It has been that way for a very long time, till the year 2037, when scientists discovered that pearl lost in time. Using it as an power source, they transferred 9 lives to every human born that year. My father was one of them, but somehow, I was born with that same ability? Scientists have confirmed that there are rare cases of genetic transfer. And I happened to a lucky soul whose soul could take on that extra lifespan, but at what cost? What if someone finds out about my abilities? I know for sure that, there are people out there trying to find lucky souls like me.
