PROLOGUE
the wolves will devour her soon enough," spat a woman.
We couldn't kill her on our own!" replied a man's voice.
Let's get out of here! the odd-looking woman and man left. the woman, happy to get rid of the child, walked away briskly, while the man for his part wore a mask of sadness.
The child was crying and screaming at the top of his lungs, without one of them coming back.
Hunger...thirst...fear...want daddy...
The little one, despite her very young age, had time to become attached to her father and to fear her mother.
She was three months old when she was born and her mother had decided to abandon her.
Babaaaaaa!!!!
this little girl seemed possessed, but make no mistake, she couldn't talk at that age!
far from it, this little girl isn't an ordinary baby. she is indeed a cross between elf and human. her development is therefore significantly faster than "the norm", she also has some "hidden" human and elf capacities due to this same cross.
A few minutes after both parents left, the wolves showed up, as the woman had predicted.
Hersss!
One of the wolves approached and sniffed her, recognising the scent of prey, but also instinctively that of an ally.
Undecided, the wolf repeated his suspicions to the leader of the pack who in turn went to meet one of the elfs of the forest.
He returned a few minutes later with an elf at his side.
the great patriarch (the oldest wolf of the pack) also approached and sniffed the "little thing".
hersss!
Without warning, the little one held out her frail and fragile hands to the wolf, and after having received the elf's agreement of approached the child. The Elf, who had no idea how long human life would last or how long they would grow, took her in her arms and brought her back to her village.
After hours of indecision, the wise man of the village decided that the Elf (named ymir) could keep the child.
he had no idea that the child would remember for a long time the animosity he had shown towards her... although she herself didn't know what that feeling was.
