I was in my school cafeteria, waiting in the long usual line to buy food. Just beside the cafeteria, there was a forest. Suddenly, I saw a golden sparks of light coming from the deep forest; no one around me seemed to notice it. I left the line reluctantly and followed the golden sparks. I found myself in the middle of the forest, standing in front of a pure gold door. That door might very well have weighed a thousand pounds!
I opened the door with hesitation. Inside the door, there was complete darkness. Unfortunately, before I could step back, an unknown force pushed me hard into the darkness. I realized I was falling down a dark pit. I was screaming but no noise was coming out of my mouth.
After falling for several minutes, I found myself on a bulky bed. I sat up and looked around. I scanned the room. Around me, I saw some old souvenirs piled up on the shelf with cobwebs and dust. I looked up the old 19th century clock, which was hanging in the middle of the wall. I was startled, it was already 5 o'clock. That was mysterious, as when I was in my school, it was only 11 o'clock. I got to the windowsill beside the bed and took a look outside. The sky was gloomy and strange. It didn't seem to rain though. The atmosphere wasn't any better, it was gothic, which was giving me chills. I got to my feet and plucked some courage and left the room. The long corridor was filled with pictures of noble people and I knew none of them. While I was walking, I kept continuously looking back, as I felt like someone or something was following me. I went downstairs through the rusty stairs. There were no lights, I could only see through the light which was coming from outside, though that wasn't enough to notice every detail of the place. Still I could say that it is an abandoned noble mansion. There was a glass chandelier hanging from the ceiling (which was now filled with dust). There was a long dinner table which looked rusty. The living room was huge. There was also a fireplace designed with gold. The kitchen looked a little modern but it seemed that it hadn't been used for decades. Everything in this mansion looked like they were from the 90's time.
Before I even completed exploring the house, I heard footsteps abruptly and some hoarse voices, which didn't sound like a human's voice. I wanted to run but my legs froze because of fear. I cursed and before I could figure out a way to hide, all the lights lit up. The gloomy, gothic house suddenly looked like a newly decorated house now. Except that the walls were completely golden. I thought to myself, are they really made of gold? That thought dissolved when the walls started to shine. The walls were indeed made of gold. Imperial gold.
The golden walls weren't shocking enough, I shuddered when a hoarse voice spoke behind me, 'who dared to step in my palace?'
Before I could even turn and see who that was, shiny sparks of diamond started to rise from the ground and float around me. My body started to vanish and abruptly everything became dark again. Until I woke up lying on the forest bed from where I disappeared through the door. I was back at my school. Behind the school cafeteria. The weather was the same as it was before. I rose up from the smooth grass bed. Nothing changed except for that the golden door wasn't there. Unbelievable was the fact that, as the door disappeared, it also took all my memories.
