"I like you. Please go out with me" She confessed to me.
Again, another confession. I'm tired of this thing. She's cute and I appreciate her courage to confess but I'm not interested in going out with her nor with anyone.
"Sorry but you ain't my type." I said bluntly and move my feet to walk away but she said something that made me stop and frown.
"You are not my type either." She removed her ponytail, letting her hair loose and dance in the wind and suddenly grabbed my tie, making our faces become closer. "That was just a dare. Don't think highly of yourself." Her innocent face that she showed me earlier became fierce.
I was stunned for a moment and our closeness made me stared at her face. I stared at her mesmerizing eyes, down to her pointed nose until to her pinky lips. I gulped and looked the other way. This is bad, my instinct is reacting.
"Eyes on me. Listen... I want you to pretend to be my boyfriend for 3 months."
"Huh?"
What is she saying? Is it included in the dare she was talking about? Thinking about it made me feel a bit pissed. I'm not going to play it.
"Listen too, I'm not interested with your game. There are plenty of boys out there, go and find another one. There's no reason for me to do what you are asking. " I said coldly.
I removed her grip from my tie and attempt to leave but she grabbed my tie again and suddenly...kissed me?! It seems like I lose my ability to move. I just let her pressed her lips into mine but I didn't respond to her kiss out of astonishment.
"I want only you. Now, you have a reason to do it. It's my first kiss, so take responsibility." She said with a wink.
Uh, what the heck.
"You're the one who kissed me..."
She touched her lips and tears came out from her eyes. Then she looked at me innocently.
Dmn, she's obviously pretending but I somehow can't make myself decline her again.
"Fine, I will pretend to be your boyfriend but I have one condition."
Her eyes sparkled when she heard my second answer. Dmn you woman for tricking me. After 3 months, we will not meet again.
She agreed with my condition. That is 'No interference in my private life.'
So I became her fake boyfriend. I don't know why she needs me to pretend to be her boyfriend. I came to know that her confession is not a dare at all and so this pretending thing.
With her pretty face, I don't believe there's no one who wants to pursue her. Well, she has a fierce side that only few know, including me.
"Hold my hand" She offer her hand for me to hold. I narrowed my eyes at her. There's no one around us. Why should I hold her hand?
Since I didn't respond she took the iniative to hold my hand, even making our fingers crossed. I didn't say anything and continued walking with her.
Her hand is small and warm. I don't feel like letting go. With her by my side, I somehow feel serenity.
"Thank you for walking me home" She said with a sweet smile. I nodded and slowly let go of her hand. Then I continued walking on my own.
As we pretend to be a couple, we shared a lot of moments together as well.
Whenever we both are free, we go on a date. I'm not bragging, but my family is rich. I have nothing to worry about money. Everytime I see her happy face, it warms my cold heart.
She has a fierce side but she sometimes acts childishly. Sometimes, I spoiled her but when I'm really angry, I scold her. Everytime we argue, I'm always the one who apologize eventhough I'm not the one at fault. It iritate the hell out of me when she gives me a silent treatment.
We are only a fake couple but seems like she's taking it like we are real. I don't mind it though because I feel like I'm falling in love with her...My first love.
Today is the last day. I'm planning to confess to her to make our relationship real but...my plan was shattered when I received her call.
"The 3 months we are together were fun. Eventhough you were just pretending to be my boyfriend, I had a great time being with you. Thank you for doing my selfish request..." She continuously said and suddenly I had a bad feeling.
"Wait, why are you saying these to me on the phone? Meet me and let's talk about us." I said sound confused.
"I can't"
"Why?"
"B-Because...I'm in airport right now."
Is she going to fetch someone? But why do she need to say those things? Ah, I know, this is just a joke. She played a similar joke on me 1 month ago.
"You're joking again. Meet me at our usual meeting place. I will tell you something."
"No, I'm not...Please, listen to me...you were the only boy whom I fell in love with. Eventhough, you don't like me. I-I will never forget y-you." I can hear from over the phone that she's crying. She's serious?
My heart ache, knowing that she's leaving right now for real.
"Then why are you leaving?" I like you too. Please don't leave and hear them from me personally.
"B-Because I need t-to..."
"Dmn it. You should have inform me beforehand. Don't move, I'm going there right now" I sound angry but I didn't care. I need to catch up and talk to her personally. I don't want our relationship to end like this.
I immediately connect my phone to bluetooth and rode my motorbike to go to the airport.
"Wait for me"
"...Yun...my plane is here. Goodbye. Please live a good life and please don't find me. I love you..."
"Don't hang up yet. Hello? I love you too!...Sylvie?" She hanged up the phone already. I bit my lower lip hard until it bleed and tears flow out from my eyes. I felt like my heart was ripped off from my chest. It hurts that my hand tremble and body became suddenly cold.
My eyes were clouded that I didn't notice a car coming towards me. It's too late to dodge it completely hence, I crashed into it. My body fly out and smashed in the ground.
Ah, I can't move. I can vaguely see the things in front of me. I can see a blood flowing near me. Is it my blood?...Why my eyelids so heavy? I'm sleepy.
After 10 years....
"Sir, here are the resume of the applicants"
My assistant informed. I nodded and she leave my office quietly.
I browse the resume of the applicants. One resume caught my attention.
"Sylvanna Cross..." Why do her name sounds familiar?
