I was sitting on the bench watching my daughter playing around with her toys, my husband went away for awhile to take the call. as I watching my daughter happily, a sudden voice calls my name made me look, and when I saw this person my eyes went wide. "Hey, How are you?" he ask, the man in front of me is none other than my first love. the man I love since I was in high school and college yet this man is also the one who break my heart... "how are you?" he ask me again but I didn't say anything, instead I look away from him and eye for my daughter instead. "it's coincidence to meet you here Michael, never expect to see you here. how are you? it's been 6 years since I last saw you" I said while I feel him sitting beside me. "yeah, it is... the last time I saw you is when you were there at my wedding" he replied. "so, how are you? I can see that your already married" he added "yeah, and my daughter is going to be a big sister soon" I said while caressing my 6 month baby bump.
"Hey, I want to say sorry for everything I did to you, I know I already apologize... but I also know that it's not enough, it was my fault that you-" he was about to say something but I cut him off "you don't have to, I already forgive you for a long time, I forgive you just for your family and to our daughter as well" I said while looking him in the eyes. my daughter's father is my ex boyfriend or should I say my first love's child, we broke up because I found out he cheated on me with a new girl back when we're college. we had our daughter not because we made it with love but accidentally did it because I was drunk and the man I slept with is Michael. "it's weird isn't it?...that you promise one day that you and me will get married after our graduation on college...but it turns out that promise is not even real... it was all illusions..." I said to him with sad expression on my face "when I was at your wedding, I look at both of you thinking that it should be me not that woman in front of you... the woman you cheated with, when I look at her, imagine that it was me in the altar... I dream about us Michael that we're happy with our kids... but now, all of that is now gone... "
"I'm so sorry for everything I done to you... " Michael said and I smile at him with tears on my eyes. suddenly my husband calls my name and I immediately wipe my tears off from my face "Hey Henry, is your call finish?" I asked with a smile "yeah, oh Michael. it's nice to see you again. I'm surprised your here." Henry said to Michael "Yeah... me too" Michael replied "I really want to talk with you, but we really need to go. Honey our parents invite us for dinner, we should probably go now" "alright, Elise! come on pick up your toys and let's go!" I shouted so Elise can hear "yes mommy!" she replied with a huge smile on her face. after she pick up her toys, she went to us and hug me, "Let's go?" I said and she nodded, for the last time I look at Michael once again and said "it's nice meeting you again Michael, but I hope this is the last time we see each other... Goodbye" I said with a smile then turn around to walk away as Henry's other hand wrap my arms.
as Michael watch his first love walk away with her husband, a child voice called out "Daddy!" he said and hugs his leg. "Hey my prince" he said as he pick him up. "who are you looking at daddy?" his 4 years old son asked as Michael smile at him "Jack? do you know that this park is the place where I meet my first love" he said to his son "really daddy? you mean the girl you truly love before mom?" his son ask again "yes" he replied as he looks back at his first love once again. "and just now I meet her with her family... I just hope that this man will take care of her, make her happy, treat her like a queen... and protect her for me... I hope that he doesn't break her heart like I did" I added as his son just look at him in confused "Let's go, mom must be waiting" he said to his son as he started to walk away.
