I didn't want to hide myself but I had no choice. I wanted to see the world in a new perceptive. I wanted to know how to feel emotion. I felt so empty inside like there's no one I could depend on. I felt "Lonely." Well I only felt like that till I met him. And like every other story it started on that day.

[At school]

I walk into my classroom and see eyes staring and gossip arises. I just don't look at it and cancel the noise out. I look at my desk and see the words SLUT, BITCH, ASSHOLE lying on my desk. I sigh and sit down. Its not like I didn't expect it. They all laugh at me. Maybe because I- Someone slams the classroom door open. No surprise its Jason. He walks towards me and slam his homework on my desk. "I want this finish by tomorrow do you understand!" he yells. "Ok ok your spitting everywhere" I said with my hand covering my face. "What did your just say" he picks me up by my hair and pulls it up. Our face barely inches away. You must be confused why he's doing all this to me. He's my boyfriend, but there's no love. I thought if I dated him people would leave me alone, but it only got worse. He just uses me for his work and I have to listen. "Aye Jason that enough your doing to much" says Ace. "ACE! Be quiet before I make you" says Jason. Ace sighs then says "You couldn't do that no matter how much you try lets just go your making to much of a mess here" he says while looking outside the classroom door where a crowd stands. "Fine" he says as he lets go of my hair. He turns and leaves the classroom while his lackies leave with him. I look up but Ace is still there. Next thing I know is were making eye contact. He smiles at me the pats my head. I have no clue why but I felt kind of happy. He takes his hand off and leaves to. "HUUUH what the heck was that" the classroom says. Gossip about patting my head started to arise. This is going to be a problem I thought.

[Leone's House]

"I'm home!" I yell. No answer comes, but I expected that. Moms dead and dads out drinking. I wonder how I could easily say something like that. "Mom's dead." I thought of it as weird. I put the thought behind my head. I cleaned the house, made some dinner for me and dad, and did the laundry. I walk to the restroom and look into the mirror. I take off my glasses, then removed the fake freckles on my face. Un-did my hair from it's ponytail and went to sleep.

[An hour later]

I'm woken up by a loud bang. I run out my room and see the front door open with my dad stand behind it. I walk over and close the door as my dad wobbles in the house. "I- I see you back home wel-" I try to say but then feel a hand on my shoulder. I turn around and as I do I feel a hand come for my face and hit me in my mouth. I slam into the door and look up. "Wh- whY IS nOt this PlaCE CLEAN!!" my dad yells. I stay silent on the ground. I didn't care I just wanted to sleep even if its forever. I was just so done. My dad tries to hit me again but falls asleep as he goes down on the ground. I run to my room and lay on my bed. About to cry I think of the smile that Ace gave me. I then smile to and start to laugh. "What a weird guy" I said "I wonder if I'll ever see that smile again... wait huh what am I saying itsnotlikeiminlovejustsayingthatilikehissmile an- and the way he patted my head AAAHHHHH." I went to sleep right then and there I didn't want to have those thoughts.

[At Leone house]

I wake up and get ready for school. I walk past my drunken father and go outside and walk to school. Because of the punch yesterday my lip is busted and cheek is red. "This is the worst" I said. "What is" a voice speaks out. I look to the side and see Ace Lee on his bike next to me. He goes ahead swerves his bike right in front of me. All I do is stare. "I mean you could stare at the beauty as long as you want if you'd like. "Huh what do you" my face was all red when I said that. I walk past him and he follows off his bike. We end up walking for five minutes together. I stop and say "Why are you following me." "Well we both do go to the same school or am I just dumb" he says. I continue walking and try to ignore him. I glance up at him and didn't realize how tall he was. He looks down on me confused. "You know your really tall" I say out of no where. "hahah is that your way how to start a conversation" he ask me. "I was just saying be quiet" I answer. He continued to laugh and laugh at me. I hit him on the side and tell him to stop laughing. He stops then the silence grows. Were about to end up at school when he stops walking. I turn around and asked him why he stopped, He then looks at me and says "How bout we ditch school." I told him no but then he drops his bike, takes my hand, and runs off. "What are you doing let go were gonna be late for school" I tell him. He continues to run off I look back at the school at it gets smaller and smaller. I thought to myself that I'm going to be in so much trouble when I get home. He stops moving and and I looks at something. I turn my direction to where he turned to and look there was trees everywhere. "WHERE THE HECK ARE WE" I said. He walks further through the place and I follow him as I move the branches in my path. I see a bright light further ahead. Ace goes into it and I follow him in. There I see a glimmering sea. My face lights up with happiness. I have no idea why but this feeling right then made feel calm and joy and a whole bunch of thing like I finally safe. Ace looks down at my face and see me and blushes. I look at him and for a good minute were jus there staring at one another. We then quickly look away after. Ace sits down on the floor as he rest his back on a tree. He grabs my hand and pulls it down to the floor to. He hugs my head and closes his eyes. I then too do the same.

[7 hours later]

I wake up and see Ace still sleeping I get my phone out and look at the time. My eyes widen. I had totally forgotten about school. I shake Ace and wake him up. "What mommy I'm sleeping five more minutes" he says. I scream to him "WAKE UP." "Oh its just you Leone" he says. I blush real quick cause he just called me by my name but then get back to what I was going to say immediately. "We missed seven hours of school" I said. "I said I wanted to ditch school" he tells me. I thought to myself why did I follow him ughhh I'm an idiot. Ace then glances at my lips and red cheek. He thinks to himself what happened there but he didn't ask just in case it was not a confrontable topic.

He get up close to me and then I feel something soft on my lips. I realized that this man Ace Lee had just stolen my first kiss. My eyes widen as he stops. "What the heck was that" I say out of energy. "I felt like kissing you" he tells me. "Well just cause like you feel like kissing doesn't mean you can" I said "Were not even dating what am I suppose to do ughhh your honestly something else." "Then how bout it" Ace says. "What" I said in confusion. "How about you date me instead of Jason" he says. He notices my red face and then says "I'm joking hahahha." "That- that's not something to joke about" say as I run off. "It's alright one day I'll make you mine" he yells at me. Even though I heard what he said I didn't want to believe it. An hour later schools already done and I enter my house. My dad still on the floor. "I wonder if hes-" I stopped talking. I dropped down to the floor and see if he still has a pulse. Nothing, nothing at all. My father is "DEAD." The only person who was there not for confront but was there had just died. I call the ambulance and about ten minutes later they come rushing in my house. All I could do is stare. I didn't go to school for a week. They didn't know what to do with me. All I could do is just be there. They told that I could just stay at home until further notice.

[At school]

"She's still not back yet" say Ace "I'll just ask the teachers." Ace walks into the teachers lounge and askes for her, but no one knew except one. "Well I'll tell you Ace but you have to keep it a secret ok" the teacher says. "Yes I understands" he replies. "They said that Yurumi's father died" the teacher said. Ace face widen. "But that not it he was abusive to her to" the teacher says. Ace thinks back to last week when he saw he Busteed lip and red cheek. He think to himself all this time she been getting hurt at home. "What about her mother" Ace askes. "She died when Yurumi was a kid" he answers "So now she's just alone." Ace thought about that word alone. All this time she's been- "Could you please tell her address" Ace askes. "Well I don't re-" the teacher is interrupted "Please!!" Ace pleads. The teacher gives it to him and Ace rushes out the school {he a runner he track star.} 5 minutes later he finds himself at her house. He knocks on the door but it swings open. He rushes inside and hears sniffling. Its coming from my room. He enters and sees her curdled up in a ball crying. She slowly looks up and sees arms approach her. Ace hugs her tightly. "Ace" she says. "Don't go thinking that your alone alright!" he screams "I'll always be there even though it only been barely a month but I think no I know I've already fallen for you." My eyes widen as I start to cry. I hug him back. We sat there just hugging and we both refused to let go.

[Another week later]

I'm back at school and I'm done hiding from people. I realized that I don't need to hide my self. Meaning no fake glasses or freckles. Only the real me. I entered class and everyone starts to come up to me. One said "are you new" another "wow your so pretty." Then I asked myself did I really look that different. I squeeze my way through them and sit at my desk. A girl comes up to me and says "No don't sit there that's the loser's desk. I then say "Well I guess I'm at the right desk" they all get confused. "Are you all so stuck up that when I take off the freckles and fake glasses you can even realize who I am" I say. The class all synchronized say "Whhhhhhhhaaaatttt." Ace and Jason enter the room. "Well if it isn't my beautiful angel so this is what your were hiding under all that makeup. Its good that I loved you even when you were-" he gets interrupted. Ace and I both say "Before she/I was what." "Ace what are you" Jason say to Ace. "I never really liked the way you treated anyone especially Leone" Ace talks. Ace then punches Jason right the jaw, then as he was about to grab my hand instead I grabbed his and held onto in tightly. We run out the classroom and up to the rooftop. There's a silence for a while but then we start to bust out laughing. "I can't believe that just happened haha" I said. "I know right ahha" he replied.

[Confession and Promise]

"There's something I need to tell you but don't freak out ok" I said. Ace turned serious and said "Ok I'm listening."
