I walked into the dance studio only to see my best friend Jungkook drenched in sweat from dancing for such a long period of time. I was here about 5 hours ago with Jungkook, I had left after 3 hours of dance practice
"Jungkook-ah, don't overwork yourself. It's not good for you; I understand you want to do good for Army. But you know how much they worry about us and want us to be healthy, not only physically but mentally. Don't overwork yourself please," I remember what I had told Jungkook 5 hours ago.
"What are you still doing here? You've been practicing for 8 hours, go home and take a shower and eat something please. Also get lots of rest Jungkook," I has said strictly to the bunny looking boy. I was upset that he has been overworking himself.
"But Tae, I'm not good enough yet," Jungkook had pouted probably hoping his cute pout would make me change my mind. He was beyond wrong, it just upset me even more.
"What are you talking about? Your dancing is great; stop dancing for today and go back to the dorm Jungkook. I'm serious; I'm sick of seeing you come home exhausted and barely able to walk because you have overworked yourself. Now, stop making excuses and go home, Jin will have supper ready by the time you make it home. Go." I admit, I raised my voice a it when I didn't need too. But I was mad and hurt, I look at Jungkook's shocked face, his pouts usually work but this time it didn't, I hadn't raised my voice at him in a while so that probably shocked him too. He put his head down and gave a quiet 'Okay, bye Tae; see you at home.' avoiding eye contact with me. I watched him go to walk out only to be pushed back in by our manager, 'What the hell?' I thought.
"Jungkook, I thought I told you you weren't allowed to leave until your dancing is MY satisfactory. You have not reached it yet, go back and continue dancing," Our manager scolded Jungkook. I was ready to fight, first of all; no one should tell Jeon Jeongguk his dancing is not satisfactory when it is beyond satisfactory. Second, no one should talk to anyone like that. Even if it is a manager, that's just wrong. And last but not least, Jungkook has been practicing all day; he deserves a rest, I doubt he's eaten at all today. Because I know Jungkook, he will work non stop until it's perfect; he won't stop for anything, well except for water and a bathroom break.
"Jungkook we're going home, supper is probably ready by now. Jin would want us there." I said as I glared at our manager and grabbed Jungkook's arm dragging him out of the dance studio into a taxi. The ride was quiet until Jungkook spoke up,
"Thanks Tae," he paused avoiding eye contact, what is with this boy and avoiding eye contact with me? "For taking me away from our manager. I didn't want to dance anymore for the day but he wouldn't let me leave. Thank you," Jungkook whispered the last part. I smiled at Jungkook and pulled him closer,
"Anything for my Kookie," I kissed his ear and started playing with his hair like I normally do with him.
"Ah~ finally, you two are home. What took you so long?" Jin asked the two of us as soon as we walked through the door almost like he was waiting for us the whole time.
"Our manager wouldn't let Kookie leave because his dancing apparently isn't satisfactory," I scoffed still upset about that. Jin's smile faded quickly and was replaced with a mixture of anger and sympathy.
"Jungkook-ah, are you sore? Are you hungry? What am I saying? Of course you're hungry. Come sit and eat you two." Jin dragged us to the table and gave us our food. I finished before Jungkook so I went and got a bath ready for for him cause I knew he would be sore.
"Thank you Tae Tae, you didn't have to, I coul-" I cut him off by saying "You're welcome Kookie, and I don't care if you could have done it by yourself. I wanted to do it for you." I gave the younger boy my boxy smile who smiled back with his cute bunny one.
"What are we going to do about our manager Tae Tae? You know he's going to punish either you or me or possibly both of us for what we did earlier this evening," Jungkook frowned and cuddled further into my side with a loud sigh. I kissed the top of Jungkook's head and tightened my grip around the boy.
"I don't know kookie, we'll figure out something, don't worry. For now let's just sleep okay?" I looked down and started petting the younger boys head that was on my chest.
"Okay, good night Tae, I love you," was the last thing I heard before sleep took over me with a quiet 'good night Kookie, I love you too.' escaping my lips.
