Maylene took everything she needed and went to the hospital with the other family members.
Upon arrival in the hospital they go straight to the 3rd floor where the ICU is located and wait for the time
that they can visit the patient.
Khylie refused to attend her class that day even Maylene insisted because of the exam, she’s been sad and
crying “ i don't want to go to school ma, i want to stay because i want to see daddy, she needs me” she pleases.”I promise i will go to school tomorrow” she added.
Atlast, visiting hours for the ICU patients. Since Khylie is a minor at not allowed to enter the ICU room, Maylene went to the nurse station and pleased them, “Ma’am please allow my child to see the patient, she’s one of his strength and inspiration so please allow my child even for now only” Maylene almost cried pleasing them. Luckily, Khylie was given 10 minutes to see her daddy.
In the ICU room, Kylie was shocked seeing her daddy’s condition. She froze and couldn't go near because of pity. When the old man saw her, the tears flowed from his eyes, they cried and seeing sadness in their eyes that the patient can't speak because something is connected in his mouth.
That was the most painful day for Khylie, she is so affected with the situation, she loves her grandfather so much. He is her strength and an inspiration next to her parents.
Khylie went to school the next day as she promised her mama and took the exam. The sad thing is, she’s not prepared, she can't concentrate, she thinks of her grandfather.``Daddy, i am so sorry if i can't make it as you always remind me”her tears flowed as she whispered it.
As expected Khylie’s performance was not good compared before for she was emotionally exhausted because of the condition of her grandfather.
Days had passed and Khylie didn't go to the hospital because she needed to take her exam, she always made sure that she had a love letter for her daddy.
“Hello daddy i miss you so much, please fight because i need you” “I love you so much daddy please come home the soonest”. “Daddy your nurse is waiting for you, i promise to take care of you so please come home”
“Daddy, i will visit you tomorrow so gain your strength okay so that you can come home the soonest, i am always be your nurse”
Those simple letters touched her daddy’s emotion, it inspired him so much and everytime Maylene read her daughter’ letter, her father burst into tears, he missed her princess and can't wait to see her again.
Saturday afternoon, a very lucky day that Khylie would see her daddy once again and a time also that the patient will be transferred to a recovery room.
“Hello daddy” Khylie as she surprised him
“Hello baby” daddy replied with his sweetest smile.
They really miss each other, but can't go home yet because still the patient is under observation due to
heart failure.Still needs to stay a few more days at the hospital so as expected Khylie is not as energetic as before. 6 days in the ICU and 6 days at the recovery room. Friday noon, Maylene call Khylie.
“Baby,i have a good news” Maylene said as she called her daughter
“What is it mama, tell me i'm so excited” she replied
“Baby, daddy will go home tomorrow, your long wait is over” Maylene explained. “Really mama, yehey, i'm so excited, i can't wait to see daddy” she cried
Excitement? Happiness? It's all over.Unexpected thing has happened. Heartattack!!!

“Daddy is in the ICU again, they are trying to revive him” she explained
“No mama, pls tell me your joking, i want to see daddy, i don't want to go to school, i want to be there,
daddy needs me please” Khylie cried. “You need to go to school baby, daddy doesn't want you to cry, he doesn't want you to miss your class. I
promise i will come home and fetch you, attend your class since tomorrow is saturday and you don't have class in the afternoon”
“No mama, please come home now and i'm afraid, i can't take it if something happens to daddy” she cried “I need you at my side” she added
Maylene went home to comfort her child and send her to school tomorrow.
At 4 o’clock in the morning, her phone rings. Maylene’s brother is in the other line, “Please come here
emergency, this is the seventh revive to daddy”
As Mylene talks to her brother, Khylie wake up as she heard her mama talking to her phone.”okay i'll be
there i just need to assist Khylie and send her to school” Maylene explained
“No mama i don't want to go school, i want to see daddy please”
“I will wait for you, we will go together, remember that daddy is a fighter he can make it” as she convinced
her. As Khylie is ready, Maylene showed strength so that her daughter won't be affected that much and continues to believe that her dad is in good condition.
As Khylie left, Maylene hurriedly prepared to go to the hospital. It took her 30 minutes to be there.Upon stepping on the ICU’s door, it is declared her Dad has gone. She dont know what to feel for her daughter, she feels sorry that only she knows the real situation.
All of the sudden, she burst into tears, hopeless.
Khylie is in shock, as she went home she didn't have any idea what was happening. Many people are in the house so Maylene rushed into her with tears.
“Baby , daddy has gone, i'm so sorry”
“Noooooo, daddy won't leave me” she cried
The loss of a loved one is very hard, as Khylie showed love and care to the person she always has, the
person who is always there for her.
The loss of her grandfather brings her so much pain. The very active young girl changes into a hopeless,
unhappy and lost self confidence. She no longer participated well in the class, her grades and rank affected.
She suffered so much pain that people don't understand what she's been through, some of her friends
judged her, some underestimated her.She needs people to understand her and not to judge her as she failed.
It's been 2 years, still cant cope up.
She failed yes, her grades and rank affected by her inner thought but there was no one who showed
concern to her.
She needs love, she needs a true friend.
She needs support, she needs to be motivated.
She needs a chance to prove herself and a strong determination to bring back the girl who is talented and
energetic. Though she always misses her daddy so much...
