Hello I’m Kino and this is how my whole world ended in one week.

Monday morning

It was a normal day for me the birds chirped and the bright blue sky shined upon my window. I checked the time it was 8:30 I got out of bed as I heard my mom say ''honey!!!! You’ll be late for school''. I quietly responded with a simple ''yes''. All I ate for breakfast today was a simple bagel spreaded with delicious cream cheese.I said in my mind “Who knew that just putting Cream cheese on a bagel would make it delicious.''

The mistake

Every morning my mom would say love you honey before she left and I would respond with love you more. But today was different I didn’t say the same thing...

As normal my mom started to leave and said ‘’Love you honey’’. I responded with a quiet ''same''. My mom had a worried expression on her face. Then softly turned the doorhandle and walked out of our tiny apartment.

School

I finally arrived to school then I got a shiver down my spine. It wasn’t because of the breeze it was something else... But I kept walking down the small hallway even though I knew something was wrong. As I walked in my classroom the teacher said to me ''your late'' in a rough tone. ''Sorry'' I slowly said with a sorrow face. I sat down in my seat then my teacher went on and on about how her husband didn’t propose on there vacation. I looked out the window and watched leaves slowly fall from Sakura trees.

Meeting the boy

School finally finished and as I was leaving I ran in to tall slim boy. I dropped my books and said ''sorry''. The mysterious boy then responded by saying ''no no I’m sorry''. I said in my mind ''how cute''.He helped me pick up my books and I smiled at him and he softly smiled back.

Mom

I happily skipped a home untill...

I saw a police in front of my door. I asked them what’s going on. They only said ''are you kino''. ''Yes'' I hesitantly said. They slowly said ''we’re sorry but your mother died in a tragic accident''. I backed away and dropped on the concrete floor and sobbed. That’s when I felt a hand on my shoulder. The boy I met in the morning was behind me. He sadly said ''I’m sorry for your loss'' and walked away. After the police explained to me what had happened to my mother. Once they left my eyes were filled with tears and it felt like my whole world collapsed just in one second.

That night

The sun was setting

and my eyes were red. I didn’t know what to eat, my mom would make me big dinners and we would eat at our little table together every night. I decided to make my moms favorite thing to cook I did everything my mom did but it wasn’t the same. It wasn’t filled with love and happiness. After I finished my meal I brushed my teeth and got dressed. I slowly headed to bed until I saw the picture of me and my mom. My eyes were filled with tears. I grabbed the picture and hugged it. Then I closed my eyes and fell asleep.
