The man took the woman hand and place a light kiss on it. still holding her hand he kneeled down, looked up and and took out a red velvet box.
His hearting beating faster than usual he took a deep breath and ask: "Will you marry me and make me the happiest man alive?"
She stayed silent and did not dare to look him in the eyes. Her beautiful hazel eyes were hidden behind her bangs so he couldn't look into hers either.
He gulped. He starts to get nervous and sweaty, fearing rejection from the woman he loves and who he has been dating for years. As if preparing himself for rejection he close his eyes.
The woman squat down to his level still hiding her face. The man look up. "Please don't look at me." she said.
"Why?"he asks
"I don't want you to see me crying." she replied.
"Why are you crying?" he asked worriedly this time.
"Because of you, baka!"She exclaimed, tears in her eyes and blushing.
"What"he said astonished to see her expression. it reminds him of the time he confessed.
Getting worried because of her tears, he slightly touches her cheek with his other hand, caresses it and wipe the drop of water which was going to fall. "Please don't cry. it makes me feel bad." he said
"You really are an idiot. Those are tears of joy!"She exclaimed then added: "yes, yes i will gladly marry you."
Tears falling down nonestop, she hug him and hide her face in his chest. He grabs her shoulders then pull apart. Tears falling down as well, he asks: "For real?"
She sighed, pecked his lips the nodded. The man took out the ring and slid it on her finger. They both got up.
He grap her waist with one hand and grab her hand with the other pulling her towards him. She automatically put her hand on his shoulder. Their eyes were locked together and each were looking deeply into the eyes of one another. A little peck on the lips soon turned into a passionate one.
On the night of Christmas eve, a demand for marriage was made and was successful.
