The interview

Xia Huo and Lian Zing were both looking out to the beautiful navy blue sky when they received a notification for a message. “Your request for an interview with firefly entertainment is accepted.” Both were surprised and happy when they saw the message and thought that finally their dreams will be fulfilled. Xia Huo belonged to the powerful Xia family or to be precise, her mother did. But after getting pregnant from her stepmother’s scheme, Xia Lin was disowned by her own father and currently had no shares in the Xia group. Then did Xia Lin realise the importance of self-dependence and started rose entertainment from scratch and she wanted her daughter to be self-dependent like herself. So, Xia Huo had never thought of herself as a wealthy heiress. She lived on her own in a one-bedroom apartment.

The day of the interview:-

The people interviewing for internships were lead to 2nd floor and people interviewing for recruitment by the agency in the 5th floor. So, Xia Huo went to the 2nd floor and Lian Zing to the 5th. Both went in and then came out of their respective rooms looking nervous.

After 2 days:-

Xia Huo’s POV-

Ahh!! I am still having second thoughts about Firefly entertainment. After all, it’s my mother’s rival company and Mr. Zhang hates mom. If he gets to know that I am Xia Lin’s daughter, I would surely not survive. But, that’s all mother’s fault. I could have just gotten an internship in rose entertainment, but no! “The staff in rose entertainment will not treat you as a regular employee but as my daughter.” Ugh! mothers.... Then she receives a message: “You are hired for an internship at firefly entertainment with probation period 3 months.”

Yayyy!!! Now I can finally show my mother that I am Xia Huo, and I will never be defeated.

Lian Zing’s POV-

This is my last chance to prove my grandfather wrong. He didn’t allow my father to come in the entertainment field and wasn’t even allowing me! Thanks to my dad being adamnt about sending me here, or else I would have been stuck in the countryside. Then he receives a notification- “You are recruited to be a singer and songwriter in Firefly entertainment with a training period of 3 months.” Woohoo!!! Yippee!! I did it. Now I will train hard and get the best of my gifts.

Lian Zing reported to the 5th floor of the building where his audition was. A woman in her 30’s approached him. “This is going to be your training schedule and this is your assistant.” she said while giving him a paper and pointing towards Xia Huo.

Xia Huo’s pov

When I arrived at the building, I reported to HR department and they sent me to the 5th floor. A kind lady whose name was Rhia told me what I have to do- be the assistant for a new recruit while he is ongoing through his training period. As she introduced me to the recruit- Lian Zing, I froze. I mean, I knew that singers are supposed to look attractive but he was just so handsome. His face showed that he was a bit nervous, like me and his eyes showed that he hadn’t slept much but his attitude didn’t show any lethargy. He seemed happy to see me and introduced himself as one of the new recruits who auditioned last week. His friendly smile took me off guard. I was pulled into a daze when Rhia said, “Now that the introductions are done, please head to the place given on the schedule.” So, Zing and I were headed to the vocal training room.

Lian Zing’s pov

When I was introduced to the new girl, a smile crept up to my face. I thought that I’d have a difficult time with the training and all but an angel came through. She was brown hair tied back into a ponytail and blue eyes. When we started going to the vocal training room, I asked for her name. She replied quickly- Xia Huo. She seemed the type who wouldn’t waste time in unnecessary chattering so I kept mum. The training was done in a few hours. After completing vocal practise and songwriting class we were told that’s it for today. This was the first day so there wasn’t much to do. When we were heading out of the lift, I was a few metres away from Xia Huo. She quickened her pace to catch up with me and asked for my phone number with red cheeks and dimples in her chin. As she put her phone in my hand, her hand brushed mine and my heart skipped a beat. I gave her the phone and said ‘Goodbye! See you tomorrow.’

Xia Huo’s pov

Ahh! While giving him the phone my hand touched his. I felt a spark of electricity. My cheeks turned warm. As he handed me the phone, he gave me his best smile and said ‘Goodbye! See you tomorrow’ As soon as that 6 feet figure disappear from my sight, I dialed up my bodyguard and asked him to investigate Lian Zing. Sooner or later, I will make him mine.
