It was a cold , chilly morning in Mique city . the birds chirping and leaves rustling in the wind . the people woke up early in the morning to start their work. the milkman delivering milk bottles on the doorstep of many houses.

The housing arrangement in this city was like - the central square and the surrounding area consisted of huge luxurious mansions , and people like the city mayor and officials of the palace lived there

The houses surrounding the mansions contained of medium sized wooden cottages and small houses , in which artists , businessmen , teachers , doctors lived.these area also had clinics , shops , schools ,etc.

the third category of houses were small and decent houses or huts and lots of empty plots , in which farmers , gardeners , florists , dancers etc lived .

the fourth and the last type of people living were slaves , servants , helpers and beggars.

they lived in shabby huts or broken down houses.

the people all have to bow down and respect the high class officials and have to listen to their every command.

In the most outer part of the city , where not even a single soul was found laid a hut which was extremely small but decent .inside the hut , an extremely beautiful girl around the age of 13 was laying on the bed . the small window through which the morning sun rays entered fell on her face , her eyelashes fluttered and soon two big aqua eyes opened. her white jade like face and pale complexion , together with cherry like lips made people go insane just by looking at her .

her innocent eyes searched for people she knew since her birth and her home she grew up. but she couldn't find . she saw her shabby and torn clothes and her bandaged arms legs.

soon a wave of memories swept through her eyes . she saw a lot of people fighting in the rain , many were slaughtered and blood flowed along with the rain . the clouds became dark and the thunder was roaring like a lion , her mom hugged her by her neck from behind . she saw a man running towards her and she could tell from the look in his eyes that he felt fear , grief ,sorrow , anger hidden behind that face of his as he advanced towards her at full speed , she stood without blinking , like she had no fear .

her mom saw this and pulled out a sword to protect her , she fought very bravely against the man , her sword peirced through his heart and he screamed and soon his body fell staggered and fell down his blood mixed with the water flowing looked like a river of blood. her mom turned around and screamed " Amy dear run , run and hide , don't come here again " saying this she plucked her aqua teardrop necklace and threw at her direction , she quickly caught it a ran from that place , suddenly she halted turning back and thinking 'is this the end of my kingdom , will I see my parents again , will they be alright ' she turned her head and ran at full speed in the direction of the forest .

she couldn't think properly , her head was blank , but her legs moved at a great speed . she was drenched in the rain from head to toe , her shoes were covered in mud . she occasionally stopped to turn around and look back at the palace and continued to run after a glance.

soon she ran out of energy and stopped under a tree . she took deep breaths and planned to run after a break .soon she came back to her senses .she did not know which way to run , left or right or straight . she did not know where she was . she only knew this was the grooves forest where it was swampy and marshy althrought the year .

she then closed her eyes to take a small nap before continuing her journey to the unknown.

she then opened her eyes to find herself on the bed . ha ha ha , was this a dream , huh? why would she dream about a shabby hut , she was a royal princess , who dares to dream about her resting in a chicken coop[a].

she then realized she was not in that muddy forest , but was in a more dirty hut. did she travel through time or did she die and her soul was found in hell. c'mon somebody explain it to her , where is she??.

while she was questioning her origin , she did not see that thin , frail teenage boy who was about her age walking in the door and placing 2 carrots and three radishes on the the small wooden table.

he asked "so . you have woken up . good , empty my house and go to where you came from".

she was dumbfounded , where she came from , who wants to live in his shabby house , and how the hell should she know how she came to this rotten chicken coop[a].

she said " hello, where the hell is your manners , as the princess before you shouldn't you bow down to me ".

the boy found it so funny that he was laughing like a crazy man , " princess ??? trying to fool me , even though you look down upon me because I am poor , I very much know about our kingdom's royalty , besides our kingdom has no princess of your age ".

she was literally so angry that she could blast off this hut , but she tried to suppress it because she wanted to know to which damn kingdom she had come to , she softly asked " sir may I know which kingdom I have come and what year is it .how and where did you find me ??"

the boy answered " this is Mique city , in Youvava kingdom. And it is exactly one year after the War of Mandace. and I brought you from the groove forest , this is my house."

she then understood everything. Youvava kingdom is her neighbouring kingdom , her parents had fought the War of Mandace , which was when she had to run for her life , and she had slept for a year !!!!!

she said " sir my name is Amilia and I was living in the Asqure kingdom ".

the boy replied in a worried tone " Asqure kingdom , hmm it was already destroyed in the War of Mandce , so your are a refugee ".

she nodded her head and said " thank you so much for looking after me all these days ".

the boy replied " your welcome , ohh I forgot to introduce myself , my name is Alex , I have a smaller sister called Lacey . she will be home soon ".

she replied " oh ok . can you get me a pair of clothes , I would like to take a bath ".

Alex turned red in embarrassment nodded and replied " all the women take bath in the in a small building in the next street , I will ask Lacey to go with you ".

Amilia nodded and turned to look around the house but before she could take a step her whole body was numb and she was going to fall of the bed . Alex instantly caught her arm and waist and said " hey , don't move a lot your body was in the same position for a long time so it is numb ".

Amilia nodded and slowly tried to get up from the bed after massaging and rubbing her body for some time . she got up on her two legs and started to walk around in the tiny house .

suddenly a tiny girl about twelve years old barged in . her reddish brown hair was neatly tied into two tiny pigtails . her shiny green eyes were filled with happiness to the brim.her smooth skin and healthy pink lips contrasted well. she wore a long olive green coat , with a full sleeve white dress with a black belt.

she saw Amilia and stared at her from head to toe and exclaimed " your eyes are beautiful!! ".

Amilia smiled at her and said " so you are Lacey

, Alex's sister . my name is Amilia , nice to meet you "

Lacey smiled and said " so brother already told about me , yes I am Lacey nice to meet you Amilia " .

" Hey lace , can you bring Amilia to the grand bath I will prepare soup for you guys ".Alex asked.

"ok brother , but please make the soup a bit sweet I don't want it too spicy ". Lacey said full of expectation.

Alex nodded and turned to go to the other corner of the room where on a small risen platform was there on which a pot was kept .he busied himself and started to prepare the soup with the carrots and radishes from earlier.

Lacey dragged Amilia out of the house . as they were living in the most outer part of the city , they have to walk a long distance to the grand bath .

the grand bath is were all the women from the third and fourth class residence come and have a bath . because their houses are too small to have a bathing room and can't afford to remain dirty everyday . this bath is made in every city in the Youvava kingdom , it is free of cost and has hot water all throughout the day and even at night. mostly the women who work , have a bath at night , so that they can relax their muscles after a long day of work , so mornings are not as crowded at evenings.

on the way to the grand bath , Lacey took Amilia in many shortcut ways , and small side lanes and even saw how people in live in these small lanes beside the main streets . Many people were crowded at the market to buy vegetables and many were moving here and there to finish their chores. there were many servants who had come to buy food for their master's house .

among all these noises ans shouts , Lacey explained each every single detail Amilia just keenly listened to Lacey's explanation on the shops , houses and streets .

the grand bath was still a few minutes from the place they were there , when they a heard someone calling them , they turned to look at the person who called them.
