The story spans back to her elementary school days, She was 5 and quite alone back then, as her little hands didn't got any friendly hand to hold, she always used to be alone, not because she didn't like anyone there, but it was because she was too nervous to talk to other children. Then one day-
" Why do ya keep drawing and not not play with us Noelle?" A cute voice startled her for the back while she was drawing something. She turned around and saw a boy holding a ball, She was confused as to what she should reply. But the boy didn't wait for an answer, he grabbed Noelle's hand and took her to the play ground, " You are going to play with us, and I won't take no for an answer" they reached the play ground and the boy then kicked the ball towards Noelle and said " c'mon pass it to me!" Noelle clumsily kicked the ball and it went rolling towards the boy he said, " good, but kick it a bit harder "
Soon enough Noelle found herself playing with thr boy and his friends, it was the first time that she broke free from her loneliness by grabbing the hand of his new friend- David.
Their journey of friendship over the years was consistent till college, they became best friends and their bond was concrete.
Then one day,
it was 5:00 pm, Noelle was sitting at the balcony and gazing towards the shimmering lake next to her apartment while sipping on coffee, she took a day off from her office work, not because she was tired, but it was her birthday. Her mother was already staying at one of her relative's house since a week owing to a wedding ceremony. Noelle was also invited but she refused to go because of her Office works. Noelle's mom called her and wished her happy birthday and planned to spend some time together once she returns back home.
Noelle lost her father in a car accident so it was her and her mother living together since she was 8.
She was completely introverted, so apart from David none was her friend. Since it was her birthday, she expected the first wish from her bff, but... David neither wished her nor called or visited her.
Noelle was kind of sad since she couldn't spend her birthday with anyone. Suddenly someone rang the door bell, Noelle stood up lazily and grabbed some money and went towards the door to receive the pizza that she had order to treat herself. However it was not the pizza delivery man but standing in front of her was someone with a huge flower bouquet and a bunch of balloons, after identifying that person, it placed the brightest smile on Noelle's face - It was David!
