That night it was raining heavily. It was a thunderstorm. All the people were rushing towards their home. All shops had been closed. The sound of the thunder was terrifying and frightening. The electric pole was struck by lightning. It created havoc. There was chaos amongst the people. They were trembling of fear. They were all trying to take shelter somewhere. During this chaos there was a young boy around the age of 14-15 years standing still, he was completely drenched from top to bottom. His expressions were emotionless. His expressions were emotionless. His eyes were as cold as ice. A man was observing him from distance. He walked toward the young boy. He stood straight in front of the boy. The man was in a white suit with black hat and grey umbrella. The man looked at the boy with surprising eyes and said, “Hey young boy what are you doing standing here? Don’t you want to go home? Your parents must be worried sick.” The boy stood still and didn’t utter a single word. The man didn’t want to live the child in the middle of chaos. So, he grabbed the boy’s hand and started walking towards his car. While walking he said,” Young boy my conscience doesn’t allow me to leave you here all alone. So I am taking you to my mansion. After the thunderstorm I will take you to the police station and I will ensure that you get to your home safe and sound.” Still the boy didn’t utter a single word and just followed him. They sat in the car and left. Soon, they were in front of huge, luxurious mansion. It was still raining. The man signaled the guards to open the gets. Soon, they entered the mansion. He asked the servants to get some clothes for the young boy as he was soaking wet. After changing clothes the boy stood in front of the man. The man said, “Young boy why were you standing there? Were you waiting for someone?.” For first few minutes the boy remained silent but after that he replied. The man was shocked y his reply but, he didn’t showed any expression. What did the boy replied that the man was shocked, well the boy replied that he was waiting for “death”. The man became curious and thought that what in the world made the boy to think like this. The man asked the boy calmly, “why were you waiting for death to come, is there any special reason for that.” The boy replied in a cold voice, “My parents were one of the most respected people in this country but, as people say good things not last for forever. Me and my family were leading a good life until my father’s company suffered a very big financial crisis. My father sold our old home and furniture to pay the debts. After that we shifted to an old town. I those days, people in town used to criticize our family but we never bothered. Finally all things were getting normal until one day we decided to go on a long drive, we were all happy. The most exited one was my little brother but who knew that the most exciting day would have become our worse nightmare of our life. My father was driving very slowly but suddenly a truck appeared and hit our car. All my family members died on the spot except me. I was in comma for 4 months and I was also severly injured. I also lost one of eye’s eyesight. After that many relatives of mine wanted to take me in because of mine father’s life insurance that was a very huge sum of money. I never thought of the money because I just wanted to be happy and I also thought why any one of them which I call so-called relatives didn’t appear when my family was suffering from such a crisis. Finally, it was decided that my aunt will take care of me. But soon after I shifted, my aunt used all of the insurance money for her own welfare and began to treat me like burden and if I protested she would beat me until I start bleeding. I couldn’t bear it longer so, I ran away. Now, I think that life can give only pain and there is only way that I can get free by this pain that is death. The man patted the little boy’s head gently and said, “Young boy death is not the solution of any problem. Life is full of struggles but if you overcome it then only you can achieve success. Don’t think that I am just saying things; I am just saying this because I can feel it. If I didn’t overcome it I wouldn’t be here.” The boy became confused and asked the man that what he meant by that. The man said, “My family was one of the most famous and prestigious family. My father was the CEO of one of the largest business company. I used to lead a very luxurious and happy until one day around midnight when we were all sleeping around 10 to 14 people burst in to our home and started firing my whole family died except for me well they tried to find me but my mother had hidden me in a closet. It seemed like someone had hired them to kill our whole family. After few day Police had found the criminals and sent them to jail. Till I got gained conscious of my state, it was too late my own relatives took over the company and I was sent to orphanage. I made my mind and work so hard and faced so much hardship that one day I set up my own company all by myself and bought that company which was once my father’s company. That is why I want to say that never lose hopes and live your life.” The boy’s eyes became wide and lit up. After that a ray of bright light came from the window and lit the whole room. The man chortled and said, “Looks like we chatted whole night and it was dawn now.” The boy chortled also and said, “Yes it is finally dawn now.” The boy bided the man a goodbye and left from that day onwards he worked really hard. After 14 years the boy has turned into a very successful oversea company’s CEO. It was night time. The boy looked out of his company’s window from the top floor enjoying the cold breeze and remembering the face of that man and said softly in a low voice with a gentle smile, “Thanks for bringing dawn in my life.”
