Can I love you once again?
Can I share my stars and rain?
Can I melt in your warm embrace?
Because my heart was only ever yours to break...
*******
I met you in the evening of that beautiful spring
When clouds were neither grey nor dark
The soft sunset passed through the curtains white
Your sweetest smile, stole my heart
*******
Stealing glances from that very last bench
Carving your name beside mine too
Secretly, my crimson cheeks that wished
For you to love me as I loved you
*******
I swear I would've confessed
Only if you were ever to look at me
When you and her smiled in the corridor
You looked better with her, I agree.
*******
Many hidden letters, and words unspoken
I carefully had them in the bottom buried
That small sweet dream, meant to die
Those feelings kept far from tears diaried
*******
Each word, each thought, all for you
I untangled those delicate threads silently
Your hand was held by someone else
I, only waited quietly.
*******
Waited for what? I've forgotten too
Faded memories coloured the deepest blue
Dreaming for the sun to never set
And that small door too, to never close
*******
But doors are made to shun the eyes
Deceive, cry, and all those good-byes
I soared too, with wings to fly
Without you, maybe, into the amber skies
*******
I LOVE(D) YOU 🙂

Poet's note : this somehow also depicts my stages of maturity and one sided crushes. I hope you like it. And if you did, please share your views.
I assume we all had that unrequited love, somehow, someday, in our highschool too❤️ Thank you for stopping by the spring of my youth.
