In this world everyone has something they are passoinate about. singing is my passion and part of my dream.
I graduated from high school three months ago, and since then, I have been working continuously on my songs.
My name is Ava and I am my mother's only child.
As the only child, there are numerous expectation and wishes I need to bring to life. To be able to sing and let the world hear my voice was and is my goal.
I want to have a family too, in the future. To my mother, me having a family and living happily is her biggest wish.
I have been working on my songs for sometime now. I tried singing the completed songs out loud to myself. There all sounds good but I don't have enough money right now to record and publish the songs. I do not want to ask for help this time from my mom because she has done a lot for me already. She sacrificed almost everthing for me. This time, I want to make her proud and not stress, I want to put an everlasting smile on her face. I want to be a singer with a family. Accomplishing these two things, is fulfilling my dream.
It has been three months already since I sign up to audition for one of the biggest entertainment industry. I haven't gotten any respond yet. Are they still reviewing the applications submitted by the participants? or maybe I have been rejected. Stop thinking already. I believe that I will make it this time.
(Four days later) phone ringing
Me: hello
Recruiter: hello! am I talking with Miss Ava.
Me: Yes. I am Ava.
Recruiter: I am Olive from the Dream company. We are pleased to tell you that you have been selected to audition for our company. You can audition with any song of your choice which is considered appropriate according to the company's policy. Also an original song is highly required if you have one.
Me: Okay thank you so much, I am really excited. When can I come to audition?
Recruiter: You have been scheduled to perform on the second of June, which is a month from now.
Me: (being nervous and happy at the same time) Thank you. I will be there in time.
Recruiter: Okay Miss Ava we are looking forward to you performance. Have a nice day

I am so happy. I am really happy. I am extremely happy. what should I do now? should I tell mom? no I will wait until after I audition and get the final result. What am I going to wear on that day? Wait... I need to practice. Oh no I don't know what to do right now because I am to happy to think straight.
Finally the day I have been looking forward to is here. The moment is almost here. The moment that will decide how my life would be after today. Did they just call my number?

Please God let me have this one please. It has been six days already. I have been with my phone every single day all daylong after the audition. I do not want to miss a single call or messege this week.

Me: (this number looks familiar) hello
Recruiter: Hello Miss Ava this is Olive from the dream company. We are happy to inform you that you have been choosen to be an artist in our company. More details about this has been sent to your email.
Me: Thank you very much. I will go over the details and get back to.
Recruiter: Okay. Congratulations, I await eagerly to working with you in the future.
Me: Thank you. Thank you

Let me take a look at what they sent. Wow I can sign a contract as soon as possibly. I think next week is perfect. Hoorey part of my dream is coming to reality.
My life is going to completely change today. When I sign the contract, I will officially be a part of this big company. A contract paper looks the same as any other paper only the contents are different. I have read almost all of the pages on this contract and there is only one page left. Policies page. In order to sign on this document I agree to the following: to be train by the company for a year, to alway protect the reputation of the company by my actions, and to not be in a relationship for the next 10 year.
Wait. What? Ten years? Is this a joke or a prank. I am just 18 now and by the time this contract expires, I will be 28 years old. Well not bad I will go for it. All done.
Me: Here is the contract. I have read and understand all that are required of me.
Olive: Great. I now officially welcome you into the Dream's family. I hope that all of your dreams will be achieve with the help of this great family you are about to join.
Me: Thank you. I am so happy. I believe that with the help of the company I will fulfill my dream and also help the company grow.
Olive: Congratulations once again.

Me: Mom, guess

Me: Just guess?
Mom: You got admission into a college with full scholarship.
Me: Seriously, I have not aplly to any college yet. Good guess though. The thing is... I am officially a trainee in the Dream industry and will be an artist there after a year if training .
Mom: What? How come? when did you apply to be trainee
Me: I did not wanted to bother you about this. I just wanted to tell you the final good new.
Mom: My baby is grown now. I am happy for you. But you will be living me too...
Me: Don't be sad mom. I will come visit during my free times.
Mom: I wish you the best of luck in all you do. I pray that all of you wishes and dreams come to pass and I will life to celebrate those days with you.
Me: Amen mom, they will come to pass. I will go to the company in a month. So, I have a full month to be with you and I want to spend it all with you.
I finally went to the company and was trained for a year. It has been four years already, but still it feels like it all happened yesterday. I am now one of the well know inspitational singer in the world.
My dream to be a singer is finally achieved. But there is one still a part of this dream left. To get married and have a family.
To marry?
how can I do that now since I can not be in a relationship? I do not want to disapoint my company. They have got higher expectation of me and we have a big project coming up in a year that is really important to the company and everyone working here. I will wait until after the project before I tell them my plan. I kind of fell bad, but my dreams are not completed yet and my mother's biggest wish to me has not been meant.
