It all started from the day when I was playing random games on my grandmother's mobile phone. I was just 14 year old back then. When I was playing I saw a pop-up advertisement. It was an advertisement of an app called Mangatoon. It interested me so I installed it. To my surprise it was an online comic reading app. I went through the whole app and read some comics which interested me. They were really really good.
As the time passed I became more and more addicted to this app because it had so many nice comics. As time passed the final term examination of my class 9 came. I still remember that I used to lie to my grandmother that I needed to study from phone at night but instead I read comics. As a result my grade was down but it didn't affect me even a little bit and I continued to make excuses to use phone.
Next came the class 10. It was a really tough and life changing class. I had 5 term examinations that year but as a result my score was not good because I used excuses that I used phone at night to study but I used it for reading comics. That year also went by and the final examination came due to my addiction to this app I couldn't get a good score. At the final time when I should have studied at night I read comics.
That time also passed by now it was my class 11, it was the year 2020. Yes the year of the world pandemic. As a result my studies degraded even more coz of online classes. In June 2020 I found that the the comics were started to be locked by coins which was really disappointing for me caise I didn't even had a single coin but I wanted to read the comic so I thought why not become a translator to earn coins.
I gave my trial translation of the language Hindi which passed. I tried to translate a few chapters of some comics but to my surprise I had to wait long time then I discovered that there were chat groups for translators. As I started to get familiar with it I also discovered that there were private chat groups too made by the authors contracted with mangatoon. I found it all very nice. I came to know about few groups then more and more and more.
It was all very good and going nicely, I had also made a bunch of friends in Mangatoon. Then I saw some people exchanging points for coins I also thought to exchange them to read comics which I did too. I thought this thing was very profitable. Then I also started exchanging points for coins. Day by day I became richer and richer. I was very happy.
After that a person told me about the secret of getting translation accepted in Hindi language. I also tried doing it to my surprise it worked. I was gaining heap loads of coins in every chapter. But then the secret became passed on to more and more people. There was Competition going on around to which person will get his/her translation accepted. It really annoyed me so I left it and joined another translation language but the whole process of transferring took a whole month even then that language was not good at all.
In the meantime I came to know about the competitions going on around in Mangatoon. They really interested me. I came to know that there were Communities lead by a few people to organise these competitions. I also tried to join in and passed the interview too though I was very nervous throughout the whole interview because it was the first time I was giving an interview. Every thing was very formal.
At first I also stayed formal with everyone but then I came to know that the people there were not so much formal and were friendly. My first job there was as a judge for the Heartbeat Contest going on then. The Community started to expand and got on social media platforms. I also got the job as the assistant of the Head. It was all going very good. Then the community started to expand more and creating new books and competitions.
I was also given a department of my own with people working under me. But starting a whole new department as not an easy. It was a hell load of work. Though it was all done perfectly and my department people also helped me alot. After settling all I had a secretary, an assistant and a manager. They were very nice people.
All was going on very nice but the bad times were yet to come.
