I gasped for air as I sat up quickly. "Oh thank God. It was just a dream" I mumbled to myself. Wait... Why did my voice sound different? More soft and quiet. I tried to stand up but I felt something heavy on my legs. Before I could take the blanket off, a woman walked through the door. She was wearing maid clothes and seemed surprised when she saw me.

"Young master! You're awake! " She ran over to me and touched my forehead with the back of her hand. I shivered at how cold her hand was and gently pushed it away. The woman looked at me, obviously worried. Before she could say anything else, I picked up the courage to speak up.

"Uhm. Who are you? "

The woman stared at me with a mix of shock and concern. "Young Master, it's me. Hana Amajiro, I've been the Master's caretaker ever since he was small" I looked at her expression and found something familiar, the look of a concerned mother when her child was hurt or crying.

I felt guilty for no reason at all. I looked away and struggled to find the right words to say. I could feel her stare boring into my back. "I don't remember anything, I'm sorry... " Based from the way the room looked to the way the woman called me 'Young Master'. I can assume I'm not Saru Tanaka anymore. I can still remember the painful death I suffered and shuddered. I can't die again.

The maid was still talking so I placed my attention back to her. "His majesty will not be happy if he hears this. " I heard her sigh. "Stay here, Young master. I will get the royal physician. Please do not leave the room. " I looked up to see her walking out of the room and closing the doors.

I glanced around the place I was staying in, it certainly seemed like those classic medieval rooms you see in movies where Nobles would stay. I took off the blanket and saw one of my legs in a cast, I stared at it for a short while then tried to stand up. I struggled for a bit before realizing that I had crutches beside my bed. Wow, I'm stupid. I took the crutches and tried to use it at first. Eventually, I got used to it and decided to go out of the room. I know she said not to leave but I have to know where I was.

Once I opened the door, I stuck my head and glanced right and left. I looked forward and saw another hallway. I decided to go through there since it would be easier to remember. I looked around the place curiously, the walls were covered in paintings of different people. I slowly reached the end of the hallway and paused.

More hallways.... I turned left but accidentally bumped into someone who was walking out of the left. I stumbled backwards and let go of the crutches....WTF WHY IS THIS BODY SO WEAK?!

I braced for impact but it never happened. I looked at the person who I bumped into and it seemed like he was the one who saved from the fall. "Ah, Julius. I see you're awake, I hope you learnt from your mistakes. Which you probably didn't" He sneered at me. Wow, he's hot. I mean, what the hell is wrong with this kid?

"Who are you? " I asked him softly. Julius, huh? That must be my name in this world. He looked at me, shocked before dropping me completely. He glared at me and growled.

"Do you think you can escape from karma by pretending to not know me? I know you like Maya but at least take responsibility. And give up, Maya would never like a brat like you. "

I glared back at him. "What was that for?! I don't even know you! " I grabbed the crutches that were close to me and tried standing up again but the other male pushed me down. This kid! I felt him grab my shirt collar and my body suddenly jerked forward.

"You're just a reckless idiot who's only alive because dad favours you due to the fact you're his illegitimate son who he had with his favoured maid! " He yelled

Wow, you have a rough life Julius but what did you do to make this guy hate you?! I could tell he was growing more annoyed by each passing second. "I have a broken leg! Why did you still have to push me?! "

He was about to reply when a voice interrupted the one-sided fight. "Young master, what are doing out of your room? I told you to stay inside until I came. " The maid ran over to us and the guy dropped his hold on me. I glared at him before looking at the maid who was accompanied by another person. "Who's that? " I asked. The maid turned around and gestured the other person to come closer.

"He's the royal physician. I spoke to him about your assumed amnesia and he said he would help. " The boy who pushed me down widened his eyes and shock. "Did you say amnesia? " He asked. The maid looked at him and nodded. ''Yes, this morning, Young Master woke up confused and was unable to recognize anything.'' The boy looked at me with an expression I couldn't decipher before bowing to the other two.

"I'm sorry, I-I'll be taking my leave'' He murmured and ran off. I stared at him until I couldn't see him anymore. The maid saw my slightly angered look and tried to reassure me. ''Don't take anything Prince James says to heart. He is still angry about the incident with Maya.''

The physician asked an endless amount of questions, I slowly started becoming more irritated when finally he stopped. He looked at his notes and nodded at the maid. ''It's definitely some sort of amnesia, most probably from when he fell from the stairs.'' He stood up and brushed some dust off his suit. ''We will need to inform his highness since this is his son.'' The maid sighed worriedly and nodded.

I could see her about to say something when someone walked in. They looked about 17 to 18. He was wearing armour and had a blank face which portrayed no emotion at all. He looked like a guard from his posture and clothes. He looked at me and spoke coldly.

''The King would like to see Prince Julius.'' I sensed the small hint of annoyance in his voice and sighed. Julius, why were you so troublesome. As I slowly stood up, I could feel his eyes on me and observe my every move. Once I balanced myself with the help of the maid, I turned to look at the guard.

"Could you accompany me? I don't remember the way, unfortunately'' I asked him politely, I could see his expression stiffen up and he nodded. He walked towards the door and I followed him. When we reached the hallway, I couldn't bear the tension anymore so I asked him for his name.

''Charles'' He answered briefly. I smiled at him. Thank god he wasn't one of those people who would go 'The prince doesn't need to know a lowly servant's name'. I saw his expression falter a bit, looking slightly surprised but then it returned to his stoic one.

Then I tripped. Before I could hit the ground, Charles caught me. Thank god for that, I sighed at how weak this body was before giggling softly that my original body started out like this and here I was criticizing this body. Charles looked at me and a few seconds later, a thin layer of blush covered his face.

He lifted me up and placed the crutches in my hands, he helped me get used to them once again and led me to the place where I was supposed to meet the King.

Just by entering the room, which I later figured out was the throne room, I could tell that people hated the original owner of this body. I shuddered at their glares and noticed a tall man talking to James. He had a crown on his head and was dressed elegantly, I walked towards them timidly and the King noticed me."Papa?" I asked softly, I immediately noticed that everyone was slightly shocked by what I just said, even the King. I slowly started to panic and assumed I made a mistake.

 "I-I'm sorry, I was told that I was son so I assumed-'' I was stopped short when he hugged me. I paused, stunned, but then he started to speak before I could do anything. "It's fine my dear son, Papa heard you had amnesia so I just wanted to confirm it." I saw James looking dumbfounded at the scene.

The King let go of me and ushered me to James. We looked at each other awkwardly then I spoke, "So you're my brother?" I asked. James glared at me which made me flinch as nodded. I smiled lightly. "I hope brother and I can get along!'' I let go of crutches to hug him and noticed that he stiffened at the touch. I suddenly remembered my family in my original world and hugged James tighter. I missed my old family but they're gone, for now, I have to focus on this family.

|Third Person POV|

James held Julius by the waist to prevent the other from falling and glanced at Charles, he noticed the other looking jealous and immediately knew what was going on. He smirked. James steadied Julius and picked up the crutches. "Brother, you shouldn't be so careless" Julius seemed happy that James was finally showing some sort of brotherly love and smiled happily at James. James gave Julius the crutches and helped him. He could feel Charles glaring at him and smirked once again, He ruffled Julius's hair and smiled at the younger boy.

The King smiled and finally spoke. "Julius, you will be going to the academy where you train magic. I understand your amnesia might cause some problems but James will be there with you the whole time. Right, James?" James nodded. "Ah Julius, I forgot to mention. You have water magic" Julius looked curious and surprised but then smiled happily. "Alright, Papa!" The King almost cried tears of joy but tried to look professional.

 He ordered Charles to bring Julius back to the room and soon the two arrived where Julius first woke up. Julius stayed there the whole day and eventually went to sleep.

Julius was staring at his ceiling, thinking about why he was placed into this world. He noted how everything and everyone sounded somewhat familiar to him. Where did I hear the name Hana Amajiro?

The silence of the night lulled him into sleep not long after. Sadly for poor Julius, even in his sleeping state, he couldn't be left alone.

"I apologize for my absence, I hope my host has been able to adapt to this world. I am system: get rid of the heroine." A young girl's voice said. Julius opened his eyes and noticed how the room had changed into a white space. There was a girl with him who looked like a nine-year-old.

"Who are you?" He looked at the girl who merely laughed.

"As I told you, I am system: Get rid of the heroine. "

Julius paused. He decided against questioning the weird name and asked another question. "What do you want from me? "

The girl raised an eyebrow and sighed. "I'm your system, you probably realized you're not in your original world. Have you never read a system story before? "

"I thought those were only in fan-fictions and fantasy books. " Julius muttered. The girl smiled cheekily and moved closer to Julius.

"Some of the stories are real but do you know where you are and what role you play?"

Julius thought about those questions for a long time and only now did his brain give him an answer. "I'm in 'Book of light'. The book has a female protagonist who makes everyone fall in love with her, she possesses light magic and saves the kingdom with it. " Julius paused and thought about it more. "I believe I'm Julius Avila, the second prince of the kingdom, he was one of the main villains in the first book. "

The girl smiled in approval, glad that her host wasn't that clueless and actually used his brain, unlike some other people. "Do you know where we are in the timeline? "

Julius looked at the girl and nodded slowly. "Based on this broken leg," He pointed to the leg which had caused him to be unable to walk. "I can only guess we are at the part where Maya pushed Julius off the stairs."

"Mhm! Don't forget you get killed at 18 by your own brother. I see you've improvised quickly by trying to gain your brother's trust."

Julius sighed and ran a hand through his own black hair, before looking back at the girl. "I want to sleep properly now. Could you leave me?"

The system nodded and soon faded away, bringing the room along with her. Julius layed on the floor until he had dozed off again.

Julius opened his eyes soon after to see James staring at him. His older brother was standing beside his bed, glaring at Julius. "Why did you fake amnesia?"

Julius was genuinely confused and moved away from the other prince only to fall off his bed. James was surprised and sighed. He picked Julius off the floor and placed the younger on the bed. James pushed Julius down on the bed and got on top of him.

What... are you doing?! This is not how brothers act! Julius was internally panicking and suddenly felt his wrists being grabbed. He looked up at James and saw the crazed look the other had in their eyes.

Suddenly feeling threatened, Julius started to cry a few tears. "James! Stop it! " He tried to wriggle his wrists free but James's grip was tight and didn't allow the other to go free.

"Stop faking it, Julius. I know you're lying! " James shouted at Julius who was now sobbing. James loosened his grip on Julius, making Julius think that James was going to let him go, but right as he was about to get up, James grabbed his throat.

Julius started coughing. James's grip was strong causing Julius to start choking from the pressure. The younger was trying to pull James's hands away from his throat but was getting more dizzy from the lack of air. "Brother, please.. "

James abruptly stopped and looked at Julius who was whimpering and sobbing. James got off Julius and looked at his hands while Julius got up and reached for James's hand. "James? A-are you okay? "

James looked at Julius and closed his eyes. He gave out a shaky sigh and got off the bed. "I.. I'm sorry. " James left the room in a hurry and left Julius wondering what happened.

"Wow~ That was quite eventful. " Julius heard the voice of the system and sighed. He massaged his neck and looked around. "His grip was too tight. " Julius muttered to himself.

Julius grabbed the crutches beside his bed and stood up, he went to the door and was about to open it when the maid walked in. "Young master! What are you doing out of bed? " She noticed Julius's neck which had red marks. "What happened?! "

Julius whimpered and the maid sighed. "Nevermind. You'll be heading off to the academy today so I'll help you bath and change. "

Julius found out that he was being washed by the maid and found it embarrassing but tried not to show it. After being changed, the maid left once again only to come back with Charles who was dressed in the same uniform as Julius.

"Prince James has left I'm afraid. Charles will accompany you, he has been enrolled to help you in the school. " The maid explained as she helped Julius stand up. They walked past a mirror and Julius saw his reflection. Black hair, blue eyes. The exact description of Julius Avila in the book.

Charles accompanied Julius to the carriage and helped the prince sit down. Charles noted how Julius was quiet the whole ride and wasn't whining about going to school. Instead, the prince was staring outside with a frown on his face. Once the carriage reached the school, Julius took the crutches and tried to stand up.

Charles immediately helped Julius down and led him to the gate where everyone had started glaring at Julius.

A girl with light brown hair and a light green dress ran to Julius who was talking to Charles and apologized. "I'm so sorry, Julius! I didn't mean to push you down! "

Julius looked at her and tilted his head. "Who are you? " Of course, Julius already guessed who this girl was, Maya Valencia, the original female protagonist. Maya looked at Julius, obviously tearing up. The others who were watching started to whisper and made it obvious that they hated the second prince.

"You don't have to be so mean, Julius! " Maya sobbed. Julius was surprised and backed up a bit. Clearly uncomfortable, Julius tried talking to Maya again but Charles stepped in between the two.

"Maya, just leave Julius alone. Right now is not a good time to apologize. " Charles looked at Julius and was pleasantly surprised when Julius looked at him gratefully.

Maya glanced at Charles and Julius before running away, crying.

Julius sighed in relief and thanked Charles quietly. They both walked to Julius' class together in silence. When Julius reached the classroom, all the chatter suddenly dropped to whispers but there was one voice that could be heard clearly.

''Ugh, Julius is back. ''

Julius looked to see where the voice was coming from and saw a handsome werebeast who had dark brown hair with chocolate eyes, the werebeast got off the wall he was leaning on and stood in front of Julius. He towered over him and stared at him with piercing eyes, a smug smirk on his face.

"..uhm... H-hello? " Julius stammered.

"Hm? Julius doesn't recognize me, huh? Usually, you would yell at me." The werebeast smiled down coldly at Julius who was utterly confused. This is a person who was not mentioned in the book so he is unimportant. Julius had assumed immediately but shook the thought when he saw the werebeast light up when Maya entered through the other door of the classroom.

Another harem member, Julius shook his head, annoyed that he had another problem to go through today. The werebeast noticed that Julius looked annoyed when Maya entered and immediately assumed Julius did something to Maya in the morning.

Julius was suddenly shoved by the werebeast and was caught by someone before he could hit his head. Seriously, what's with people shoving me? There are so many more ways to tell someone to get outta your way you know!

Julius looked at the person to thank them and saw a boy who had white hair and blue eyes. Ryan Keref....The sadist manipulator, he made Julius trust him and broke down Julius using that same trust. He also had some... scenes.. In the book with Maya and took pleasure in her pain.

Julius immediately pushed himself off Ryan and onto Charles who caught him. "Thanks, Charles " Julius muttered to the young guard who gave Julius his crutches.

"Lay off Gene. Julius doesn't remember anything " Charles defended Julius who was still struggling to use the crutches.

"What do you mean he doesn't remember anything? " Gene asked, Ryan looked interested too and glanced at Julius.

"Simple, he has amnesia. " Everyone in the room was shocked, not just by the information, but by the person who said it. It was James, the first prince was standing by the door glaring at Gene.

"Is it true you have amnesia, Julius? " Ryan asked Julius who was looking for his seat. Julius looked at Ryan and nodded. The white hair boy smiled and led Julius to his seat and helped the prince sit down.

Julius looked warily at Ryan. "Why are you helping me if you obviously hate me?"

Ryan was surprised by the question. "I don't hate you. " He frowned, pondering why Julius would think he would hate him. Julius shook his head instead and turned to look through the window.

The teacher soon came in and started to take attendance.

"Luka"

"Here"

"Ryan. "

"Here"

"Lynn"

"Here"

"Julius" The teacher was about to move on to Maya when Julius interrupted.

"Here"

The teacher didn't look up from the sheet he was checking and instead pushed up his glasses. "So you're Julius's then? I'm a new teacher so I assumed you weren't in this class anymore "

"I was injured for a while. I apologize for my absence. "

"Maya. "

"Here"

After the teacher had completed marking attendance, he moved onto the lesson. Julius looked out the window, not paying attention to the class. Ryan glanced at Julius and sighed, the same as always. He had thought.

"Julius, answer question 5 for me." The teacher called. Julius snapped his head to the board and squinted at it.

"The Northern Kingdom had started to expand their territory and started trading with the eastern kingdom. The west and south saw that the north could potentially become a threat and suppressed their growth by killing their traders. " Julius noted how everyone, including Gene, Ryan, and Charles, stared at him in amazement because he actually got an answer correct.

He felt Maya glaring a hole in his back and went back to staring out the window, feeling uncomfortable.

I'm sorry for the short chapters. I try to write all of this quickly, My Co-writer won't do their job. Hmph!
