Part 2.
The next day.
Nadia was sitting on her desk at school Thinking about Ron and the time spent together with him.
She was looking at the terrace of her apartment and smiling when,
The home room teacher came for attendance and announced that a new transfer student shall be joining them from today .
Nadia waited with anticipation,
She knew or rather guessed it, who the student was,
And BINGO!
It was Ron,
"Hello everyone, I'm Ron and its a pleasure to meet all of you " - he said.
The girls were literally drooling over his looks.
Nadia somehow felt a bit jealous.
Ron then looked at her and winked .
Nadia blushed - "am I falling for Ron?!, omg, my heart beats so much whenever i look at him" she thought to herself.
Ron then came and sat right beside her.
They spent the entire day together.
And when the school broke up.
Ron grabbed his bag and before leaving he approached Nadia and said-
"Meet me at the terrace this evening at 6, lil cupcakes, i have a big surprise for you."
Ron left the class immediately.
Nadia's eyes widened after hearing the term "lil cupcakes".
"H- how did he know about that term?!-" she thought.
The class became empty but she was still sitting there shocked and surprised.
How does Ron knows the name which her childhood love used to call her?
(The story-)
Nadia was 4 yrs old.
It was summer vacation at little Nadia's school.
Her mom and dad took her to the seaside,
It was so peaceful,
Then one day when she was playing at the beach while her parents were basking in the sun light, she met a little boy of the same age,
His name was Arnold.
He was a resident living with his parents near the seaside. His father was a restaurant owner and his mother was a chef of that same restaurant. Nadia's parents loved to dine in that restaurant of Arnold's father,
every time they would go to the sea side That restaurant was a 'must visit' place for them.
Arnold and Nadia used to play a lot throughout her summer vacation stay at the seaside,
Both became inseparable,
They used to play, build sand castles, and at dusk used to sing a beautiful song-
Tangerine! Tangerine! touch of bliss
Seeping through the dozing sun,
And resting on my lips.
Sip on my tea yet I taste the haze,
Of the drunken sun, with his stupefied gaze,
He looks at east, while hugging the west,
Setting his bed as he plans to rest.
Cushion of the horizon welcomes him,
as he places his body reluctantly.
He covers himself with the veil of eve,
And sigh a long heave of relief.
Arnold used to call Nadia cupcakes because she loved to savour the cupcakes of Arnold's family restaurant.
Gradually Nadia's parents also became fond of Arnold, He used to visit Nadia's holiday home and play games with her. Nadia also used to visit Arnold and Arnold's parents used to pamper her so much.
Then one day the summer break was over and it was time to say goodbye.
Both of them met near the seashore for the last time before Nadia's departure,
Then both the innocent hearts promised to marry when they would grow up.
During the course of time, both became busy with their life. Forgetting about the times they spent together.
(Back to present day-)
"Little cupcakes"
This name stirred up the sweet memories locked within Nadia.
She didn't remember as to how long she was sitting on her desk and reminiscing those times until the school watchman came and asked her to leave the school premises.
She then came back to her senses and remembering that she still needs to know how Ron got to know that childhood name of Nadia.
She ran back to her apartment and rushed to the terrace.
No one was there.
She checked the time on her wrist watch and it was only 3pm.
She slowly walked towards her apartment, while she was about to ring the doorbell of her flat she glanced at flat no. 301 .
"NO-" She thought to herself, "I can't knock on their door, I don't have the guts yet. I'm already puzzled, let me wait until 6 "
She spent her time completing her school tasks and eagerly waiting for evening to approach.
