And from then on, I was alone... All alone.
After drifting far away in the waters, crying all the way through, I slept.
I woke up when a bright light fell on my face and it was hard to ignore.
I was watching the light continuously, when some shadow of a person fell on me.
It was a man, a human.
Well most of us, dragon keepers rarely see humans after what happened 1000 of years ago. That's history better to tell later.
It was an old man in his 40's who took me up from the water and threw away the basket.
He smiled gently and it was my second time to experience a short time warmth.
Short time?
Yeah, that man took me up cause his sons, wife, daughters all of them were rich and don't want to take care of him, so he lived alone before I came up.
After that 7 years of my existence was in his house, doing chores, taking medicine for the old man whom I called Dreng. Its a dragon word for half father. He was the only person who didn't judge me by my Ruby eyes.
And that's when he told me the prophecy of the Ruby eyes.
It's said that 2000 years ago when the earth was at its end, the sun was turning into a red giant and the moon had no place but lots on metal spaceships stuck on it. People here were in terrible state. But the most frightening thing was when something odd happened in the sun's core and it slowly started to swell and the last phase would have been the sun bursting.
At that time a scientist in his lab made some kind of hybrid which is now a dragon, after succession he made many dragon and tamed those with humans who afterwards became the Dragon keepers.
They took some pigment to the outer space and threw or did something with it to the sun, from then on the sun crystallised and gave constant heat to earth and from then on the prophecy had begun, it said de that after 1000 years there will be two children with Ruby eyes borned under the sun's Ruby stone. And one of them can destroy this world when the other can make this world a better place. If the 2 of them are togather for good , this world will live for many years but if those 2 are for bad or against each other the world would be destroyed.
And its said from then on Ruby eyed children both of human and dragons were killed.
It was disgusting to hear that at that time but now I know how selfish everyone is. And most exasperating thing is that I am one of the Ruby eyes but I wasn't borned with it, someone changed my eyes but who would listen to me if I tell
them that!my own parents left me cause they were unable to fight with other people.
As for how I got into slavery was that I was dragged out of Dreng house cause he was unable to pay of debt. And from then on I was being a LOWLY servant, taunted, flirted by people! 😠
By flirted, it was only the head maid's beloved son who liked to flirt out with me, disgusting!
And hear I am, riding my horse and nearly out of the forest! I could see the light out there! It's great! Finally I can see my family! 😼
