I have foolishly mistaken everything about us
"Hey, are you serious?" said the person before laughing. "You thought we were dating? Chill man, we were only playing around."
He only kept his head lowered but he felt himself shrinking. Knowing it'd be more embarrassing if he didn't do something, he tried hard to look at him but couldn't supress his worried look. He held every ounce of gloss appear in his eyes. God knows how much he held his breath while keeping on his stand before this cruel person.
But as soon as he said, "Anyways, I'm not gay and since things got awkward. Let's not hang out anymore." It was the last of it.
Feeling stunned and his line of sight fell to the floor again. With wide eyes, he did not want to hear those words. Never. It hurted him more like a sharp dagger slowly puncturing his heart, even twisting in it. He grimaced in pain inside but never did he dare to let it show.
So he turned his back on him and walked away.
"Hey, where are you going? Aren't you going to say something?" the voice called out to him.
He clenched his jaw tightly begging himself not to turn brittle. He must walk away. He must get away from him. He knew his heart could not take it even for another milisecond.
Silent tears slowly dropped like a trail by the sidewalk and the subject of his painful affection caught him crying but didn't run to him. He only watched him walk away and disappear from the crowd.
"Haa... I was relentlessly betrayed"
After knowing how far he was from the man. He stopped walking and looked up at the sky as he narrowed his eyes watching the clouds crowd the sun while turning dark and heavy.
Ah, thank goodness... it was about to rain. The rain was very symphathetic. It always gives him the chance to cry to his heart's content.
Water droplets gently drooped down into the city before continuously letting everything out. As it were lightly raining, his tears was also smoothly flowing down. And when it overflowed everything showering all the heavy water, he bursed his sobbing and snivelling noises with his tears flowing nonstop.
After a moment, with only delicate droplets falling warmly down to his chin, he finally had the strength to continue to walk. So he walked and walked not realizing he arrived into a restaurant. When he saw this colorful restaurant flickering lights from the open sign. His series of tears was now put to an end.
This was the place where he and the bastard first met. Of course, he was still holding into it even if he knew it was hopeless. But he brushed all of it aside and went to open the door as the jingling sound of the bell followed.
The restaurant was lively with partying students and cheerful office workers. He ambled to an empty table and sat lazily following to grab the menu.
In the end he wasted himself and drank alcohol like it was the end of his days. His flushed cheek squished against the table as he then heard the bell jingling from the door and moved his head to look, his other cheek squishing in turn.
With sluggish eyes, he managed to make eye contact with this handsome man but he closed his eyes instantly passing out and snoozing the next.
The handsome man slightly widened his eyes and recovered the next showing off a subtle smile before continuing to walk with his colleagues to an empty party table.
The night was long. Only when it was beginning to strike 9 pm did the restaurant almost emptied out. It was almost because a certain someone was still napping deeply with no sign of waking up.
The handsome man and his group started to take their leave too. Before the man passed through the sleeping person, it paused for a moment to catch a glimpse and noticed its swollen eyes. He guessed it must have cried.
Before he left the restaurant, he was kind enough to leave his handkerchief behind putting the handkerchief on its clenched hand.

"Oi, hello?" said the waitress snapping her finger at his face.
His eyes slowly opened, "Huh?"
"Oh you're awake. Sir, we're closing the restaurant. Please take your leave" said the waitress moving on to walk to the cashier to get her bag.
He mustered up the courage to get up from the chair half-asleep. Shit, he drank too much.
And then he noticed he was gripping something tightly.
"..."
Strange... he doesn't bring handkerchiefs so where did this come from?
He turned his head left and right to check but there was no one there except him and the waitress inside the restaurant. Then did someone actually gave it to him?
Why?
It remained a mystery to him. It was only after 2 years did they unexpectedly meet again.
The same handsome man. And it was the only one who remembered him while he was completely clueless that the handkerchief left at his hand 2 years ago belonged to this person.
