My Hero Academia X Reader
• The Before •
The walls around you were covered in news articles.
The thin pieces of paper were held up tightly by colourful thumb tacks, each connecting to one another with a thin piece of string.
You haven’t slept in at least two days and your body craved rest.
Not when you were this close anyway.
You sigh as you rub your eyes.
They hurt from the screen you had them glued on for the past two days.
Both your eyes and your head needed rest.
But you are not one to give up so soon.
Your Mother lays motionless on the mattress next to where you sit.
You watch her chest rise and fall with the small breaths she takes.
It makes tears threaten to spill from your eyes so you avert your gaze.
Back to the endless reports.
• Introduction •
You sit yourself by the window.
The street is quiet, and the sun is slowly peaking over the tops of the buildings.
You have another hour before you have to leave.
You shower and pack your things, eating a slice of bread for your breakfast.
Y/N
I’m going to head off now, we are almost out of food but I can try and stock up this afternoon. I love you.
Once again, you are left unanswered.
You sling your bag over your shoulder and head out of the small apartment block, toward the station.
It’s not unusual for her to behave like that.
You can’t remember that last time you have had a full conversation with your Mother.
But it didn’t bother you any more.
You find yourself at the front gates of U.A.
Your feet are planted to the ground as you admire the schools beauty.
You inhale deeply before you move your body towards the entrance.
There was already a bunch of people gathered around the halls, their voices were loud.
You hug your bag straps closer to your chest as you look for your class.
Written above the door is the little letter and number you were looking for.
A small sense of relief overflows you as you step inside and appear to be the only one.
You sigh and head towards the desk at the far corner, grateful you the first one in.
That is until you heard a deep voice come from the front of the room.
You turn around, expecting to see another student.
You watched him as he flicked through the pieces of paper that rested on the small stand.
Aizawa
I wasn’t told about a new student.
Aizawa
And I can’t find anything written down about you anywhere.
You look down at your feet and hold your bag closer to your chest.
Y/N
Should I go to administration?
You looked back up at the man as he rubbed his eyes.
Aizawa
It’s fine, I’ll go and speak with administration, while I’m gone can you wait outside of the classroom please?
Aizawa
I don’t like when children are left in here unsupervised.
But you nodded and left the room as well.
As you were waiting for the mans return, you see a group of people who look around your age, approaching the classroom
You look away, not wanting to be caught staring.
Deku
I thought I would’ve done better, I should’ve studied harder.
Iida
We did the best we could, at least we didn’t fail.
You peak at the boy with green hair through your fringe.
His eyes are the same colour as yours.
Uraraka
At least you guys actually got good grades! I scored so lowly, barely a pass.
Deku
It’s still a pass Uraraka, don’t be to shaken by it. Besides, we are only at the beginning of the year, still a lot of time for improvement.
And the green haired boy seemed very kind.
As you watched the three students, the boy with glasses look directly at you.
You quickly looked away, feeling the heat make it’s way to your face.
You look at the boy who is now looking directly at you.
The other two also following his gaze.
The boy pushes his glasses up and then extends his hand to you.
Iida
Nice to meet you, I’m Tenya Iida.
He smiles at you as you shake his hand.
Y/N
Nice to meet you too.
Note: This will be roughly the length of each chapter :)

Everyone was let into class.
You were still able to sit at the back corner of the class, seeing as it was one of the only seats left.
Tenya Iida sat at the other back corner.
While the boy with green hair, as you found out to be Izuku Midoriya, sat a few seats infront of you.
The Ochako Uraraka girl sat not far from you either.
The room became quiet when the man from earlier raised his voice.
The class replied morning in unison.
Aizawa
As some of you already know we have a new student joining us today-
He points to you and you feel the eyes of everyone in the room linger on your skin.
Aizawa
Please stand up and introduce yourself.
Everyone keeps their eyes on you as you stand from ur chair.
Y/N
I’m Y/N L/N, nice to meet you all.
You sit down quickly and focus on the teacher.
Aizawa
Thank you Y/N. I’m Mr Aizawa, We will all make sure you feel welcomed to our school.
Although his words sounded sincere, he said it in a harsh tone. Never moving his eyes from the bench he was leaning on.
You moved your gaze to Uraraka who was giving you a thumbs up.
You smiled politely back before moving your eyes to stare out the window.
Although you had only been here for just over an hour, you were tired and wanted to go home.
You drifted in and out of sleep for the rest of the first class, not really remembering what anyone spoke about.
Only fully coming back to life when the lunch bell sounded.
You grabbed your things and left the room with everyone else, Uraraka and Midoriya walking by your side.
Uraraka
Y/N, would you like to join us for lunch?
You looked over at Midoriya, who nodded his head with encouragement.
Y/N
Sure, if you guys don’t mind.
Uraraka
We don’t mind at all.
She smiled at you and you returned a small grin.
The three of you sat yourselves down at a small booth in the cafeteria.
Uraraka
I’m going to go and buy my lunch, you want to come?
They both looked over at you.
Y/N
Thanks, but I’ve packed my own lunch today.
You don’t have enough food at home to pack your own lunch.
Uraraka
Okie, we will be back soon.
Both her and Midoriya disappeared in the crowd of teenagers and you were left alone.
You looked down at the table and ran your fingers across the shiny wood.
As you sleepily ran your finger over the table, you heard someone sit across from you.
He pushed his glasses up with his middle finger as he smiled at you.
Y/N
Of course, Midoriya and Uraraka have just gone to get their lunch.
Y/N
I brought my own lunch today.
He pulled out a neatly packed lunch box, filled with delicious smelling home cooked food.
He then pulled out chopsticks from his bag and was about to eat when he heard the rumble of your stomach.
You quickly looked away from his food.
Y/N
I ate already, just before you came.
Iida
You still sound hungry.
Y/N
The food just smells really good. My body’s just complimenting it.
Iida chuckled and began to eat.
You hesitated, but the food smelt really good so you nodded.
He handed you his chopsticks and you hungrily took the food between them and forced it into your mouth.
You had to try and stop yourself from moaning with satisfaction at the amazing flavour.
Y/N
Wow Iida this food is amazing!
He nodded as he accepted the chopsticks back and began to eat.
Iida
My older brother says that to become a pro hero, knowing how to cook is an essential.
Iida
Don’t know why but he insists it’s true.
Y/N
If that’s the case, you are going to make an amazing hero.
As Iida proceeded to eat his food, Midoriya and Uraraka appeared again.
Uraraka
Y/N, Iida, hey there.
You nod and move over to make room for Uraraka.
The rest of lunch is spent complimenting Iidas food, laughing and random banter.
(Note: sorry this one was a bit longer than I planned.)
