[Fanfiction] Before The New Adventure in the World of Pokémon

As the sun's ray reached out through the sky as the adjacent area in the night sky slowly become dark. Pidgeys fly around the sky, People with their Pokémon walking through the capital, and this time was the best time for Pokémon training. This was the golden age of Pokémon training, where everywhere you go, a Pokémon is being trained for either a next gym challenge or competition. This wasn't done by just someone but by a group of heroes who risked their lives just for the people.

"It's beautiful isn't it?" Leaf asked as she leaned on the metal bars while looking at the sunset.

"You goddamn right." Red said as he was relieved that it was finally over, Team Rocket was finally gone, Pokémon are free and people began joining the Pokémon training camp.

"Oy! It's almost night, how about we take some drinks." Blue said as he came into the scenery completing the trio of legendary trainers.

"Gramps is waiting for us," Blue said as he then walked away from the couple. Leaf then look at him and smiled as she went up to Red and peck his cheek.

"I'll be waiting for you there." She said as she lifted her face and left.

The lone trainer stood in the sight area, his adventure came finally to a conclusion. He then fixes his cap as he looked at the sky as the sun finally went down and the night spread as the lights of the city began lighting the roads and houses.

"Mister..." said a female voice. Red turned around and saw a little girl, with long white hair and dark bluish eyes while she was wearing a long white dress.

"Yes?" Red gently asked the girl. By the way, she looks, she maybe 6 or 7.

"You're Champion Red, right?" the girl kindly asked, he nodded as this was his first interaction with someone who looks younger than a youngster trainer.

"Yes, and you?" Red asked after introducing himself.

"M-My name's Ren." she was a bit shy but Red kinda understands her.

"Hey, we're few letters away from our name." Red goofed, Ren then giggled from the champion but something was giving Red some concern.

"Say, where are your parents?" Red asked as this was a huge concern for him since a 6-year-old isn't allowed to be staying outside at night.

"Oh, they were just there. I already told them about this." the girl pointed to one of the nearby houses below the sightseeing area.

"I see. Do you have a Pokémon?" Red asked since it is a huge requirement for many young children to go out is by having a Pokémon and he wanted to sure she is safe.

"Yes, here," Ren said as she took out her only Pokéball, a small Pokémon came out and it was a male Nidoran.

"Not bad for your first Pokémon. You know, I had a Nidoran once and I tell you not, he was the main reason I got my first badge." Red said as he leaned down and showed Ren the Boulder Badge.

"If you trained that Nidoran, you can dominate the Kanto League." Red cheered, Ren then looked at the champion.

"He can?" Ren asked the champion, he nodded with a smile.

"One day, we'll battle and who knows, you might become the next champion." Red smiled as he saw the potential of the little girl, he felt like the girl was destined for something, greatness? or perhaps something more. She then smiled at him as she began gaining self-esteem, but Red realize it was getting late and decided to assist the girl in going back to her house.

"It's getting late, Let's go back to your home?" Red said as he stood up. The drinking with everyone can be done later and this girl needs supervision to go home which Red took that path. She then nodded and followed Red.

"Say, your house seems to be very modern, what's your father's occupation?" Red kindly asked, he just looked at the house in the sightseeing area but they never left, yet.

"My father? I don't have a father." Ren told him, this made him confuse as he wouldn't that. It is quite nearly impossible to have a single parent with a kid in Kanto and yet he was proven wrong.

"Uhh Why?" Red asked him.

"It's because of you." Ren coldly said to him, this was giving more confusion to answer but something interrupted them, it was a chopper's noise behind them, Red turn around and saw a Helicopter behind them, pointing its gun at them. as it looks at them, Red was surprised as he saw a familiar logo, could it be? Team Rocket? but how?

"Ren, duck!" Red said as a missile then threw at them, he then grabbed Ren as they lie on the floor. The smokes began clearing as Red realizes he wasn't holding Ren, he saw a foot in front of him, he slowly stood up to see Ren, protected by an unknown force field. He then stood up as he looks at behind him and saw the Helicopter was gone, but how? Red was asking many questions in his thoughts and it didn't help anything.

"Who are you?" Red asked as he realizes that Ren is not a regular 6-year-old girl. He then felt something was being taken from him, he then tried to grab something from his back pocket but he realizes it was empty.

"You looking for this?" Ren said as she waved Red's Pokedex at him like a bully taunting some kid.

"The Pokédex has information about the Kanto Pokémon that can help a lot of trainers along the way. Hemp, how cute." Ren taunted the champion, this was all too ironic as the king was being mocked by a peasant, this was too surreal.

"Give that back!" Red said as he tried to grab it but in a blink of an eye, he didn't manage to grab it but also he was twice the distance away from her.

"This was made for a dream, isn't it? The dream for everyone to understand Pokémon and to advance for society? Just like the dream of Pokémon training, I see no significance." Ren said as she throws the Pokédex to the ground, shattering it into many pieces. The encyclopedia that has all of the data about Pokémon was gone, everything Red worked hard for, was gone by some kid. He wanted to fight her but he couldn't, instincts are trying to push him but he wouldn't dare to fight a girl.

"Charizard, FLY!" Red said as he tapped the Pokéball to reveal his starter Pokémon, without a single thought, he flees before the worst could happen.

"And here I thought that fleeing is prohibited in Pokémon battles." Ren smirked as she sees the champion running away with his Charizard. She then ran to the barriers and jumped as a purple blob appeared from the walls and morphed into the same Helicopter earlier.

"Ditto, use your missiles!" Ren said as the helicopter began chasing the runaway champion. The pokémon followed as it began to shoot out missiles and by a surprise, Charizard was hit. As the chase continued, Ren's white dress slowly turn into Black and a big red R appeared from its back and she placed an R pin at her chest as this was a rebirth for Team Rocket.

"Just give up already!" Ren said in the microphone from the helicopter, Red didn't surrender as he realizes he was being targeted by the team he defeated. He then saw boats began chasing them with big guns, he looks around and saw a mountain, enough for safety and high enough to get away from Ren's helicopter.

"Charizard! to Mount Silver!" Red commanded his Pokémon as this was his last-ditch to run away. The Pokémon followed its trainer's orders and flapped its wings toward Mount Silver. As they reached the highest part of the mountain, they landed safety on the snow, despite how cold it was, he had no choice but this was his hiding route from Team Rocket or Ren.

"I'm sorry Leaf... I think I couldn't make it." Red said as he took out his phone and tried to get a signal from the mountain but everything was against him, there was no signal and he got some bruises thanks to the missed missiles earlier. As he thought he finally escaped, he then heard a clapping sound behind him, he turns around and saw the horror in his eyes, Ren was looking at him.

"How did Team Rocket corrupted your mind?" Red asked him as Ren gaze at him with a menacing look.

"I am not corrupted or being under control. I am the one who controls everything." Ren coldly said to the champion to reveal the truth.

"You barely know anything Team Rocket and then many people called you a hero? Do you think you are a hero?" Ren taunted the champion, as a purple blob covered her hands to protect her from the coldness.

"You guys experiment and sell Pokémon!" Red argued to Ren, she then smiled as she now knows how little Red knows about Team Rocket.

"Do you think that's the only thing we do?" Ren coldly asked him, he then began thinking as confusion was hitting him like a truck.

"Let me repeat it, Do you think that's the only thing we do?" Ren asked him once more and the truth began appearing to Red's thoughts. The horrible truth was now in his head, he was speechless and nearly lose his confidence to talk as he was too shattered to accept the truth.

"Do you think Pokémon is the only thing we experimented on? I can tell you, No." Ren told him the truth, it was true, he recalls as news began sparking about missing children during their adventure, this was too impossible. Red couldn't open his mouth from the trauma as he discovered the origins of many incidents.

"You manage to fool many people but in my eyes, you're just a trainer who can lie and persuade people. Thanks to you, it seems that we have a lot of kids to experiment on." Ren continued talking as she walks past the champion and shivers began crawling to Red's skin, it wasn't from the coldness but Ren.

"You had a lot of talent but sadly, you wasted all of it." Ren said to him at the back of his ear. She then walks further away from him, he then looks at his Pokéball and decided to fight her. Thanks to the trauma Ren place him, he couldn't speak anything else as horrors

"RED OF PALLET TOWN, DIE!" Ren said as a purple aura appeared behind her and it was a Ghastly, Red then throw in Charizard and pressed the Mega stone to evolve him into his full potential.

"GHASTLY, TRICK ROOM!" Ren ordered her Pokémon as the atmosphere change and the tides of battle went directly to Ren even if Red has a mega evolve Pokémon, there was something odd about that Ghastly.

Luckily, Charizard knows what to do. It released a powerful flamethrower that is too much for a Ghastly but something was odd, as the flames about to hit the ghost Pokémon, in a mere second, Charizard fainted, leaving Red to confuse about what happened. He looks at the little girl's eyes and saw the horror, like earlier, she was not an ordinary girl and by the looks of things, there was no hope of winning. Red had no choice but to return Charizard despite it being fully mega evolve and flee as he realizes the world he knows was gone. Ren didn't bother to follow him as this was one of her accomplishments, making the Champion a coward to the point he wouldn't come back to society as the hard truth hits him. Little did Red knows, this was the last time he could ever meet a human being as he lived on alone with his Pokémon.

"Don't worry, the Pokémon world could live on even if Pokémon training is dead." Ren smirked as she finally left Mount Silver, Ditto morphed into a Helicopter and helped her left the mountain and went back to society. She then began calling someone, and it picked up.

"Sabrina, it's time." Ren spoke to the phone. As the chapter finally ends, dark days would come ahead as Pokémon training slowly dies out and trainers are being haunted and the only way to live is to hide and their first victim was Hoenn.
