It was midnight at 2 am I was watching a horror series , it was chilly and windy outside due to rainy season and my roommate was out of station to meet her family, my hone was far from city area so there was no noise of traffic, I got up to make a cup of coffee for me in the kitchen suddenly I hear the knock on the door , I thought it was coming from tv as same scene was going on but the sound of knocking became sharp like it was from the series I realized that it's from outside I turned off the tv , I was too stunned to even utter a word , i was scared as who can come at this late hour to meet me , i was standing near the door then I heard 'Vanessa open the door' I realized it was the voice of my boyfriend John .
I said 'why are you here at this late hour' . 'I wanted to ask you something important ' he said , I was going to say he should have asked at phone , but then he whispered 'about your previous boyfriend'. I was so shocked how he know about it , I immediately opened the door .
He was starring at me for a while then came inside , 'who told you about him' I asked nervously. 'that is not important, the important thing is why did you hide about him', he asked . He was acting strange this time but somehow I answered ,'it...it was a long time ago ', 'did he died ' he whispered coming closer to me , I lost my senses at his answer 'tell me' he continued. 'h..he died at car accident ' I said without meeting his eyes , i remembered in my teenage with my previous boyfriend we used to say each other that we will never leave each other but their was a small fight between us about not giving him time as I was busy with my work that time , we both were too angry he was driving fast and he called but that time I didn't pick up his phone cause I was still upset with him , but then I heard the news that his car crashed with the tree and he is no more in this world , i always thought that it was my mistake.
'i didnt tell you cause the memories were so painful ', i couldn't hold my tears and started crying 'he used to say that he wouldn't leave me ', we were sitting at the sofa , john hold my hands and said 'he will not' he stood up 'let me bring you a glass of water' , I nodded.
The phone rang I saw a notification, it was john message 'what's up' ,I got confused I thought he was messing around I replied 'you came at my door at this hour ,shouldnt you know ', he typed 'dont open the door' and then typed 'wait dont tell me you opened the door , I would never come at your home in this hour without asking you', I was stunned I was just staring at the text my heartbeat became fast, he typed again' vanessa what's happening ??', I immediately stood up and got to the kitchen I saw that no one was there , and no trace of anybody at my home . Then phone rang again and a message came from anonymous 'will meet you again Vennessa'.
