Let take a glimpse of how my YouTube recommendation was only about kpop at some point (may be still is)
In 2018 the app called "Share it" had a new feature updated where the vedios of recent trending news and memes were uploaded... Coming across Exo's "Love shot" specially Kai's red dress with his beautiful iconic move "its a love shot" drew me towards Kpop word... It was like the invitation
Not searching more I left the kpop world even before I could entry
Then came my cousin with BTS song "Idol" trying to reinvite me... trying to talk about this with my friends I found out that Kpop was a alien world even in 2018 to us
Thus having no one to accompany me to travel around the kpop world I decided to come back
And then came covid..lock downs and quarantines.. scrolling through ticktock I came across many many kpop vedios specially bts, the iconic "Lachimolala" caught my attention.. as u can predict my YouTube history started to fill up with bts songs and funny vedios
But still bts/kpop was alien to my friends but this time I realized I wasn't actually alone but had numerous number of ppl like me who love them and this world
Though now I can find at least 20 of ppl around me having same interest as me, the number of ppl who aren't interested haven't decreased in number either.. well we can't except everyone to like the same as us
But the issue here is how they describe their dislikes
"Eww! they look like girls" - the common statement or opinion I commonly come across
I just have one question "Is the problem here is that they look like GIRLS or that the BOYS LOOK LIKE GIRLS??"
If the word Girl is emphasized here then the person is against girls who thinks lowly of feminism
If the phrase look like girls is emphasized then the person is with no doubt a racist
Simply putting things in order the prejudice that looks, features, nationality determines the talent, skill and capacity is what those ppl believe
If u say this to them on their face they would say "No" but unfortunately knowing or unknowingly they r still leaving in the gutter
If u dislike something or someone say u dislike them but don't point out unreasonable reasons which sounds nothing but like a bull$hit
We kpop fans appreciate the proper reasonable and rational reasons and excuses regarding ur dislike but not some $hitty phrases that describe ur cheap mentality
Hoping that the next time when someone talks about not only kpop starts but any one's looks ignoring their talent I and u will question them properly showing them their worth, I will put a end to my msg
Hate it if u think I was wrong like it if u r with me
Thank you 😊
