The day was brilliant, sky was shining. under a tree there was a girl lying. surrounding her the people of the village were whispering a name to each other. " Shini!! Is that her ? " The girl opened her eyes slowly. It seems that she is unknown to this place. all the faces seemed unfamiliar. They were all talking a Language that was unfamiliar to her. But quiet the odd, she seemed to understand them. In the middle of chaos three people came Infront of the crowd from behind. An old man, seemed like village chief. a woman, seemed to be in her 50's. Everyone was referring to her as " mother ". The girl guessed that maybe she is a respected person in the village. And a boy, maybe 6 or 7 years older than her. The woman's face was quite cold but a motherly love can be found if looked deeply in her eyes. The chief was looking at the girl with quiet disgust . But the boy didn't seem to care at all. His gaze was hard as rock and seemed to have lost their shine. The girl tried to sit up. some of the villagers helped her. After sitting up she tried to remember something. she said " where am I? and who are you people ? " Everyone was shocked to hear that. The chief muttered with disgust " This girl has lost her mind. Maybe she had gone too close to the upper world. That's why I say to keep distance from the sky waters. " The motherly woman came forward and asked her with love and concern " my dear girl Shini, what happened to you? " . The girl was still so confused about everything. who is Shini? who is she herself?. The woman then said to the boy " Joe! Take your Shini home. " she suddenly laughed out. The boy was still motionless. He said " mother, please don't joke about this . " Then he got out of the crowd. The woman was silent for a moment.Then she smiled at the girl and said " Don't worry dear. He is just a little mad at you. A year ago, after you disappeared suddenly he never had smiled once since then. We all thought that Adam had killed you. We all were so sad. But here you are, safe and sound. " Then she ordered other 3 girls to take the girl to her room. They lied her down on bed . The room was quite clean and beautifully decorated. The woman then came into the room with another man, a doctor. He examined the girl. Then the woman asked her with concern " Shini Honey where were you all this time ? " The girl asked her back confused " who is Shini ? I'm... I am... " She couldn't say more. Her head was throbbing with questions. who is she? where is her home? who is her family? Everything seemed pretty close yet so far and unclear. The doctor said " don't try too much. It can cause opposite effects. I'm prescribing you some medicine. This will help you regain your memory. Till then be whoever you want to be. " Then he took out a small can full of tiny seed like medicines. He told her to take 5 seeds a day. The woman said worriedly " what has happened to our world? people are seemed to loose their memories. And mostly all of them are from the upper world. Because they don't know who they are , they are taken in as slave by That mad Adam. Now our people are having this disease. But now we don't have to worry too much. Because our hero Shini is here. To fulfill what she had left unfinished." The girl was just looking at everyone's face present in the room with so many questions in her mind. Who is this Shini girl? Who is Adam? What worries? what about the unfinished work? Joe was outside the room. " Mother, some works can't be finished." The woman said " what are you saying? I get it that Shini doesn't remember anything but that doesn't mean she won't. We are here. we'll help her remember everything. We are her only family right?! Look at her. How much time had passed without her. Didn't you miss her ? " Joe glanced at her and left . The doctor left with him. The 3 girls were still there . woman ordered them to go for now. They left the room with a stiff expression , like something remained unfinished. The girl was trying to say something but the woman stopped her. " Sleep now honey. I'll tell you everything later. " After she woke up, she saw the woman was sitting beside her . She asked " how are you feeling dear " . The girl nodded " I'm better now " . She then stood up and tried to leave the room but the girl stopped her . " Mother ... !" The woman gave her a warm smile and sat beside her and started to tell her the past that she had forgotten.

" You don't remember anything about what had happened right? Maybe these stories can help. " Mother said. The girl listened to her quietly as she continued her stories. " 2 years ago, A crazy scientist named Adam had risen. He wants the world to obey him. This world and the upper world. With the help of our powers of traveling space and time, he created a machine. With that anyone can go to the upper world without getting reborn. And anyone from that world can come here . It can also manage the time because the time difference between our 2 worlds are 17 years. He invented the machine based on the myths. you might not remember but we have to be reborn in order to get to the upper world. But they don't need to do the same. But if they managed to come here then they won't be able to go back. But in old days people used to believe that there is a door connecting the 2 worlds. Anyone who passes through the door can go back in time and continue living their usual life there. But everyone thought that was only stupid beliefs until Adam came with his machine. He promised to make our world better with the help of our people. Those who followed him willingly, were living life of Nobles. And those who opposed him were greatly punished, their cities got destroyed. Now they are his slaves. Just in a year, he took control of all the other states in the world, except for our village. He might have done it too if you weren't there. You inspired everyone. You're actions and bravery made everyone believe in themselves. You made everyone fight for their freedom. That's why Adam was unable to take control of our land. Your bravery and honestly made everyone admire you. you even made Joe fell hard for you " she chuckled. " Then one day you found out that Adam wasn't stopping only after inventing these. He also made memory medicine and crystal ball. That medicine can drain anyone's memory and those will gather into the crystal. He intended to bring people from upper world and use it in them to make them forget everything and make them his loyal slaves for his experiments and sexual desires. But you couldn't let it happen. You went alone to his castle to find a way to stop him but never returned. We tried to find you in every means possible. Mostly Joe. We all thought he might have killed you. But Joe didn't want to believe. But even after searching for days and months he just closed off his heart. He was devastated after that and never smiled again. some time after you got lost , Adam starred to threaten the villagers. He started to evict people from their homes. The 3 girls who helped you, Riya , Jhini , Ghumru were the ones to get evicted first, Because they were your friends. We gave them shelter." Every word of mother was making the girl angry too. " Who is this Adam? Who gave him the right to do such things? And how dumb can these people be? Don't they know how to do anything on their own? What have Shini taught them? Why they still didn't learn how to fight back for themselves?" She muttered in resentment. Mother said " Well this is it for now.Now get up and eat something. Then go on a stroll outside with Jhini and Ghumru. " She got up. After eating some light food she went out with the 2 girls. Jhini is taller than her, and Ghumru is shorter than her. The girl was wondering how fine their heights match. Different from each other but still somehow complete. The told her many things that even mother didn't know. Except for this village, every other places were turned into cities by Adam. there are tall buildings, Skies are black even in day. Light are everywhere even at night. Garbage piled up everywhere. Waters are poisoned And there are Ming-Mings everywhere. They are people made of metal. People of this world used to be loving towards nature and lives. But Adam changed everything. Because of him Nature is fading, lives are dying. Even if people didn't like it, they couldn't say anything because of Ming-Mings. If anyone tried to run away or attack or oppose him, the Ming-Mings shoot light beams from their eyes and destroy everything. No-one ever got hurt but the falling buildings and fire and booms made them so scared that there was no need to hurt anyone to make them silent. After Shini or she disappeared Adams men started to attack this village. After a month or so it became worse. His men started to abduct children,young girls and boys to be his sex slaves. The villagers couldn't take it anymore and so Joe and some other young people decided to make a deal with Adam. They will bring people from the upper world to be his slaves with the help of his inventions. In return he'll spare their land and people. Adam was satisfied with this deal and stopped attacking them. Jhini and Ghumru were in this too. They tried to convince Joe that Shini didn't want this! How would she feel if she saw him out of all people, doing what she always fought against. But Joe would always answer in a bitter tone " She isn't here anymore. She doesn't exist. And so her thoughts don't matter anymore. Our priority now is to make sure everyone is safe." Other than them, no one knows about this. The girl was quite frustrated. But then she thought maybe losing someone you love, makes you hard as stone...

All this time she was wondering, what is the upper world? There is sun in the sky..Then suddenly she noticed, a little far from where they are standing, up in the sky something was shining. She tried to look closely. Water; up in the sky? How is that possible? Water is just floating in the sky ? The girls said " this is the sky river. There are also sky lakes , sky oceans. " They both grabbed each of her hands and said " do you wanna see the upper world?" then they started to flap their legs like they are swimming under water. They all started to fly towards the sky river.

" Huh! what?! h- how is this possible?! There are children playing in there. There are trees, animals. birds are flying. But.. that only can be seen in the water?! Everywhere else is just clear sky?! Is this the upper world?! Where no one from here can go? But if they can come here, why don't they do so? " she wondered. Jhini said " they can only come here if we let them. Or they are in verge of dying" Though the girl had amnesia, the upper world somehow seemed very familiar to her. when they were coming down, the girl saw a vast field of yellow flowers right under the sky river, going along with it. They also felt so familiar to her. It seemed that no one has stepped foot in there yet. She tried to touch the flowers but suddenly Ghumru pulled her back. " Don't touch them! they are flowers from the upper world. Everything there is poisonous. Even these flowers. You can even smell the strong poison in them " she said. The girl didn't get what was wrong with the strong smell. " These flowers are only seen under the sky waters. Where the upper world rules. Most of the people hates the upper world as well as the people and things belong to there, while some of us really do want to know about it and try to take care of the people from there. Because they are all alone here" Jhini said. " Hmm.. so that's why this vast field is still untouched!" the girl muttered. After that they came back to the village.

As soon as they came back they sensed something was wrong. Everyone was silent and quiet frightened. When they came back home, they heard Joe screaming at someone. Mother was standing right beside him. He stopped shouting when he saw them coming. But this time he looked somewhat different. There wasn't hatred or bitterness in his eyes for the girl. Instead she saw fear and sadness in his eyes. Like they were begging her " please don't come here! Go back! Go!! ". The man who he was quarrelling with looked at her. He looked kinda funny. Like someone squeezed out all the water from a wet piece of cloth. She almost laughed from her own thoughts. She could see that the man was shocked after seeing her. His eyes had widened. A while later he got a hold of himself and then laughed out loud like a hyena. When he was coming forward she saw that he eyes were inspecting her from head to toe. He stopped Infront of her and said " woah! what a surprise!!! She is exactly like her ! So is she the one who'll go with me today?! " Joe looked at him like a wounded lion. " Adam! Don't go too far !! And don't touch her!!" he warned. Adam smirked " Wow the dog learned to talk back! Did you fall in love with this bi*ch too?!" he laughed. Then he grabbed her hand and said " now you come with me. From now you are also one of my slaves." The girl looked at others. Everyone was too scared to even care about her . " Just for whom did the real Shini fought and gave up her life ?! " she sighed. Joe was trying to say something but before that she kicked Adam in the leg and threw him onto the ground. " You wanna make me your slave!? I would like to see how. Come on, take me away. I'm standing right here. " She smirked as she crossed her arms. This sudden outcome of the event made the environment even more quiet. Even Adam and Joe both were speechless. Adam tried to stand up but his legs were still shaking. He didn't expect things to turn out like this. He stuttered " di- did you just k- kick me?" The girl replied " yeah so?! what are you gonna do?? " Do you know I can punish you any second?!" he said in rage. " yeah whatever. Now shoo. " She replied. He put his arm up to slap her but Joe grabbed him by the wrist. Then pushed him back and punched him in the face. At the moment something more was happening. Mother and all the other villagers brought logs and sticks and axes, whatever they could find to fight Adam. Adam ran for his life and fled. Although he said to bring his Ming-Mings soon to avenge. But everyone was busy celebrating their victory, earned after a long time. Everyone was dancing and saying " we have won because of Shini. She brought us victory again." The girl looked at Joe. He was silent for some time but then he covered his eyes with his hands and sighed with a smile. She was quite surprised yet happy to see him smile that made her smile too. She though to herself " Shini, I don't know who you are. How much they believed in you. How much they loved you. But these people see you in me and believe in me. I don't know my past . What I know is they gave me a name. Your name. From now on I'll live for you, as you. And be their strength whom you held dearly. You can rest in me. From now on I'll be you." Then she proudly stepped forward towards the villagers along with Joe.
