Introduction
I am Haruto Watanabe, a computer programmer and an orphan.
My working place is far from the place I live, so I have to go by train to work
I was sitting on the window seat of the train viewing outside the window,
Suddenly I remembered something about four years ago,
Do you wanna know? ........... By the way I am not asking your opinion, so let me share it,
Here I start my story
About four years ago when I was 24, I had a friend, actually more than a friend, her name was Kauri Aoki, she was my only friend, we both promised each other that we'll marry each other, and live together.
I talked to her everyday, message her every minute.
But that time I needed a job,
I went to London for an appropriate job, although I didn't wanted to leave her.
But I promised her that I'll always be in contact with her, and she promised me too that she'll wait for me.
When I was looking for a job in London I message her every day, called her every time.
When I found a job of computer programmer, I message her that I was returning Japan next week,
But she didn't reply back, I called her many times but she didn't accept the call.
When I came back to Japan,
I immediately went to her house but It was locked,
I searched for her for two weeks,
But didn't found her,
But one day when I asked an elderly shopkeeper, she said "oh, you are talking about Kauri?"
"Yes, do you know her? Where is she?"
"Of course how would I not know about my niece"'s daughter, by the way she is engaged, and now she live at her parents house"
I was very shocked, I couldn't say a word
"By the way young man, if you don't have anything to say, May I go?" she left without waiting for my opinion,
I was very heartbroken.
I thought of going back to England,
Next day after staying a night in a hotel
I was walking to the airport with my broken heart, "walking" because the airport was close to the hotel.
There was a railway crossing, I was crossing it but I saw her, I saw Kauri, I was very astonished,
But she ignored me and started to cross,
I wanted to talk to her, but I didn't think she wanted to have conversation with me,
So I started to cross in silence,
Finally we were in the opposite sides of the road,
I turned back to see her for the last time, but she was already gone.
And it ended with a train crossing the road.
After that I returned to England and continued my job, you know I can't end my life because of what happened, I need to face it, we all need to face it.
And I am happy with my life, and also I am not alone now, I have a caring wife named Maryline Bailey and two daughters, Eva and Setsuko.
Although My story ends here, what's yours 😃
