I opened the door to my house and walked inside closing the door behind me
I removed my heels and tossed them away
Finally, I got to the couch in the living room and collapsed on it
I glanced at the clock hanging on the wall... it's 10pm already and I still didn't have my dinner yet
I looked at my reddened toes and rubbed them slightly

I went to my room and removed my dress... I badly want to take a shower
I walked inside my bathroom and turned the shower on..cool water cascaded down my body, making me feel relaxed
After I got done with my shower, I dried my body with the towel and slipped into my night wear... cotton shirt and shorts

I poured myself some red wine and started taking slow sips

My mom and her weird ways of looking after me...I chuckled
I mean obviously, I can just empty the food into the dustbin and then take a picture of the plate and send it to my mom and convince her that I ate
But we both know I can't lie and when I say I can't lie, I really can't lie but I guess that's only applicable for my mom... only she's able to catch my lie
My mom catches me everytime I lie..sometimes I wonder if she has some hidden power or talent but then maybe all mothers have that talent.. I sighed
I finished the last bite and took a picture of the plate before dumping it into the sink
I sent it to my mom and got a thumbs up and smiley as a reply.. I smiled
I drank some water before going to bed and switched off the light. I laid on the bed closing my eyes
But this time too, his face appeared in front of me before I drifted to deep slumber
It's always been like this... seeing his face before going to sleep and waking up to his face every morning
It's like even if I didn't want to think about him, my mind would remind me of how he looked
And this is how it happens everyday, with him being the last thought in my head before I end my day and him being the first thought in my head before I start my day

Chapter 2
I woke up the next morning at 7 with my alarm beeping into my ears and I'm afraid I might get deaf
I reached my hand out and pushed down the button turning it off.. see so peaceful now
I was about to sleep again but then I remembered that today I have a very important meeting with the CEO of the no. 1 company and it's at 10 in the morning and I cannot afford to miss such a golden opportunity for me and my staff
And also this CEO is mysterious and he never showed up in public I wonder why, this adds more curiosity in me to know who's this great human creature. He rose this corporation in less than 4 years to such a height that now it's the no. 1 company in the world which invests in almost everything
Getting their deal would make our company rise 10 times higher and my staff would get raise in their salaries.. wow !
I jumped off the bed, arranged my bed properly and went into the bathroom
After my shower, I picked out my dress
I decided on wearing a Grey shirt tucked in my black knee-length skirt.
I got ready and stuffed the bread in my mouth and after that I gulped down the juice

Well.. I have my lunch in the office and about my dinner, it actually depends, sometimes I go to restaurant, sometimes I cook for myself.. (don't look at me like that, of course I know how to cook) and sometimes I order online like last night
I know I said I'm not going to wear my heels ever again but you know without heels your work attire would not get completed.. and I also know the fact that I'm again going to wince at night and curse these heels
I wore my black heels and headed outside
Michael opened the car door for me

Michael just smiled and closed the door when I sat inside
He took the driver's seat and started the drive
My office is at 30 minutes distance so I should reach before 9:45 I thought...
I looked at my wrist watch and it showed 9:09...so I'll reach on time
Michael drives fast actually and we reached before 9: 45...it's just 9:28 now
I smiled at Michael and walked inside
Everyone bowed to me and greeted me.. I greeted them back and took my private elevator
