If I was given a task to fill a pie chart by ranking how much time I wanted for all the 8 periods of school, I would fill the whole pie chart with the lunch break period. Well, even though these breaks are given for refreshment after hours of continuous studies and for eating lunch, we all enjoy having a lot of fun during these 30 minutes.

As soon as the bell rings a drastic change is seen and heard. The environment of seriousness, calmness and drowsiness is broken within seconds. Even during the fifth period, few children, of which I am a part of, eagerly wait for the bell to ring. During the first few minutes, children can be seen sharing and eating their food happily. The different aromas of food and clanking tiffin boxes can be heard, along with everybody chatting. After that, some people go down to the playground while some stay in the hallways and classrooms. Some children hurry and rush to the ground to play, as soon as they quickly finish eating. The top view from the corridors, of the ground downstairs looks beautiful. It looks as if ants dressed in our school uniform are scattered around. Shouts and screams like, “Yay! Goal!!”, “Hey! Pass it here!”, “Come on~!”, “Hurray!” and so on can be heard. It is pleasing to see how students enjoy this freedom of 30 minutes in different ways. Some energetic children play various kinds of games; some just roam around taking a short stroll and relax; some chat with each other in pairs, trios, or large groups; some still eat food till the end of the period; some going to the infirmary because of getting hurt; and some witness all these, of which I am a part of. It is quite pleasing to see an environment like this with lots of different people doing lots of different types of activities, yet not a single one quarrelling. Finally, when this wonderful period gets over and the bell rings for the next period, some rush to the class in different ways; some rush to the washroom; some just say there and walk calmly to reach late at the class; etc. This atmosphere of fun and joy is also broken in blink on minutes and the environment turn studios again.

Today was also one such normal day, everything was going the way it was and always used to go. I was standing alone in front of a window in the hallway and watching my ant-sized pals play basketball. I too though that like anyone one else would, that it was another normal break and school day, and I was kind of eagerly waiting for the next period as it was mathematics, my favorite subject. I usually don’t go down to play as I am not good at sports, but I want to be good at physical activities, I don’t want to be like this, I want to be strong! Even all the teachers and students think that I am a weak brat.. I want to show them that I am a man that they can depend on!

I was deeply lost in these thoughts when all of a sudden, a black panther appeared out of nowhere! Everyone was shocked to see such a thing happening. As soon as saw it, I noticed that it was not any ordinary carnivore animal, then I observed that it had some kind of deep maroon things on its body. I though that it is blood, as I could not see clearly since my damn eyesight had increased again and my lens was still being made. Only if I had my glasses, I could have seen that they are some kinds of formations. Everyone was scared and rushing and running here and there. I was simply standing in the hallway like that only. The panther killed 5 to 6 humans already and ate them. People tried calling the emergency numbers and did whatever they could to be safe. I saw a claw coming towards the window I was standing in front of and, the claw tore open the grills and rods of the window. People around me ran here and there in panic. I was still standing there, amazed and fascinated by the panther. The claw went away and the panther moved towards the hallway on the other side. Only then I noticed that it had grown, it had become bigger in size. Without thinking for another time, I leaped out of the broken window and jumped towards the panther, to face it.

Wow, damn it! I leaped towards danger without even thinking for a single time! Am I going to die just like this, tightly closing my eyes because I am scared of an animal in front of me, without trying to do anything to save myself, letting people watch me being torn into pieces and being eaten by this animal?! No! Impossible! I too want to be strong like my pals, I too want to win the 1st place in running race, I too want to score many goals and baskets, but the thing is I can’t do it. But this is my chance to prove. If I can beat this panther down, I shall be looked upon! Oh no, one of its paws is coming for me! What should I do?! Oh my God!! Yeah, got it, run!! I start running to survive by taking shelter. No, I shouldn’t do this, if not how can I show them that I am strong? No, I should be like the eagle not like those birds! Birds take shelter during rain while eagles fly above the cloud to avoid it. I want to show them what I have really got, I want to shine like the sun! So, that’s why I have to burn like the sun too! Come on panther, burn me! Try it, I won’t die, I’ll only shine!

The black panther which was about quarter the size of the school and more than 50 times the size of him, came towards him with its claws aiming at his neck. He was very frustrated inside but didn’t show it on his face. His expressions were as if he knew what to do. He looks straight right into the panther’s red eyes and utters the words, “Gems’ Ray Form One!” and stays still staring deep into its eyes. In flash on seconds, its claws crack by an invisible force. Its claws crack and disappear into thin air. Slowly, the same happens with its body too. What was shattering away the animal’s body was not known, because it was not visible to anyone other that him and the panther. The force doing all the actions was something not visible to the ***** human eyes. And, the spine of that force came from him, its spine came from those words said by him, “Gems’ Ray Form One.” He was still wearing the same expression, as if nothing happened. He was relieved a little since the panther had been destroyed. Finally, there was silence and peace again. He liked the quite atmosphere a lot. There was silence because everyone was shocked, shocked because of what he did. The silence was suddenly broken by a noise, “Ting ting ting ting ting!!!!” and not by the loud cheers he was expecting for being cool. The noise was of his alarm ringing to wake him up from his sleep and fantasy land for another tiring day. He got up slowly sitting on his bed and said, “Ahh, another cool imitated dream by me..” while yawning.

“Yah Ethan! Go and brush your teeth fast!” A woman screaming from outside his bedroom door could be heard.
