"Kaira, please

agree. Your Aunt Suzette really came here for you." Mom's forcing me.

Earlier she was pressuring me because of her friend's request. She will just

make me her son's Tutor.

"I don't want

that Ma!" Disgusted I replied then I sat on my bed. "One more thing,

Aunt Suzette's son is very proud." I added which is true. Hee was my

classmate so I knew.

I told her emphatically and then stamped all the contents of my bag.

I just nodded as I

searched for my belongings. Where is that memory card? I just put it in my bag

here.

I slowly opened my

was confused by what was happening. Why is he here? I haven't asked Mama yet

because she has come down. I just secretly peeked at him here on the stairs.

Gosh!!! I even pinched

my arm.

"OUCH !!" I

whispered screaming. I'm not even dreaming.

I hurried into my room

and immediately opened my messenger. Goodness! He chatted with me and I didn't

reply. I also took a shower right away because it was embarrassing.

"Kent has been

waiting for you for a long time, Kaira." Mom said before we left the

house.

"I didn't tell

him to pick me up." I said in disgust. It's too early and this is how it

Mom's reminder before going back inside the house.

He removed the lock of

the helmet I was wearing and after that I left him. I don't want to go with

him.

"Hey where are

you going?" I asked Kent who was now ready to leave the classroom.

"I'm going

somewhere. Why?" he replied without emotion. Maybe he forgot that I had a

job with him? I stood up and approached him. "Wait a minute, is that more

important than what we do?"

"I'll

follow." He answered and pushed me a little more. It's up to him. Just

when this still happens tomorrow, I quit.

I just let him go.

Whether he comes back or not, it's up to him. I’ll just do what I have to do.

I went to the library

to finish my assignment that I hadn’t finished last night. I caught up with my

friend Jade there.

"I thought you

were with Kent?" She asked as I sat down next to her.

"He went

somewhere. And another if he really wanted to pass, he wouldn't leave."

Wait, why are you here?" Jade asked then pulled out another notebook.

"I'll just finish

my assignment for the last subject." I answered and took out my notebook.

then."

He was right there; I

had to find the memory card again so we could return it to the owner. Maybe one

of our teachers was the owner then.

I just nodded and

continued what I was doing. I was shaken by what I noticed 30 minutes ago and

Kent was still not coming back.

It's okay even if he

doesn't come back because I really don't want to be with him. And one more

thing, I’m going to have a good time with no one bothering me. Because I can't

immediately focus on what I'm doing when someone is bothering me.

Jade and I also

finished what we were doing. We parted ways because he was going to the

Teacher's Faculty to pass the assignment for the two of us while I was going to

the Canteen to buy snacks.

him to pick me up as his Tutor?

tie my shoelaces, I heard screams not far from my seat. I quickly went to the

classmates who were running towards me. Panting he pulled me towards the

crowded student.

"Danica, what's

up?" I asked Danica as we ran towards the screaming ones.

"Because Kent

..." She stopped what he was going to say because I left him. I

immediately went to the crowded area and looked for Kent.

Gosh! I don’t like

what I see. I immediately approached Kent who was lying on the ground. The edge

of his lip was bleeding. What's going on? I was confused questioning myself.

"Call for

help!" I told the students there as if no one knew what was going on. I

saw Danica immediately run to the Guard House. Her Dad is the Security Guard of

our school.

I turned to Kent

again. He was just looking at me. I don’t know if I’ll be happy because of her

condition, but I feel more pity for what I see now. Kent is arrogant but he has

sides that he is a good classmate.

I was about to talk to

him when suddenly someone shouted from behind me.

"Get out of

there!" a man shouted from behind me. I immediately confronted him and

blushed when I saw him strike me with a hard stick. I close my eyes instead of

leaving where I am. I can't just leave Kent here. Obviously he can't take his

body anymore so I can't leave him.

As I closed my eyes, I

suddenly felt someone hug me and we suddenly fell to the ground.

"Ahhhh!" I

heard Kent say after he felt the hard wood fit behind him.

I opened my eyes.

Kent's body opened up to me, facing me as well. He was unconscious and his face

was still stuck in my neck.

My tears rolled down

my cheeks after I realized that Kent saved me. I'm just happy because even

though he can't take his body anymore, he was able to stand up for me.

I heard the guard whistling.

Three guards approached us and one took the three men who had been fighting

with Kent. One supported the unconscious Kent and the other helped me stand up.

I immediately called

my Mom to report what had happened. He would tell Kent's parents. After I

talked to Mama, the guards also took me to the hospital to check if I was

injured. My back and head hurt a bit because maybe I fell to the ground.

We are in the Hospital

now. Kent is okay but he still doesn't talk to me. I wanted to ask him about

what happened but I never did. I'll just let his parents ask him.

Moments later the door

of the private room where Kent and I were opened. I immediately stood up when I

saw my Mom with Kent’s parents.

"What happened to

you, son?" Aunt Suzette asked Kent. Aunt Suzette also gently touched his

head.

"It was just a

small fight, Mama. It just grew because of her." Kent even taught me. My

eyes widened immediately. Why is it my fault?

"Wait, why is it

my fault? Didn't I save you?" I was annoyed to ask him. After what I did

for him, he still blames me.

"If you hadn't

blocked, it wouldn't have hurt your head, you wouldn't have fallen." He

just said calmly. Yes he saved me, but I was just worried about him before.

That's why I didn't leave expecting that his enemy wouldn't continue beating me

because I'm a woman.

"Don't blame each

other. Whatever happened before, we'll just talk later." His Dad

suggested.

I just ignored him and

then sat on the sofa again. So annoying! Why is he blaming me? I wish I hadn’t

just gone there. I wish I had left him.

"You looked so

miserable earlier." Suddenly those words came out of my mouth. I didn't

look at him, I just looked at my cell phone.

"Ouchhh!" I

grabbed my neck. It suddenly hurt.

"What's wrong

with you Kaira?" Mama asked and sat down next to me.

I didn't answer

because the doctor who examined me earlier suddenly came in.

"Ms. Kaira Jane

Santiago." He said kindly.

"Yes, it's

me." I answered the Doctor then I stood up and approached him.

"You don't have

to worry because you haven't sustained any wounds or any injuries. Well, you'll

just feel body pain because of the bruises on your back." Doctor's

explanation. I breathed a sigh of relief because I was scared earlier.

"How about my

neck?" I even asked him.

"No worries, like

I said, you have nothing to worry about."

"Thank you."

I just said. After that he gave the test result to me then he came out.

We didn't stay long in

the hospital either but Kent will stay there for another three days. Aunt

Suzette also talked to me about being Kent's tutor. I agreed to visit him here

after our classes so that I could teach him while he was resting here in the

hospital.

I honestly didn't want

to continue being his tutor when he blamed me for what happened. In fact, even

if I didn't block him there, his enemy would still strike him.
