Cheng'er stood near the window looking at the sky,
The evening shadows deepened into blue and purple, The sky was aglow with bright lanterns of the city, The pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw in the night sky.
Looking at the sky Cheng'er was lost in thoughts his mind wasn't at relief even a bit since he came back his face had a concerned look, his eyes expressed guilt but an unknown charisma lured around him, altogether he appeared as a new soul, Nobody could Figure out what he was thinking about.
"ha! Cheng....Er.. Ni.....Ni, Aha aha" said a voice from behind with a Cough
Cheng'er pulled himself together and went towards the bed, He knelt and gently took placed his hand on the old lady's head and smiled
"I've been waiting for you to get up"
" Young Master, I'm so... happy that... you're..back" she gasped
"Please don't talk more, you're still recovering"
Nanny Zhang smiled at him
"Young Master" Called a maid
"yes come in please and set the dinner"
the maids brought the dinner and placed it near Nanny Zhang and they prepared clothes and her medicines
"Here let me help you" Saying this Cheng'er reached his hand to the bowl of soup which was prepared with some medicinal herbs
"Master we will take care of it," said the maids
"Young Master please, don't do this" Cried Nanny Zhang
Just a word escaped from his mouth in a polite yet dominating tone "I insist"
the atmosphere, went silent Nanny Zhang's face displayed a bit of surprise
Cheng'er started feeding her the soup
"Young Master I'm....
" It's bad to talk while eating" Cheng'er interrupted her
Nanny Zhang was confused by his behavior but she quietly eat her dinner.
After feeding her the dinner Cheng'er stood up and straightened his clothes he looked at the empty plates and said
"Clean it up, and help her change and give her the medicines" then he turned towards Nanny Zhang and smiled
"Take rest I'll visit you in the morning, please get well soon" saying this he left her room
as he reached the door he paused and commanded
"Take good care of her" and went away leaving Nanny Zhang in Shock
She was very confused this wasn't the Cheng'er she knew
As he was walking around the corridor he spotted Qin Yue she came towards him with large steps, She came to him and knelt and she sobbed holding his hands
"Cheng'er Ni Hui lai le, Mama was so worried about you Erze, I know you were angry at me but you should know that Mother loves you, I was scared as hell when you were disappeared.
Erez don't do it again, Hao ba?" wiping her tears She asked
hearing this, Wen Ying who stood at a distance wanted to spit blood. his brain cells pressured him to laugh hysterically but he took a deep breath and calmed himself then he shifted his gaze to Cheng'er waiting for his sarcastic replies to his so-called Mother.
but what he witnessed next was out of the world
Cheng'er smiled politely and said
" I appreciate your concern, I know I'm wrong won't do it again"
Qin Yue herself was surprised at cheng'er sentence
"Cheng'er......
" don't worry about me I'm fine now, and please get up from the floor, I'm afraid you might get cold"
saying this he gently withdrew his hand and walked away
Qin Yue was petrified she was unable to get up her legs went numb due to the sudden and unexpected shock she received from Cheng'ers behavior
Wen ying couldn't believe his eyes he stood there as though the lightning struck him.
Back in the room Cheng'er changes his clothes and went to sleep leaving every person in Mansion with surprise.
After attending the meeting with emperor Gao Lei came back to the mansion and straight away headed towards Chenger's room and he found him sound asleep
he sat near him gently stroking his hair and his face after a while he placed a kiss on his son's forehead and covered him properly and left his room
On his way back to his room he wanted to meet Wen Ying
he walked to Wen Ying's room and was about to knock he heard some sounds coming from his room
Gao Lei abruptly entered his room and was shocked to see the condition there,
wine bottles were scattered and some broken big sticks were on the ground accompanied with small knives and now Wen ying
had a sword in his hand he was trying to cut his arm
Gao Lei shouted
"Wen Ying, have you gone mad"?
Wen Ying was alarmed by the sudden voice he looked at Gao Lei and ran towards him
" My Lord, Even you know that I've gone mad?"
he questioned
Gao Lei shook him and said
"Wen ying what's wrong with you? I've important matters to talk about. and here you're all crazy get back to your sense"
"My lord I....I.... Am I dead?"
"Of course not, and if you don't listen to me know then you surely will"
Gao Lei snatched the sword from Wen Ying and from the other end of the sword he tapped on his head
"Wen Ying stop all this Nonsense" Now he ordered
Wen Ying came to his sense and he quickly cleaned the place and he gathered himself in a manner and stood there folding his hands
Gao Lei observed his actions and asked in a worried tone because he never has seen Wen Ying in this condition
"Wen Ying are you okay?"
"Ye....Yes My Lord"
Gao Lei kept his hand on Wen Ying's shoulder and asked
"What's the matter? what were you doing now"?
" that...um...I was trying to prove myself
if I'm dead or alive"
Gao Lei looked at him in amusement
"And why did you think that you were dead?"
"My Lord from what I witnessed a while ago I thought either I was dreaming or I was dead"
Gao Lei thought this is interesting what could have made him so crazy, he cleared his throat and asked "What did you see"?
"Master, don't you think that young Master has changed a lot since he returned?"
Gao Lei thought for a while and nodded his head
"A bit I guess, he looks very calm and his behavior seemed new to me!"
"A bit? No No Master Not a bit he has drastically changed"
after saying this Wen Ying narrated the whole scene that took place between Qin Yue and Cheng'er
Gao Lei carefully listened to the entire story his face revealed a trace of disbelief
"Hmmm, he sighed heavily " Well that was unexpectedly surprising"
"Yes Master I still couldn't believe what I saw"
Gao Lei came back from a daze he cleared his throat and said
"Wen Ying I want you to take care of Gao Feng's matter ASAP" it's very important"
he turned to leave and said
"Well, what happened today was out of Cheng'ers personality, it's very strange let's observe his behavior for a while before we confront him"
"Yes master rest assured I'll take care of the matter"
Gao Lei went to take a rest and Wen Ying changed his attire and got ready to complete his job
