Friendly letter to my readers

Hello!

I'm Eve and I'm the author of the next chapters. I guess no one presents themselves but, really, I think it's important. So here.

I'm Eve and I'm a feminine amateur novelist(Cool way to say that I'm a girl). My first language is ''canadian french'' as all electronic devices say but I prefer ''québécois'' or ''quebecor'' for my fellow english people. This book may contain so mistakes since I'm not fully billingual, but I'll do my best. Also, This is an ''opinion novel'' as I'll call it since I'm giving you my point of vew on the topics I've chosen.

Why did I create this online novel?

I guess we never talk about a lot of things. As a canadian, I'm pretty aware of western beauty criters and taboo subjects. Personally, I never understand sex and my periods were so new to me, no one thought me how this all work. You know, sexual education is new from five years ago or so. And hell...

I won't talk about beauty critics now, I'll write a whole chapter on every part of the world's beauty critics and my opinions on this, so seven chapters, maybe more, only on this subject.

Tell me, how many of you, dear readers, can't love themselves?

I know, it's something personal. Well, not here! It may be again a taboo to talk about self love since you can't really show your flaws. I totally understand. I guess a lot of countries have their own little flaws. It's part of live. No one and nothing is perfect and let me tell you, this is what makes us wonderful! But you know what? Here, you can write your thoughts. You can be yourself and be honnest with all of us once in a little while.

What's my goals to achieve?

I want to create a book with interesting topics that will touch everyone. I want to learn what happens in the world and give you this knowledge with my thoughts. I want to make this book feel personal, like if we were talking face to face even though I know your reading me. I want to share some ideas, pros and cons about some topics we don't talk about often

But never politic cause I hate it... ('•_•)

Why did you call your book ''You are loved'' If this isn't the main topic?

A question I, myself, wonder about. I'll be honnest. I found the wallpaper(The novel cover) on the Internet and I don't know, I got inspired out of nowhere. I thought it would be a good idea to call my novel that since this is mostly a romance novel/BD/chat text application. I felt like this would be better to get to people's heart with this kind of title and also, I think it's really important to give you tricks about loving yourself because YES!

Dear readers, I'll give you tricks to stay inspired in life and to love yourself.

So yes, this is my ''little'' introduction to this book. I hope this will help understand my goals with this. No judging, only a better world and more open minded people I hope.

Let's talk about respect(let's break the banality in this word)

Hello! I don't what time it is for you, but here, it's currently 7:43 pm. This evening, I really want to talk about respect and I see you coming here. You are reading this saying things like: ''Respect is something we talk about since school!'' or ''It's something we already know about, so why talk about this?'' I understand. I personally felt like this too when we talked about this in class, but after this day, respect feels like the most important thing ever. So with no further due, let's start!

I guess we all have heard about respect at school, at work, in life in general. This word was over used and now, we only think of it as a banal word. But you know, basically, respect is a form of self love and care about people and thigns all arround you, beginning by your ownself.

So, here I come with the most important form of respect ever. You see, I already know what you'll say. ''Oh no, not self respect again!'' and ''I already know how to respect my own self''

♡~Self respect~♡

Welcome to my self respect intro. Not very original, but my topic isn't so... Yep.

Slef respect is a form of self love, self care and selfishness sometimes. I know... Being selfish is not the best thing according to society so we'll start by that. Selfishness.

I want you to be be selfish sometimes.

I don't know you, but do you know people that can not say no to anyone? Are you that kind of person? I personally am and it's draining.

You can never say ''no''. Your friends want to go shopping or want to hang out and you're not feeling like it. You want to stay home, relax, take care of yourself... At some point, your drained. Your batteries need to be charged but you still can't say ''no''. Well... We're done with this time. Say ''no'' if you don't feel like going out, you don't feel doing anything.

Talk about you're self if you need to talk, tlak about your problems and help yourself by having this weight off your shoulders. This may hurt some people arround you, but do what you feel like is better for you, not for others when it comes to your mental and physical health.

Ok, so... After selfishness, we'll talk about self care. This is not about taking care of yourself face to others or well, not only. We'll start with it thought, but we talked about it earlier, so I'll repeat myself. Say no if you don't feel like doing anything, take care of yourself and mostly in pandemic when everyone is in lock down. I guess to dress up and do your hair and make up sometime feels better. I guess to spend time with your own self feels good. Also, it can help you rediscover yourself and parts of you you didn't know were inside you.

Now that this is said, we'll talk about another form of self care I think is very very VERY important. Stop comparing yourself to others, to belittle yourself by saying your idiot, your good at nothing, your ugly,... These are hurtfull and dangerous aptitudes to adopt for your mental health and even, health in general. It can cause some mental health disorders like depression, anxiety, mood swings and even annorexia and boulemia. To help prevent these, finish reading this chapter. You'll have some tricks at the end to help you love yourself and respect yourself.

And now, self love. It's a mix of all we've listed higher above. But with one more thing to had to this all. Love yourself for real. Stop pretending. Stop saying your not good enough and stop being ashamed of who you are. I'll say it with all honnesty, stop caring about what people say. Your parents, brothers and sisters, your family in general, your friends, stop pretending and be yourself. If your part of the LGBT+, than be it. And there is way more but nothing is coming in my mind right now... Sorry! But yes. If these people can't accept yourself for who you are, then I don't know why you're still with them. Assume yourself and what you do.

♡~Respect your surroundings~♡

From your classroom to your working space to your home to the nature... Every where you go, you have to keep the space clean and furniture, infrastructure and all in good condition. You should take care of your surroundings and keep it clean. It's alway better, especially for outdoors and nature since it's a shared space. But it doesn't mean you shouldn't keep your house or working space clean. It's proven that a cleaned space helps for concentration and happiness. It's healthy in all way and it helps you feel good and make people and nature feel good.

♡~Respect of others~♡

Others feel too. I guess it's a bit contradictiry to what is written up above, since I say you need to talk and open up to others, express your feelings, but you can never forget that we all have our sh*t on our shoulders. If you want to talk, you have to express yourself with precaution if you know that person you're talking to also goes through a lot. We all have something to deal because life isn't an easy path to take, but it's still the best choice because without it, we could never accomplish all things we want to do. So you have to be taking care of your surrounding's psycholigy and your at the same time. It's a balance you have to find and it'll vary from a person to an other. So, psychology part is done.

Now, I guess we're in a world where violence isn't accepted, but I don't really knoe since I live in country where you can go in prison for being abusive. I'll tell you this. You can hate me for that, but to me, violence is not the solution. You can always talk calmly to express yourself. To yell and to hit the one your angry or not angry but to get your anger off on someone... It's not a good habit to adopt. It makes people arround you fear you and hate you and it hurts them. I know this is still normal in some places but let's change that. So, for the physical part, I'm done.

To recapitulate, you can express yourself but calmly and kindly even though you express anger to not affect to much the mental health of the other person and please, don't use violence. It just won't work.

♡~Self love tricks~♡

Hi! Nice to know you kept reading. It's now 9:02 pm and I've been writing since the whole beginning. I'm then happy to see your still here. So, ready for my tricks? These are personal tricks that works well. I can't garantee they'll work for every one, but their good to start with.

Talk to your reflection

No, I'm not crazy. Every morning, when you wake up, just encourage you. Be the one saying ''I love myself'' and ''I'm the best version of myself''. Also, if you don't feel so much like talking to yourself, write some sweet notes on Post-It and stick them on your mirror.

2.Positivity jar

We all have this useless jar or box at home. You'll need this and some paper. Just cut some rectangles and write down sweet notes. 365 to be precise. Every day, pick one random paper. You'll smile for sure. If you want to take it a step further, ask others to write someting on the papers and keep them secret until you pick them. A smile will appear for sure on your sweet face.

3.Don't do to much make up

For my make up lovers out there, I understand that heavy make up is your still and makes you confindent but try to have a day or two by week where you won't do make up or reduce the importance of product on your face. It'll help you feel better about yourself too, even though you might be feeling good behind your make up and it's ok. Just be kind to yourself and NEVER EVER say your ugly.

Tricks against insomnia

it's curently 00:54 am(midnight) and I can'g sleep. I guess insomnia is very useless. I don't know for you, but I actually come to stress because I can't sleep and that I have a not so relaxing day the next morning. So here are my own little tricks for insomnia.

Get out of bed

Your bedroom should never be anything ese than a room you can sleep and relax in. Try to keep all work and homework out of the place and get out of the room so your mind doesn't alow itself to assimilate a bedroom like a stressful place. You should instead go in your living room.

Get yourself something to do

Insomnia is sleep disorder, so no matter what you'll do, even if your sleepy, you won't be able to sleep so bring yourself a good book or draw mandalas(it's so relaxing) while listenning to very calm music. I have a Youtube playlist I personally created. If you're ever interested, my Youtube user is the same as here so Eve_Loves_Cats!

Snack

You can't sleep and your body needs energy, so eat something healty like an apple or grapes... Something sweet but healthy, like fruits. It'll allow your body to have a minimum energy and help you pass the headache and empty stomach feeling.

Listen to music

Ok... Already mentionned up above but I believe music is an universal language helping people to comunicate. Listening to relaxing music, baroque or classical can help some to feel better. stress is going out and your mind is focusing on the message the music sends you. It's like an unknown language to use but our subconcious knows it and I really do recomand you trying ti go check my playlist because the message in the songs is positive and really helps you get to sleep.

Zootherapy

You have pets? A cat, a dog, a bird or a fish? Just hang out a bit. Tell them your feelings and spend time with them. It's relaxing and efficient. Also, when a cat purrs, it helps our mind to clam down. It's like a sign showing you're safe and that your pet loves you. It always help to feel loved when you can't sleep, in my opinion.

Meditation

I guess it's something religious and you're not totally wrong. But you know, to focus on deep breaths and to think about somethings positive will help your mind fall asleep. And let me make this clear. You can not empty your mind. This is physically impossible. I think you have to be like the professional of meditation, so instead of thinking ''Don't think of anything'' and ''empty your mind'' and discouraging yourself 'cause it doesn't work, just consider focussing on something you liked about your day. It can be your meal, the only time your crush looked at you, you cat/dog coming to wake you up at 4 in the morning... I don't really care what goes in your mind but it works. Also, here is a tip for breating. 4-4-8

4 seconds, breath in.

4 seconds, you keep your breath in your lungs.

8 seconds, your breath out slowly.

Here! A lot more tricks can be found on the internet and you can use apps for meditation if you feel better with it. Things to not do though would be:

Avoid electronic devices

You can't sleep so you go on your phone or your tablet. Blue rays are disturbing to the brain and ruin concentration. You won't be able to stay asleep or concentrated and it will only make your insomnia worst.

Eat sweets

Contradicting myself again saying you should eat sweet.. Well yeah, but good sweets since they are longer to fully disolve. Your cells will consume less natural sugar like in an apple in more time than it would with a cookie by example.

The only reason here is that the apple's sugar molecule will be bigger so it will take longer for your body to assimilate it. So it's a little less energy on a longer period of time but you won't be so hungry after 15 minutes than if you've chosen the cookie.

Focus on fears/stressing events...

I relate for this one. I believe to focus on stressful events that occured or that will happen such as exams and tests can be... Ish! Our mind is program to fear. If we didn't fear or stress, about 6 million years ago, humanity would have died. We wouldn't be here. So considering it as normal, it's sad that it touches not so dangerous things in our lives such as failling an exam because at first, it was their for survival. But as I said higher in the text, to focus on your positive insignificant thing your mind remember from the day is benefic. And yes... Mind is programed for us to remember mostly the bad stuff so we can avoid other ''dangers'' or real dangers and guess why? Survival! We're so well made us living poeple. Just try to remember the interesting thing you had.

So zootherapy or meditation? No electronic device and no bad thoughts always help. Hope my tricks will help you feel better and have a good night!♡
