"Ma'am, I need you to take a deep breath and then push again"

She took a deep breath and pushed again as the pain become more unbearable to hold. She calmed herself down and took a deep breath according to the nurse instructions.

Her forehead was sweaty. Her whole body felt so hot and in pain. Her face scrunched in pain. These isn't her first labor. She have a baby girl that was 5 year old. These pregnancy was unplanned. She doesn't even know she was pregnant until she felt the baby kicking inside her and was very panicking when the doctor said they were expecting a healthy baby girl. They never planned to have a baby until the first baby was 8 years old.

Few minutes later, loud cried echos in the labor room.At 130 am, on March 31st 2000, the baby name of Joan Precilda comes to the world.The nurse put the baby on her chest.That was the start of a baby life name Joan.

~Let me spilt some truth about this family and describe it thoroughly what Joan life gonna have and you will understand her life better a little bit. LETS SPILL SO TEA GUYS :)

Johnny, the father, felt excited but worried at the same time as they weren't financially stable at the moment. Biah, the mother, felt overwhelming as she doesn't even know that she was pregnant as she doesn't have morning sickness. it was very normal like the usual. she doesn't have the pregnancy symptom.

Mothers from both sides were hoping that they will give them a grandson.However, it wasn't in a good plan for them instead they were blessed with a baby girl again.After they broke the news to the family, lots of them were happy but some of them were not happy about it.Biah mother in law, doesn't like the idea of them not giving her a grandson.She despises Biah for not giving her son a baby boy.

Biah had a ▁miscarriage before her baby girl.She was pregnant with a baby boy at that time but it wasn't their luck.Now she has been pregnant with baby girls so her mother in law wasn't ecstatic.Her older son, Jaul, have given her 3 healthy grandsons so she been biased more to Jaul than Johnny.Her daughter, Sinit, also gave her a healthy grandson and a granddaughter but she didn't complain much about it.

Asian prefer baby boy than baby girl mostly chinese people. they really take that issue very heavily. If the female can't bear a baby boy, she will be seen as useless and a bad luck. Johnny mother keep blaming Biah for it. Her older son,Jaul, have given her 3 grandson and she was pretty much more biased towards them than her granddaughter. Her daughter, Sinit, have given her a healthy baby boy and a healthy baby girl, however, she ain't saying much about it.

There was a weird culture in Asia especially in Sarawak where they have to 3 options after they've been married. One is live with their in law from them female side, two is live with their in law from the male side and three is stay and live in the middle.It uncommon for them to stay in the middle, it mostly live with their in laws but they can have their own house. It was very complicated. These simple things can make both family fights about it.

Biah at first live with Johnny family and it was hellish for her. Her mother in law was very cruel towards her. She keep splitting hateful comments towards Biah when she lived with them. It's very crucial for the daughter in law to wake up early than their mother in law and then prepare for the meals. Biah situation was very similar with the Cinderella movie. Johnny was oblivious about his mother treatment towards Biah. Biah keep it bottle inside her,crying to herself when sometime her mother in law comments hurts her pretty bad.

Thus, both of their relationship wasn't great like we saw in the movie. Anyhow, the similar situation happen to Johnny when they lived with Biah family. Painful to say but both of the in law hate each other. Despise each other. They never really give their fully blessing for Johnny and Biah together but after they saw that those two really want to be together so they keep it bottle up.

Biah mother blame Johnny for influencing Biah to marry him and blame Johnny for not allowing Biah to be free and explore before she tied the knots. Biah siblings neither like or dislike Johnny. They have quite a good relationship but they still dislike him secretly.

Johnny and Biah first born child is Yen. A November Baby 1995. She is their precious gem. Stupid,dorky,crazy girl and too much to handle :) When she was born, Biah mother stay by her side for the entire pregnancy and even after the labor. Johnny mother however, just occasionally show up now and then to check up.

Everytime she show up,she just look at the baby, hold them a little bit, taking care of them and then go home. She never ask about Biah well-being like she doesn't even care about it. Yen used to bleeding in her meow when she was a baby for unknown reason. Even the doctor doesn't even know why it happened. So Johnny mother come into a conclusion, let's scrub a Acidic stuff to that so it heal :) she then rub a lime, a lemon, calamansi on Yen meow but it make the situation more worse. Then she clarity that Yen is weird because she bled like a girl in period but then she's just fine. her meow doesn't bled anymore until she come to her age. Weird right ? Joan also have the similar situation but they didn't rub the acidic fruit in her meow².  Imagine how painful that was.

Back to when Biah is pregnant with her second pregnancy which is her most unexpected pregnancy. She doesn't know she was pregnant until it was 7 month long. She doesn't crave anything before but she keep eating fried egg with soy sauce and addicted to chocolate drink.

As a result, Joan born with a skin 2 tone lower than her older sister Yen according to their aunt eyes. Yen have fair pale ivory  skin while Joan have fair rose beige. When Joan was born, she's nothing look like a girl. She look more like a boy and like actions movie like Ben 10 and Ultraman series. She have a nickname "Popeye" given by her aunt Sinit.

Joan was never treated the same like her older sister. Yen got all the new toys while Joan get all of Yen's old toys. Ever since Joan was young, Joan frequently falls in sick and she also have a nosebleed at a very young age. Joan have to constantly go to hospital to check up her health as sometime decreasing really quickly.

Does Biah mother accept Joan like she accepted Yen? Yes but not really. Does Johnny mother accept Joan and Yen like she accepted uncle Jaul and aunt Sinit daughter? No, she doesn't. She doesn't even give single fawk about her granddaughter from Johnny family.  Does it unfair? Yes it was. Thankfully enough that her aunt Sinit accepted them very well and uncle Jaul family too.

Ever since they were young, Joan and Yen never associate with their own cousins such as her uncle Jaul sons or her cousins from mother side. Nevertheless, aunty Sinit always come to their birthday parties and treat them very well. Always welcoming with open hands.

On the other side, no one really play with Joan because she was much more darker skin than their families and she was called lots of name since she was young. No one can accept Joan wholeheartedly. Not even when she was young. Sad right?
