10 years Of Love

Today marks the 10th year of waiting for him. But I guess its no use anymore as I’m the one who broke it off with him that day. He went abroad.

I regret it so much but that’s the only way it can make him move on. I guess I should already move on too. There’s no point of waiting for him any more.

“Hyeran! Come dance with us!” Minji said.

I come back to reality. I shouldn’t be thinking about this anymore, I thought to myself.

“I’m all good, Minji.” I said

I’m at the club with my friends Minji and Soomin. Tonight is Friday night so we decided to have some fun. It’s already 11pm and we should leave soon.

I decide to get some drink for us. I got 3 bottle of soju. I don’t drink alcohol at all but somehow today I feel like drinking.

I watch Minji and Soomin dance while I drink by myself. 30 minutes has pass and I notice that I already finish two bottle of soju already.

“What is wrong with me today?” I thought to myself. I started to feel dizzy and things around me are starting to be blurry.

“Hyeran..are you okay?” Soomin ask. I look up to see Soomin and Minji with a worry face.

“I’m alright. I’m going to use the bathroom, I’ll be back.” I said. Both Minji and Soomin nod.

At this point the alcohol starting to kick in. I have such a hard time standing still washing my hands but I manage to do it.

I walk back to Minji and Soomin but I couldn’t even walk straight anymore. I decide to sit down next to the bathroom door until I feel better.

“Miss...are you alright?” A man ask.

I feel someone shaking me. I look up and sees a good looking man with brown hair looking down at me. My mind goes blank.

I blank a couple of times so I can see him clearly. “What’s your name?” I ask.

“I’m Sanghoon. I saw you here alone so I just—“ he stop as I interrupt him. “Can you take me to my friends?” I ask him.

“Sure...where are they?” Sanghoon ask.

I stand up and about to fall over but I didn’t. Sanghoon catch me in his arms in time.

I stand back up quickly. He hold my arm so I won’t fall. I lead the way to my friends while he’s by myself.

“Hyeran! Are you okay? You were gone for so long.” Minji said in a worry tone.

“Who is this?” Soomin ask me.

I look at Sanghoon then I lost my balance and he catch me in him arms again.

“Hi, I’m Sanghoon. I saw her alone near the bathroom and she told me to bring her to her friends.” Sanghoon said.

“We are her friends. Thank you for helping her.” Soomin said. Minji take a hold of me.

“Thank you so much.” Minji said.

“Here is my number if you guys need help. I’ll get going then.” Sanghoon said and leaves.

“Let’s go home. She need to rest.” Minji said to Soomin.

NEXT MORNING

The bright sun hits my face. I turn to the other side and slowly opens my eyes. I see Minji sleeping.

“Yawn” I should get up I told myself. I get up and go to the bathroom. The moment I enter the bathroom, I can smell the alcohol on me.

How much did I drink last night? I thought. I take a nice warm shower to freshen up myself. After getting out of the bathroom, I see Minji still sleeping but I can smell something good.

It must be Soomin cooking something delicious. Her cooking is the best. We three live together and Soomin is the oldest. I’m the middle and Minji is the youngest.

“I smell something good here.” I said walking toward Soomin.

“How are you feeling?” Soomin ask.

“I’m good now. Thanks for taking care of me.” I said as I’m getting a cup of water to drink.

“That’s good. Also...who is that man bringing you to us?” Soomin ask. I pause and look back at Soomin.

“What man?” I ask. I pause for a while and then I remembered last night someone was shaking me and it was a good looking man.

“Is the man handsome and have brown hair?” I ask Soomin. Soomin nod yes.

“I don’t know who he is. I was sitting down so I can feel better and he just starting to shake me so I can wake up.” I said.

“Well...this is his number. He gave it to us and I’ll give it to you to call him to thank him for helping you.” Soomin said give me his number.

“Alright.” I said looking at his number.

Soomin finish cooking breakfast and Minji wake up at the right time. Minji go freshen herself up and come to eat breakfast with us.

After breakfast, Soomin left to hangout with her boyfriend and Minji go to visit her parents. I’m alone at home as usual. I don’t go out very much.

I decide to call the man who help me yesterday at the club. I wait for him to answer.

“Hello? Who is this?” A man answer.

I froze. “This voice sound familiar. Did he come back already?”I thought to myself. My heart start to race.

“Hello? Anyone there?” The man ask.

“H-Hi, is this Sanghoon?” I ask in a shaky voice.

“No, I’m his friend. He’s using the bathroom right now. I’ll tell him to call you when he comes back. May I ask for your name?” He said.

I’m nervous at this point. Should I tell him my real name or a fake name? I thought to myself.

“I-I’m Kan Hyeran.” I said. I can feel my heart beating faster.

“Alright. I’ll have him call you when he come back.” The man said and end the call.

I sit there thinking if it’s him or not. It can’t be him. He leave this place for good. He can never think to come back here because of me. Suddenly the door unlock. I go out the room to check who it is.

“Soomin? You’re back early.” I said looking at her and her boyfriend.

“Yeah...we just want to hangout here today.” Soomin said.

“Okay...I’ll get going. I need to get some work done so I’ll be working at the cafe around the corner there.” I said.

“Okay, have fun Hyeran.” Chanyoung said.

“You too with Soomin.” I said and leave.

AT THE CAFE

I’m working on a project. My team and I have to get ready for a ceremony welcoming someone special to NS Business Company. I work for a design company called AD-Design Company.

*Rinnggg* *Rinnggg* My phone start ringing.

“Hello.” I answer.

“Hi, I’m Kyun Sanghoon. You called me a while ago.” Sanghoon said.

“Oh yes..I want to thank you for helping me that day and I’m sorry if I do anything to you.” I said.

“You didn’t do anything to me.” He said and laugh a little bit.

“Mmm...I will treat you to lunch. When are you available?” I ask him.

“Haha..you don’t need to treat me to anything but if you want then I’ll accept it.” Sanghoon said.

“Of course I have to. Are you available to have lunch on Monday at 1pm?” I ask Sanghoon.

“Yes I do. I usually have a 1 hour lunch break so that would be great.” Sanghoon said.

“Sounds good then. See you Monday.” I said and end the call.

It’s 5pm already, I should go home. I leave the cafe and go home for dinner.

I unlock the door and sees Soomin and Chanyoung cooking dinner.

“Wow. I see a cute couple cooking dinner for their child.” I said jokingly.

“I have to help out to be a good husband for my beautiful wife.” Chanyoung said smiley.

“Ouuuu, someone is blushing hard right now.” I said teasing Soomin.

“Guys stop.” Soomin said shyly.

“Where is Minji?” I ask.

“She will be back on Monday.” Soomin said.

I nod.

I go inside my room to change my clothes and get ready for dinner. Dinner is great.

After dinner, Chanyoung stay for a while and leaves around 8pm.

WEEKEND OVER

The weekend go by fast and it’s already Monday. I have to get ready to go to work and have lunch with Sanghoon.

I start work at 8am to 3pm. My work place is only 20 minutes away from where I live.

It’s almost 1pm now and I need to go to the cafe first to wait and have lunch with Sanghoon.

*Phone Message*

Sanghoon: Hey Hyeran, I have someone coming with me. Is that fine with you?

Hyeran: Yes, that’s fine with me.

*End message*

It’s 1pm now and Sanghoon and his friends should arrive soon. I’m waiting for them to come then we all will order food together.

*Ding* the door bell ring. I look up to see Sanghoon and his friend. I wave my hand so Sanghoon can spot me. He sees me and start coming over. As they come closer I notice that Sanghoon’s friend is Jaeseon. Ryu Jaeseon, my first love.

My heart start racing. “I don’t know what to do. Will he know that it’s me or not. Probably he won’t because it’s been 10 years. What should I do? They’re coming closer.” So many questions comes to my mind.

“Hi, Hyeran. This is my friend name Ryu Jaeseon.” Sanghoon introduce him to me.

“H-Hi, I’m Kan Hyeran. Nice to meet you.” I said nervously and trying not to look at him in the eye.

“I’m Ryu Jaeseon. Nice to meet you.” Jaeseon said with no emotion.

“Please sit down.” I said to them.

They sit down and the server come to take our food orders and I pay for it right away.

“I’m going to use the bathroom.” I told Sanghoon.

“Are you trying to run away?” He said jokingly.

“I would never do that.” I said smiling at Sanghoon.

I get inside the bathroom and I start to panic. Why did he come back? When did he come back? What should I do? I start to question myself.

I stay in the bathroom for too long now. I should go back before Sanghoon really think I ran away from them.

I get out of the bathroom and then bump into someone’s chest.

“I’m sorry.” I said and bow down.

“Long time no see...”Jaeseon said.

My eyes open wide and my heart is racing again. I look up and it’s Jaeseon looking at me with no emotion. I try to calm myself down.

“I think you got the wrong person. We never meet each other before.” I said coldly to him.

He start to come closer and closer and I’m backing up so he can’t touch me. We’re too close now. I try to go but he was quick enough to pull my arm back and pin me between his arms.

“Stop. I told you I don’t know who you are.” I said quietly so no one can hear us.

His face come near my ear.

“Stop lying to yourself. You’re making a fool of yourself right now.” Jaeseon whisper to my ear.

He move closer and move his right hand to hold my waist. I have enough of this. He have change into this cold monster.

I finally push him away and *SLAP!*

“You disgust me.” I said coldly to him and leave right away. I want to cry right now but I can’t ruin this for Sanghoon.

“Hyeran..you’re back. The food is all here already. And Jaeseon go to the bathroom.”Sanghoon said smiling.

“Let’s eat.” I said happily so he won’t know what just happen.

A couple minutes later Jaeseon come join us. He stay quiet as me and Sanghoon talking about all sort of things.

“Time flies when you have fun.” I said to Sanghoon.

“Sadly it’s time to go back to work.” Sanghoon said.

“Well...we can totally hangout again if you want. But I’ll leave first.” I said to Sanghoon.

“Alright. I have fun talking to you today. Hope to see you again.” Sanghoon said.

We both wave goodbye to each other and I leave without even looking or saying goodbye to Jaeseon.

I get to my car and start to cry. Why did you change so much? I didn’t mean to slap you. I’m sorry. I stay in my car for a while before going back to work.

3 WEEKS PASSED

“Everyone listen up! Tomorrow is the ceremony that you guys been working on for weeks. NS Buisness Company is really happy with the results that you all made. They also invited us to join them to welcome their new business management leader. The ceremony will start at 7pm to 10pm. I want everyone to be there. That will be all for today since you all are working really hard, you all may leave early today.” My boss said.

Everyone is happy to leave early today including myself. I’m going shopping for my dress after work.

AT THE MALL

There are so many gorgeous dress, I thought to myself. I can’t choose one.

I have try a lot of dresses now and all of them are very pretty but I feel like it’s not the I want to wear to go to the ceremony.

I keep searching until my eyes is set on this one dress. It’s a red wine color off the shoulder long dress with a slit on the left side of the dress. I fell in love with the dress right away and that’s the dress I’ll be wearing for the ceremony.

TOMORROW EVENING

“Soomin can you help do my hair for me?” I ask.

“Sure!” Soomin said happily.

Soomin curl my hair and put all of the hair on one side. It’s beautifully done. My makeup matches the color of my dress. I finish dressing up just in time. I have about 1 hour left.

I come out of the room and Soomin and Minji look shock.

“WOW!” Both of them says.

“Hyeran...you’re so gorgeous!” Soomin said.

“Everyone will totally fall in love with you.” Minji said.

“Thanks you two. You two make me look this beautiful.” I said to them both.

“Have fun Hyeran!” Soomin said.

“I will.” I said and leave to the ceremony.

THE CEREMONY

I arrive just in time. I have 10 minutes left before it start. I go find my work team and everyone seem surprise to see me.

“WOWOWOW. Hyeran you’re so beautiful.” My friend coworker said.

They all were complimenting me and I thank every each one of them. The ceremony is starting and everyone is getting seated.

I was shock seeing Sanghoon work in the top business company and he is the MC for tonight ceremony.

“Welcome to our NS Business Company ceremony. I want to thank everyone who comes and thank the AD-Design Company for making this ceremony possible. *Everyone applauses* As you all may know, we now have a new team leader joining the company. We see that he can be a great leader and have the abilities to help us improve our company so we welcome him to our top business company. Please welcome Ryu Jaeseon!” Sanghoon announce. *Everyone applauses*

I was shock! My eyes open wide. I never expect him to work in the top business company. *Make eye contact with him*

We lock eyes with each other. My mind is just blank and heart racing.

“Hello, everyone. Thank you for making this welcome ceremony for me. I’m Ryu Jaeseon and I just came from abroad a couple weeks ago. I was lucky enough to get accept to work in the top business company. I will use this opportunity to help improve the company and myself. Thank you!” Jaeseon said. *Everyone applauses*

He walk away after his speech. I’m still frozen in my spot thinking what I should do. Should I go home or stay?

Now everyone is enjoying the ceremony. Some people are eating and some are dancing.

“Hi, Hyeran.” Sanghoon tap on my shoulder.

I turn around. “Hi, Sanghoon.” I said.

“You look beautiful tonight.” Sanghoon said.

“Thanks.” I said shyly. *Blush*

We continue talking for a long time. I enjoy talking to Sanghoon very much. Even though this is the only third time meeting each other, I already feel comfortable around him.

“Want to go dance?” Sanghoon ask me.

“Mmm...I can’t dance...” I said.

“I’ll lead, you just need to follow my steps.” Sanghoon told me.

“Okay, I trust you then.” I said.

We danced. It was lovely with the music.

As we’re dancing, I see Jaeseon dancing with a beautiful woman. My heart hurt seeing him with another woman.

After dancing, we go get some wine that they offer. I drink two glasses of it.

“Sanghoon, I’m going out to get some fresh air. I’ll be back in a bit.” I said to Sanghoon.

“Alright. Be careful and don’t go too far from here.” Sanghoon said. I nod and smile at him.

OUTSIDE THE BUILDING

Tonight is very fun so far. There’s only 1 hour left to go until the ceremony is over.

“I never thought I would see you here.” Jaeseon said like he don’t want to see me at all. I turn to see him behind me.

“I never thought you would be working here.” I said turning my back to him. He then come to stand next to me.

I move away from him.

“You don’t have to be that afraid of me.” He said and look at me.

“I’m not afraid of you. I’m disgusted by you. You didn’t ask me before you touch me last time. I don’t want to be near you monster.” I said coldly and trying not to look at him.

“A person like you deserve to be touch without asking permission.” He said like he don’t care at all. I feel hurt and disrespected.

*SLAP*

“I hate you! I don’t want a person like you in my life!” I yell coldly at him.

“Also should I tell Sanghoon that you and I been sleeping with each other.” He said as he seem to enjoy disrespecting me.

“I will never sleep with you!” I yell at him.

I raise my hand to slap him again but he is quick enough to get a hold of my hand.

He uses his other hand to pull me closer to him.

“Get away from me and don’t touch me.” I yell at him as I try to get myself away.

“You’re coming with me.” He said pulling me to go with him. I try to fight back but he is holding too tight on me.

“I don’t want to go with you. Let me go!” I said hitting his hand. He glance at me then keep going towards his car.

He shove me into his car and he get on the driver side and speed off. I don’t know where we’re going because it’s too dark out.

I’m actually afraid now. I don’t know what he’s going to do with me, I thought to myself. I stay quiet for the whole ride.

30 MINUTES HAS PASSED

He get out to the car and drag me out of the car too. I try to fight him again but he is too strong for me.

We get inside the house and it’s very nice and clean.

“Let me go already!” I said angrily.

He ignore me and keep dragging me upstairs. I start to panic.

He open a bedroom door and throw me on the bed. I get up and run to the door but he hold my arm and push me back to the bed and pin me down.

“You’re sleeping with me tonight.” He whisper to me ear.

“I’m not!” I yell at him and try to push him away. He hold me down tighter then move down to my neck and start kissing and sucking it.

He finished what he’s doing and released me. “Get up and go wash yourself.” Jaeseon said coldly.

I get up and run to the bathroom. My tears fill my eyes and then dropping down like a waterfall.

I need to stay strong so I can escape I told myself. I take a shower and notice that I don’t have any clothes to change into.

I open the bathroom door and Jaeseon is not there. I see a red nightdress and a white robe on the nightstand next to the bed. I rush to it and try to put it on before Jaeseon come back.

I’m about to put on the dress.

*DOOR OPEN*

I’m shock to hear the door open so I cover myself up with the towel again.

“Get out! I’m changing!” I yell at him to get out. I hear no answer but I hear the *click* as the door is being lock. I turn to face Jaeseon locking the door.

I see him in a towel wrapping around his waist. I quickly cover my eyes and turn back.

Suddenly two arms wrap around my waist. I freak out.

“You smell nice Hyeran.” He said smelling my neck.

I push him off me but he is quicker than me and push me down on the bed.

“What are you doing?!” I yell at him. He look at me up and down.

“I’m doing what I told you earlier.” He smirk.

He start to kiss and suck on my neck.

NEXT MORNING

I slowly open my eyes and feel two arm wrapping around my waist. Then my eyes open wide as I remember what happen last night.

I slowly remove his arms off me and finally escape. I quickly put on my dress from yesterday and get my things and leave his house.

I take a cab home. “I feel disgusting. I hate him. I never want to see him again,” I said to myself.

I unlock the door and get inside my house.

“Hyeran! What happened to you? Why are you like this? Where are you last night?” Soomin said worriedly.

I start to cry as I walk to hug Soomin. I hug her tightly.

Minji came out of her room and sees me crying. She came to hug me.

“Hyeran. Tell us what happened. Where did you go last night?” Soomin ask again.

I shake my head no and keep crying. After I calm down, I tell Soomin and Minji what happened.

They were as mad as I am. They want to go report to the police but I stop them because I don’t want anything to do with Jaeseon anymore.

I call my work and tell them that I’m taking a month and a half off. I need some time to myself right now.

THE NEXT DAY

Soomin and Minji go to work and I was left alone. I feel so miserable. I don’t know what to do.

*Rinnnggg* *Rinngg*

“Hello.” I answer my phone.

“Hyeran, where did you go last night? You never came back. I was worrying so much.” Sanghoon said.

“Sorry, I went home early. I wasn’t feeling good. Sorry for not telling you before I left.” I said trying not to cry.

“It’s fine. At least I know now that you’re home safely.” Sanghoon said feeling more relief.

“Thanks for checking in. I gotta go now. Bye.” I said.

“Wait! Do you have anytime to meet up today?” Sanghoon ask.

“For what?” I ask.

“I just want to see you.” Sanghoon said.

My heart stop for a second. “What does he mean he want to see me,” I thought to myself.

“Sure...what time and where?” I ask.

“Meet me at my company at 12pm.” Sanghoon said.

I pause for a second deciding if I should go or not because I don’t want to see Jaeseon. But I’m only going to meet Sanghoon not Jaeseon. I should be fine with Sanghoon.

“Okay, I’ll see you then.” I said.

I end the call. I try not to think so much about it.

MEETING TIME

It’s noon now and I have to meet with Sanghoon. I’m very nervous because I might see Jaeseon there.

“I’m going to be fine,” I thought to myself.

I’m at the company now and going to meet Sanghoon. I go to the 5th floor because Sanghoon’s office is there.

I open his office door.

“Sanghoon I’m here.” I said. He look up from looking at his computer.

“Come in. Sit down here.” He said politely. I go to sit in the chair in front of him.

“Glad you come here safely.” Sanghoon said nicely. I smile at him but shaking nervously never know if Jaeseon might come in or not.

We talk for a while. I’m glad I meet him.

“Alright, I have to go now.” I said.

“Awee..I still want to talk but you have to go.” Sanghoon said pretending to be sad.

“Don’t worry, I’ll come by sometimes.” I said. I get up from the chair and leave his office.

I decide to go to the bathroom before I leave. After using the bathroom, I come out and bump into a beautiful girl. She have medium black hair and a little bit taller than me.

“Ouch! Watch where you’re going!”She yell at me.

“Sorry.” I said and bow down.

“Sorry ain’t enough! Get on your knees.” She yell.

I look at her confused. “Why would I need to bow down?!” I thought.

“Why would I? I already say sorry.” I said. She roll her eyes and chuckle.

“I don’t care. Get on your knees now and say sorry!” She yell.

“NO.” I said.

She quickly grab my arm to pull me closer to her. *SLAP* I fell to the floor. My eyes open wide realizing what she just did.

I heard running behind me. I turn around to see Sanghoon.

“Hyeran, are you okay?” Sanghoon ask.

I nod yes. He then help me get up.

“Jieun, Apologize to her right now!” Sanghoon yell at her.

“What?! She bump into me.” Jieun said angrily.

“I did and I already said sorry but you still slap me.” I said loudly.

“Apologize right now!” Sanghoon yell at her again. Jieun look at me and bow down to apologize to me.

“I’m sor—“ she got cut off.

“Stop!” Jaeseon said loudly.

We all turn to look at Jaeseon. I’m shock. I don’t know how to face him.

“Jieun don’t need to say sorry.” Jaeseon said. Me and Sanghoon look at him confused.

Jieun get up and go closer to Jaeseon. Jaeseon’s arms go to hold her waist and pull her even closer. She grin evilly looking at me.

Sanghoon step in front of me to protect me.

“Jaeseon why are you stopping her from apologizing. She slap Hyeran.” Sanghoon told Jaeseon.

“Not my problem.”Jaeseon said coldly.

Jaeseon purposely bump into me as he and Jieun walk away. I feel broken. My heart hurt so much. I want to cry. I want to disappear.

“Hyeran, are you okay.” Sanghoon ask.

I nod yes.

Sanghoon lead me to my car making sure I’m safe. I thank Sanghoon and leaves.

I got home and cry. “Why is he doing this,” I thought.

I lock myself in my room for 2 days. I cry and cry about how much Jaeseon hurt me. I hate him. I don’t want to see him no more. But I have decided to leave here and move to another city to start over.

A WEEK LATER: DURING DINNER

Soomin is cooking dinner as usual and Minji is helping her. Dinner is ready and I come out of my room to eat dinner.

“I have something to tell you two.” I said looking down.

“What do you want to say.” Minji said.

“I’m moving. I’m moving to Japan.” I said. They both look at me with an blank mind.

“Are you sure Hyeran?” Soomin said.

“Yes. I want to start over.” I said. They both sigh. I know this break their heart.

“You two know I love you two the most and you two are the only one who understands me. I hope you two understand why I’m doing this.” I said.

“We understand and we will always support you Hyeran.” Soomin said. I smile at them and we continue eating.

After dinner I go back to my room and write a letter to Sanghoon to let him know about me and Jaeseon and that I’m leaving here. I trust him not to tell anyone. I hope he will understand me.

A WEEK LATER

I’m all pack up and ready to go. I hug Soomin and Minji for the last time because I’ll be gone for a long time.

I already give the letter to Sanghoon and I hope he understand me and why I’m doing this.

Before going to the airport, I go to the cafe near me to stay there for the last time before I leave. I always enjoy being in this cafe. I’ll miss it.

I have 3 hours left but I need to be at the airport to check in because the process take a while.

I got out of the cafe and go stand at the side of the road to wait for a cab to pick me up.

I see a cab coming and I’m ready to get in. The cab stop and I put my suitcase in the trunk and get inside the car.

A while after I get in, the driver ask me where I’m going and why? I told the driver simple answers not wanting to tell him the truth why I’m leaving.

30 minutes passed and we haven’t reach the airport. I start to worry. I also notice that we’re not going the right way to the airport.

“Excuse me, this is the wrong way to get to the airport.” I said. He didn’t answer.

I pull out my phone to text Sanghoon.

I wait for 10 minutes but Sanghoon didn’t text or call back yet. I’m worry and scared now.

Suddenly the cab stop at a park.

“Excuse me, why are we stopping here?” I ask confused.

“Miss..please get out and wait by the bench right there.” The driver said. I look at him confused.

“Why? Take me to the airport or I’ll late to my flight.” I said. I start to get angry.

“Please get out and wait there. I’ll be right here waiting for you.” The driver said. I look at the driver still confused.

I get out and walk over to the bench he told me to go to. I waited for 10 minutes now and I see no point of waiting here.

I’m about to leave and suddenly someone hold my hand to stop me.

“Are you leaving me?” Jaeseon said.

“Why is he here? How do he know? Did Sanghoon told him?” I thought to myself.

I turn to face Jaeseon. We look at each other in the eyes. Tears start to form in my eyes and I try to hold it back. I can’t let him see me cry. I can’t let him take advantage of me again.

“Answer my question.” Jaeseon said.

I just look at him.

I break off his hand from holding mine and start leaving. He quickly pull me back and hug me tightly.

“Sanghoon told me you’re leaving. I don’t want to lose you again. The only reason I come back here is because of you. I miss you so much that I can’t live without you. Please don’t leave.” He said sounding like he care and love me.

“I can’t let his lies trick me. I have to go,” I thought to myself.

“You’re a liar! I hate you! I hate you!” I said as I try to pull away. He pulls me in and kiss me. I froze.

I finally able push him away and *SLAP*

“I don’t love you!” I said loudly and walk away without looking back at him.

My tears are coming down crazy as I’m leaving him behind me. I know

I’m the one leaving him again. He deserve someone better than me.

I get back in the cab and leave.

I finally reach the airport and luckily I still have time. I check in and have about 30 minutes left before I leave to Japan.

I call Soomin and Minji one last time before boarding the plane.

3 MONTH LATER IN JAPAN

Today is my rest day from work. I’ve been working really hard at work but I enjoy it a lot.

I’ll be going to a flower shop and then going for a walk at the park for a bit.

The weather here is really nice. Right now it’s the spring season so it’s still a little bit chilly but very sunny too.

I got in and make my own little bouquet of flowers. It look beautiful and smell really nice.

AT THE PARK

Today is a nice day for a walk. Ever since I got to Japan, I don’t have any friends. I did make some new friends but they’re all busy at the moment so they can’t come out with me today.

As I walk, I see a lot of couples. I wish I have a lover like them.

I keep walking and I’m now approaching a shrine. I walk to it and sees a board on the side saying “Pray to get good fortune and meet your soulmate soon.”

I believe the “good fortune” but I don’t believe in the “soulmate”part.

I stand in front of the shrine and start praying. Suddenly I hear foot steps coming and stop next to me. “What a coincidence for someone to be here at the same time as me.” I thought to myself.

After praying, I open my eyes and peek over to the person next to me and surprisingly it’s a guy. I hesitate to look up to see who it is but I sees a familiar bracelet on his wrist.

It look like the bracelet I bought for Jaeseon for our one year anniversary.

“What are you look at?” Jaeseon said.

I look up quickly to see Jaeseon looking at me.

“H—How do you know I’m here?” I ask sounding shock and confused.

“Look what is written on the board.” Jaeseon said smiling at me. I turn to look at the board again. “Pray for good fortune and meet your soulmate soon”

I turn to walk away but Jaeseon pull me to hug tightly.

“What are you doing, let me go.” I said with no emotion. Tears are forming in my eyes.

“Hyeran, I’m sorry. I’m sorry for what I did to you. I miss you so much. Do you know that the day you left me, I wanted to kill myself. I did all of this because I love you. I love you Hyeran. Give me another chance.”

I froze. “Is he confessing his true feelings to me,” I thought to myself.

He pulls away and a tear drop down from my eyes. He wipe it away and kiss my forehead.

“Is what you said true?” I ask in a shaky voice.

“You don’t trust me.” Jaeseon said.

I don’t know what to do and just stand still.

He kiss me. <3

I kiss him back. I can fell the heat between us.

We pull away and look at each other.

“You are my soulmate and I love you Hyeran.” Jaeseon said.

“I love you too.” I said.

We both continue our walk through the park while holding hands.
