I stopped going to school when covid-19 started and I haven't seen my friends for 7 months. I had a national test so my grade started going to school but the others didn't. The school couldn't make all the students come at the same time because if the virus so there were shifts. Only half the students came to school on Monday, Wednesday and Friday while the other half came to school on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. A message was sent to all students telling them which shift they would be in and I got in the shift with most of my friends. But before I got the message my little sister got her message telling her about her shift and she got into the other shift the one that's not with me so my parents made me change my shift. I had one friend from my new shift but I still missed my friends from the other. We only meet during tests. The last day of school before the big test was on the other shift so me and my friend, Kelly, decided to go to school. Betty, Maddy, Sara and Hermione skipped class and hang out with us. But later someone joined us. It was mason. he was from my shift he came to hangout with his friends but they didn't come so he came to us. Me and mason knew each other since 6th grade. He sat in front of me and we would try to annoy each other and play with each other. But when we got to grade 7 things changed. He started being mean and cold towards me and only me. He treated me like trash. I remember this one day I was talking to my big sister's friend and I told her about mason and she was with her friend who heard us and he called mason then made him trip and fall. he told him not to mess with me. After that he never bother me again. Well back to the present, he sat with us in an empty class room and we hang out but I didn't talk to him and he didn't talk to me. But later he called all my friends and told them that he likes me but he was joking...I think. the we started talking and just hanging out. Then it was time to go home. when I got home he started texting me and we started talking. We just talked and talked. At the time we had a time off school to study for the test like a week or so. We would always talk when we had time. Finally the day of the test arrived. My friends were telling me to talk to him while his friends told him to talk to me. We were afraid and nervous to talk to each other at least that was what I felt. And at last we did. Almost forgot to tell you my name.Hi my name is Addison.

It was the national test day so we went to school. My friends called him without me knowing and when he came they left so we could talk alone. " how are you?" he said. "I'm fine just nervous for the test. And you?" I asked. " Me too. So where your friends friends telling you to talk to me?". When those words came out of his mouth my heart started beating fast and many thoughts came to mind like 'How did he know?' 'does he think I like him?' 'does he know I like him?' and many more. I tried to calm down and said "How did you know?". "My friends were also telling me to come and talk to you." But before I could say anything the teacher told us to get to class because the test was about to start. We didn't get to talk after that. When we got home we started texting. He texted me first.

M. 💬 Really, I'm sure I got half of it wrong but I'm happy that it was easy for you.

A. 💬 Actually I've never liked or loved anyone before.

M. 💬 No but I have a crush on someone.

M. 💬 I'll think about it.

A. 💬 Well I have to study and you do too so bye.

M. 💬 Bye. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

After that text I regret saying bye. I started thinking about him. I only pick up my phone to see if he texted me. And Everytime he replied my heart beats fast and my mind thinks about what he said and how to reply. He was my first love and I didn't know how to react or tell my friends. At night I fell asleep thinking about him. The next day arrived and we went to school for the test and it was the last day of test. We had 4 tests, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. We had 1 hour lunch break. The first test started. It was physics and the second was chemistry. I finished my test and started checking it. After that I put my pencil down and turned my answer sheet to face down. I waited for the bell to ring cause no one is allowed to go out be for the bell rings. At last the bell rang and we got out of class. I went out with Betty and we waited for Kelly. We found Kelly and were going out and I heard someone calling my name. And no it's not Mason, it was his best friend Alex. I gave my question sheet, pencil, and other things I was holding to Betty. " You have to tell us everything you guy talk about and please talk to him for a long time. And ask him about test and how he is. If you want ask him about his crush." said Betty. " And don't get nervous just act normal." Kelly added. When she said that I was thinking if she knew I liked him. But before I asked her anything she pushed me towards mason and I bumped into him. " I'm sorry"

I said afraid to look up.

After I bumped into him I didn't move at all. He hugged me and said " How are you? How was test? Was it easy or hard? You can tell me all about it if you want.". Then he let go of me. I didn't know what to do. When those words came out of his mouth I was blushing, my face was so red that he noticed right away but pretended that he didn't. " Hey are you okay? Your face is red are you not feeling well?" he asked. " I...I'm fine. A..and yeah the test was good. Only two tests left. How was test for you?" I asked and we started walking out of the school. " It was okay at least better than yesterday." he said and stopped." What's wrong?" I asked.

Before I continue, we were taking the test at another school so when we finish the rest we go to our school which was close. Some of the students went to restaurants and other places and some went home. Now let's continue. " I'm going home. I'll talk to you later." he said and hugged me. And this time I hugged back. They he went home and I went to my friends. When we reached the school we bought some snacks and drinks. We finished eating and talked for a while. " What did you and mason talk about?" Kelly asked me and she was the person who wanted me to be with mason the most. " Nothing much." I said avoiding eye contact. "Really, didn't I see you hugging and you were talking until you got to the main gate. And then he hugged you and said goodbye, right? So you're telling me that you didn't talk that much after all that? And where did he go? I didn't see him after he said goodbye." she asked me. " He had to go home," I said "and when we hugged me he said ' How are you? How was test?Was it easy or hard? You can tell me all about it if you want.' " "ohhhhhhhh" they said at the same time. I laughed at their reaction and said " After that I said that I was good and the test was fine. I asked how his test was and he said it was better than yesterday's. But we didn't talk much after that. When we got to the main gate he hugged me again and said bye. Why does he hug me without a warning? I get so nervous when he does that. Well after that he went home and I came to you guys." " You guys would make a cute couple." Betty said. " Yeah you would." Kelly agreed. we finished eating and started going back to the school. We talked about test and when the results are going to be shown to us. On the way back we met Mason and his best friend Alex.
