She was sitting in the waiting area for a bus stop, the rain is pouring and the thunder's booming. A man approached her, "Hi!", he said.
"Hello!" That was her reply.
The man sat beside her and asked, "Working overtime?"
She nodded 'yes' as a response and asked, "How about you?"
"This is my waiting spot for someone, my home's just a few minutes away from here." He replied, smiling at her.
"Oh, who are you waiting for?" She asked, being curious all of a sudden. She was never the one to pry on someone else's business but her curiosity took over her.
"My woman." He said looking sad and in pain.
"Lucky woman, huh?" She said, feeling envious of the woman, the gorgeous man was waiting for.
"Nah, I'm the lucky one." He said, looking and smiling at her. "I'm Blake, by the way." He introduced himself.
"I'm Aubrey, nice to meet you." They shook hands and exchanged smiles with each other.
After a few minutes of talking, the bus has arrived.
"I'll go now, Blake, 'til next time!" She waved goodbye and rode the bus.
In her mind, she was thinking of how lucky Blake's woman is to have him as a man, and how she would love to have someone like him.
Weeks have passed and their routine is always like that, meeting each other in the bus stop because Aubrey often works overtime and Blake waits for the love of his life.
"Hey, Blake! I never saw your woman, when will I get to meet her?" She said, not minding if she's 'feeling close' because curiosity has taken over her.
"You'll meet her soon, Aubrey." He said, not looking at her and just staring at nowhere.
Few months have passed and they rarely see each other in the bus stop because Aubrey's boss don't let them work overtime anymore.
One night she was walking to the bus stop because her boss made her work overtime again.
"Hey, Blake!" She greeted the man, sitting on the bench.
"I can't take it anymore Aubrey." Blake said looking sad and hurt.
Aubrey went to him and felt worried, "Why? Did something happen? Why didn't you call me?"
"Please, remember me." The man whispered, barely audible to hear.
"W-what?" The woman stuttered.
"You're the one I've been waiting for, everyday. I can't tell you because I want you to remember on your own." Blake said, fighting back his tears.
Only the two of them are left in the bus stop, "Me? Why me?" Aubrey asked.
"You had a car accident three years ago. You lost some of your memories, it's a selective amnesia and unfortunately, you have forgotten about me." He laughed sadly.
"When your father found out that you're not able to remember me, he took that as an adavantage to get me away from you." He continued.
"Why would he do that?" Aubrey asked, feeling a bit of pain in her head.
"I was the one who caused your accident. I'm the reason why you were rushing to the airport and got hit by the truck! I AM THE REASON FOR EVERY PAIN YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED! I just wanna be the reason for your happiness but I messed up!" He cried.
"C-can we go somewhere?" He asked, she just nodded because she was still in the state of shock.
He led her to his penthouse, as they went inside memories came flooding in to her mind.
"AAAAHHHH!" She screamed clenching her head to lessen the pain.
"Aubrey, no, no, no! I'm sorry, my love! I'll take you to the hospital!" He said picking her up in a bridal style and was about to run but...
"No..." She said before fainting. Since Aubrey disagreed to go to the hospital, he just called his family doctor to check her up.
The next morning, Blake woke up early to take care of Aubrey.
"Good morning, my love! Please, remember me, it's been a very hard time coping up, since I left you. I know it's wrong but, you, getting hurt because of me is the worst." He whispered in the sleeping woman's ear.
He went to the kitchen and cooked breakfast.
"Why am I here?" Aubrey's voice boomed in the kitchen.
"Y-you still don't remember me?" Blake asked, feeling hurt and sad.
"Why would I not? You were my friend from the bus stop, duh." She said, he was about to reply but...
"And you're my greatest love, how can I forget you?" She said, tearing up, longing for her lover.
"My love! Never forget me again!" He said hugging her like he never wanted to let go.
"I won't, love, I won't." She said, hugging him like it was the last.
"Thank you." He said.
Confused, she asked, "For what?"
"For remembering me, Aubrey." He said and kissed her with so much love and passion.
