JUNGKOOK'S POV⏤

I smiled to myself, holding a bouquet of Lilly that is my boyfriend, I mean my fiance's favorite one. We just engaged last month, our marriage is in next month, which only left ten days.

Been a week I had to go to Canada for my business. Now I am back. I can't wait to meet my baby, I didn't tell him or anyone that I am coming back today and is currently on the front door of my lover's house.

I am excited.

I pressed the doorbell and waited for my fiance to open. I sniff the Lilly, baby will like these a lot, it has a great odor. I smiled yet again and tore my gaze over the door.

Soon it opened.

"Tae-"

I expected my fiance, not his 18 years old young brother with his head lowered.

"Hyan Gi." I chuckled, "I was here to surprised your brother but here I am the one who got surprised. When did you come? Are mom, dad also here?" I asked, my eyes twinkling.

Hyan Gi bit his bottom lip and nodded as he looked up. That's when I saw his teary red puffy eyes, my eyes widened.

His eyes hold sorrow and pain.

"Hyan Gi, what happened? Did your girlfriend dump you? Why your eyes are puffy and red?" I chuckled, it was common for us to joke about boyfriend or girlfriend leaving.

A cry made me tore my gaze inside the house, "Who is crying, hyan? And you are wearing all black? I know how much you despise this color."

He and his brother, both were more into white color while I, a black lover.

I unknowingly clutching onto the Lilly bouquet I was holding.

There was something uneasiness in the pit of my stomach from the moment I stepped into the airport in Canada till the plane landed in Seoul.

Yet I kept shrugging it off.

"Hyan Gi? Say something, boy." I put one hand over the 18 years old shorter boy's head, lightly patting.

Hyan Gi's lips began quivering, stuttering some words that I could not understand. His body was shaken as I grew worried for the boy.

"H-hyung..." Hyan Gi's shaking hand pointed inside the house. "Hyung what, Hyan Gi?" I asked, my voice weakening.

Hyan Gi burst into tears and hugged me, sobbing loudly on my chest.

"Hya-Hyan, what happened?"

"Hyung!" Hyan Gi cried, "Tae-Tae- aci-accident- he---"

The Lilly bouquet fell from my hand.

I pulled him apart by his arms, "what do you mean!?" I yelled, Hyan Gi shook his head, crying helplessly.

"He is no more!" Hayn Gi shouted. I stared at him with wide eyes.

I began laughing.

Hyan Gi stared at me confusingly.

"Boy, you are getting great at acting like your brother. Okay, I got scared. Now stop crying." I said, smiling as I pinched his cheek and wiped his tears.

These two brothers prank me a lot.

My smiley face fell as he started crying again. "It is a prank..." I trailed off, my heart banging against my ribcage, fear creeping me.

"Hyung is dead." Hyan Gi cried. I slapped him and stepped back. "SHUT UP!" I shouted at him.

This is not true, it has to be a prank.

I ran inside the house.

Many people in black attire inside the house, sharp cries booming, shouts rung my ears painfully.

I halted in my track. I took few steps back. Eyes widely staring at the figure laying on the stretcher over the floor. A white thin blanket covered the figure completely. My heart thumped painfully against my ribcage.

A coffin just a few feet away.

My hands trembled. No, it can't be. It can't be. It's not my fiance, it is not. It's not my baby bear.

Tears building up in my eyes. A lump stuck in my throat, making my breath uneven.

The wind blew and the blanket flew off itself, showing the face of the dead body.

A breath left through my lips as my legs wobbled and I fell on my knees.

"Nooo," I whispered.

My fiance, my Taehyung was lifelessly laying there, stitches all over his face, his hands. The bandage wrapped around his head, a patch of blood on the side.

My whole world collapsed. My dream, future, life destroyed in a second.

The tears in my eyes didn't flow, they stayed there. I didn't blink just stared at my lover's dead body like a statue.

My soon-to-be in-law's crying over their son's death. His mother shouting, yelling why her son left her.

Every sound was unheard by me.

I became breathless.

Suddenly Hyan Gi came and hugged me, "Jungkook hyung!" He cried. His heart was breaking by seeing his brother's lover like this.

Taehyung's parents looked at Jungkook, their hearts broke even more as they saw his condition.

Not even a droplet of tears he was shedding.

Just standing on his knees with teary broken eyes, face void of any emotions.

Only I knew what battle was happening inside of me. There was a storm inside me. I could feel my heart-shattering piece by piece, then squeezing inside. My hands trembling, my whole body shaking.

Hyan Gi hugged me tighter.

"Kook-ah, smile."

His smiley face flashed in front of my eyes, telling me to smile when I was in the bad mood, giving me a reason to smile.

"Jungkook! Let me go."

I can never let you go then what is this. You left me, baby bear. How could you?

I pushed Hyan Gi away from me, I took a shaky breath with my mouth and stood up, making my way to the stretcher. 

I slide on my knees, "B-Baby." I touched his face carefully, his skin was so cold. It used to be warm, so warm I always snuggle my nose on his cheeks every time I had a chance.

"Taehyung-ah." I called, "Wake up." I patted his face, "It's a pra-prank, I-I know. I know it is. You want to prank me again. See, you succeeded. I got scared. N-now, wake up. He-heye..." My voice betrayed me at last.

Warm tears rolling down my cheeks, making my vision go blurry. I put my forehead against his bandaged one, "Y-You can't leave me." I sucked a shaky breath, "You can't." 

"Open your eyes, please. I beg you, don't torture me like this." I cried, "don't." My grip on his cheek tighten.

"I SAID WAKE UP!!" My face went red, veins popping out my neck as I screamed. "YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME! YOU FUCKING PROMISED!"

My tears wetting his bandage, I gritted my teeth to control my sobs.

Just let it be a bad dream, please.

I sobbed loudly, taking my lover on my lap, I hugged his lifeless body tightly. "You can't." I cried. 

"You can't leave me. Why, why WHYYYY!!"  I screamed, bringing his lifeless body closer, hugging him even tighter, "Bear." I wailed.

My cheek pressed against his head, "I didn't come back for this. Baby please." I breathed out, crying helplessly.  "Taehyung!"

I cupped his face, "Open your eyes, baby." I wiped my tears with one hand and exhaled, "You are pranking me. I know you are. It's enough na, im shedding lots of tears. Now stop this, please. You are so bad, bear. Please, for your baby bun."

I burst into tears again.

"KIM TAEHYUNG! I SAID WAKE UP!" I screamed on his face, "YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME! WE WERE SUPPOSED TO MARRY AFTER TEN DAYS!"

"YOU CAN'T LEAVE ME MIDWAY! YOU PROMISED!!"

"wake up. We haven't even decided what we will wear in our marriage. Taehyung-ahhhhhhh!"  I pressed my lips in a thin line, closed my eyes tight shut.

"You said you love me, for this you love me. Taehyung." I wailed out another sob. I pressed my lips against him, I kissed him but he didn't respond. Just kiss me back, give me reassurance you are alive, please.

The sight breaking everyone's heart, everybody was shedding tears.

"Kiss me back please, please, please."

I sobbed against his lips.
