my knight in shining armour,
I thought you swore to protect me forever.
Have they taken you away
with their misleading words
or have you gone willingly
leaving this ugly ducking behind.
Don’t worry my knight,
I’ll be perfectly fine.
Breathing and obeying like always.
Make sure to come back though,
to see me become
what you never though I would be.
Princesses have scars
they don’t wish to show.
Guess my latest one
would be loneliness the you left behind.
It’s not surprising to see you gone,
even my parents abandoned me.

to keep company
