever ready 😉”,he replied.

“I’m hungry, let’s go to the cafeteria”, Gerald said with his hands on his tummy.

They walked hand in hand to the cafeteria; it was evident they were deeply in love.

On top of Freda’s coffee, Gerald had them write,”I love you”......it was so romantic

They stared passionately into each other’s eyes . They couldn’t keep it in any longer so..softly , they kissed .

“Have a great evening, love”, Gerald said, blowing a kiss in the air.

Freda stared at him quietly.

”Come here,”she said.

She hugged him as tight as she could and wishpered in his ear,”I love you”.

Quickly, she washed down and got back to her books .

Her phone beeped.....”I miss you 😘”, it was Tony.

She texted back...” I’m studying, text ya later “.

” Can we talk for just a minute ?”,Tony asked sadly.

She ignored the message and put on her headphones.

“The early bird catches the worm,”Freda said to herself. Waking up pretty early after long hours of studying was her kill joy.

Either ways, she had to make it to her biology class very early; she didn’t wanna miss out on anything.

Her eyes closed slowly and her head hit the desk as her biology lecturer screamed his lungs out to explain some challenging aspects to one pale looking boy.

” I still don’t get it”,the pale looking boy said disappointingly.

“OMG!!”, professor Evans exclaimed.

” It’s as simple as ABC, why don’t you still get it?”,he added angrily.

“Hey.... Freda, wake up!”, Gerald rubbed her back affectionately.

Freda looked as beautiful as ever, waking up from her sleep.

“Sleeping beauty, please pay attention”, Gerald said amidst laughter.

Gerald had never made it early to Professor Evans’ biology class in the early hours of Monday.

For Freda, although she was present, it was the only time available for her to sleep. Mondays were brutally packed up days.

We’ll be having a class assessment the next week we meet. Remember to read your notes; and don’t forget, I’m available anytime you have any challenges.

“Enjoy your day”,he stormed out of the lecture room.

As they always do, they headed straight to the library, Freda’s eyes were just so heavy.

She lay her beautiful head on her books and wast fast gone within seconds.

Gerald stared at her as she slept. He even almost forgot he had a math test he had to prepare for in the late hours of the evening.

Before she could open her eyes, Gerald had already left for his class.

He left a note saying; “I have a math test, kisses”.

She took her phone and realized she missed five calls; and it was Tony.

“This guy won’t ever let me be”,She complained.

She sent him a text saying; I’ll call u back after some minutes.

Tony sighed after seeing her message. He was so obsessed with her.

“Until then, enjoy your day, beautiful 😘”,he replied.

That evening was so stressful. Freda had assignments upon assignments to submit the next day. Her eyes were glued to her laptop,trying hard to figure out the solution to the questions.

“Wow!”, she exclaimed in exhaustion right after she finished the last assignment.

Her phone rang; it was Griffin. He was a stout looking light skinned lad in Freda’s chemistry class.

“For what do I owe you the sudden call?”, she asked.

”How far with your chemistry assignment?”,Griffin asked.

” I’m through with it”,she replied.

”Great!”,he rejoiced.

“Can you please forward me the solutions to it ?”,he asked shamelessly.

”No problem “, Freda answered without hesitation.

Griffin was just one extremely lazy student; all he ever does is chase lanky girls of all calibre.

He could even be awarded womanizer of the year if possible.

Freda said a few words of prayer and buried herself in her blanket.It nearly slipped her mind to say goodnight to Gerald.

She was too tired for a phone call so a text did the trick.
