It's a bright sunny day. Lily was admiring the weather when she heard someone calling her name " Hey! Lily! Wait for me! ". As soon as she heard the voice she knew that it was Daniel. This was her childhood friend. They are in same school for almost 10 years. As long as she can remember she had Daniel by her side all the time. She turned and saw him. She said " Hurry up, dummy! We are gonna be late again." Daniel started to laugh and said " Oh gosh! How many times will it be? We must have been late for school like 1000 times?!" Lily was angry as always. She is gonna be late again for school and it's again this idiot's fault.

Look at this idiot! He is even laughing instead of feeling guilty. Lily was annoyed. She started walking without him. Daniel got a hint that he again annoyed Lily so he shut his mouth and started walking.

Daniel thought to himself while walking "So this is the girl I have loved for 10 years. She is so dense. I gave her so may hints and yet she never noticed my feelings. Aaah! This is so frustrating! How can this girl be so dumb! Hmph... She will understand when I give up on her. But I just can't. I wonder why? "

Soon they reached school and was again scolded by their teachers for being late " THIS IS THE LAST TIME I AM LETTING YOU GUYS GO!! DO YOU TWO EVEN KNOW THE MEANING OF DISCIPLINE??! GO TO YOUR CLASSES NOW. I DON’T WANNA SEE YOUR FACES NEXT TIME." They were finally excused after getting scolded. Daniel knew Lily was upset over this. He was about to say sorry for this morning but when he looked beside he saw that Lily had already left. So he decided to apologise in lunch break and went to his class.

In Daniel's class he was sitting on his seat by the window. This seat was always reserved for him. He is sitting her for 5 years. Reason? So that he can watch Lily during PE and Arts. Daniel was still immersed in his thoughts about her "sighs.... when will you notice me girl? Am I invisible or what? Damn! I really want her to love me. Aah... This feelings is both blessing and curse I think. I always wanted to express my feelings to her. But I am afraid. What if it destroys our friendship? What if she starts to hate me? When he was drowned in his own thoughts the classes ended. He was rushing to go and find Lily to apologise. Right then his friend Ron and Evan stopped him " Hey bro! Where are you rushing to? Classes just ended. Don't forget we have a match today with the seniors! Let's go, buddy!".

Daniel completely forgot about the match as his mind was filled with Lily "Oops... Sorry! I forgot.... umm.. about that match... can I skip it today?"

Ron shouted "WHAT THE HELL BRO? DID YOU FORGET WE BET 500$ ON THIS FU*KING MATCH! IF WE LOOSE WE ARE DOOMED! "

Daniel " ouh.. right... I forgot.... my fault... well then Let's go! Hurry up!" He thinks : Aah... I wanna get back as soon as possible! They won't let me go unless I agree to play.

They went out the classroom and to meet rest of the team at the school ground.

After the classes ended Lily was preparing to go home. Just then Kathy and Bella called her. She turned and saw them standing behind her " What is it? I am getting late for my guitar lessons " Bella said " Aagh... You still have 2 hours left. Hey! Lets go to watch the football match! Ron is playing! "

Kathy was also excited " Not only Ron but Evan is also playing! We got a chance to see their cool sides! " Lily had absolutely no interest in these childish games. But her two best friends are going. She thought I actually have some time left " May be I can watch for half an hour. Um... Ok lets go girls "

They left the classroom together and Kathy as always started talking about boys " OMG! Did you see Evan's abs? His is so hot! I just love him! "

After hearing that word Lily thought Love? What is love? Finding someone cute and hot? Is that whay supposed to be love? Why do people keep talking about this all the time. Don’t they get bored?

As soon as Lily and her friends entered highschool, everyone around her started to fall in love. Except her. They would always keep talking about how beautiful love is.... Or how much they love that "special" someone.... Lily never understood these talks. Because she never knew love. Lily asked them " What is love? Lily still didn’t understand what true love is " Then what is true love? " Kathy said " Oh my girl! Don’t worry! You will find your Mr. Right someday! Till then just enjoy watching other boys." Lily found this discussion annoying " Mr. Right? Ouh please! Is love that important?! " Bella said " Love is life! Without live no one can live! If you live you will fall in love of course! Be it your crush or BF or Husband. You will love them surely. Love is so beautiful.It introduces you to a whole new world. It makes you happy like crazy. Lily stopped arguing cause she new it was useless "Ah.... I see." Lily knew she would never fall in love. Even if she tried. Trying? Do we have to try to fall in love? Isn't is natural to fall for someone. Then why does she have to try? Why can't love come tonher life naturally like others? Why can't she love!

They reached they playground and saw the match already started. She sat on the grass beside Kathy and Bella. The boys were loosing. Of course the seniors are better! Seniors had 2 goals where as

those idiots had none. Suddenly Bella asked " Hey Lily... Don't you come to school with Daniel? " Lily knew where this was going " Yes I do! But only because Mom forces me. She thinks its not safe for me to go alone." Kathy joined the conversation "Whatever you say.... Don't you think Daniel and you look good together... I mean you guys are already the rumour couple in our grade. Aren’t you interested in him? He is so cute and friendly. Don't you find him special? "

Lily thought cute? Interested in him? Isn't he like other boys? Special? What are these? Why would I find him special?... Lily wanted to ask all these but she only said "No.. I don’t" Bella and Kathy was a bit disappointed " Hum... Ok! " Soon Lily's time was over. She bid them goodbye and went for her lessons.

On the way she was thinking : Isn’t it annoying for them to always talk about the something nonstop! Bella said love is beautiful. Is it though? She said it makes us happy. Why should someone live when they know it’s gonna hurt at end? Why isn’t love something like how people describe them?

Lily looked at the sky and said to herself "Well... It has got nothing to do with you Lily. You can't love anyone. Doctor uncle already explained it to you." She knew she can never fall for anyone. After hearing so much about this from others, for the first time she wanted to love. She wanted to confirm herself, is love how people describe them to be or how she has seen cruel and painful ?
